Props to Maximus for drawing AFTER both Fiends and still managing two killshots even after taking a bullet in the shoulder. He can be an idiot, but he comes through when it matters.
The whole scene is amazing, but the editing when she raises her hands and starts walking sideways looked like a dance, was complemented greatly by the smooth music playing. A masterpiece.
Especially the scene where Thaddeus empties his gun trying to kill Maximus but misses all of his shots, it reminded me of that one scene from Pulp Fiction where the frat boy misses all of his shots as well. Also another scene that felt like it took inspo from a Tarantino movie was that one scene when the NCR ranger's head got domed by one of the Brotherhood soldiers and his blood splattered onto the plants. That scene reminded me of that one part in Django Unchained when Schultz shoots the slave overseer on the horse and his blood splatters onto the cotton.
@@kno6ndg7 yes I did Everytime she or someone else would about to die 🎲 they would get saved, like when Max was about to die from that gunshot wound. She goes into a random hospital only to find it's a vault that takes randoms, or the time she faced off against the ghoul and Max saves her I can keep going. I watch season 1 a couple times already. Have you?
This is my favourite scene from all of the season. The camera, choice of music, atmosphere, everything. You can feel the tension when two parties meet each other in apocalyptic wasteland. Maximus shows some proper backbone and knowledge of the life in the surface in his pragmatic way to Lucy. Yet she tries to deescalate this common everyday scene in the wastes, because she never experienced something like this before. Her innocence and naivity is at first met with confusion but her positive attitude and different perspective charms in the end everyone into doing something different this time. It almost works, but life coincidences get in the way and everything falls apart in the end. Maximus, maybe a little bit selfish and cruel at times, is proven right once again and Lucy's innocence is finally shatered when she sees two people die at the drop of the hat, just because of a random incident. I feel like this scene sums up the metaphore of the surface life, Lucy's and Maximus relationship and individual life experiences nicely
One of the best and most intense scenes of the show. Love The Chemistry between Maximus And Lucy. Ella Deserves A Emmy Nomination. Hope Maximus And Lucy get back together in Season 2 and Maximus gets scenes with the Ghoul.
@@jefffort7714 Yeah. Hope Maximus gets a satisfying arc going forward unlike Finn In The Sequel who had a similar arc at first but fell apart by the end.
This scene encapsulates Bethesda games. You don’t know if they’re good or bad until the encounter is over. & if it’s bad then there’s going to be a lot of dead body, you’re injured & you’re asking yourself “WTF!? WTH!? Whaaaa!? Why!?” LOL!
What are you talking about? If they are hostile then they will show up as red on the compass and will attack you on sight. And if they aren’t hostile they will show up as green. Name one time in a Bethesda Fallout game that a hostile raider NPC didn’t shoot on sight. The only one I can think of are those freeside junkies in NV, which isn’t even a Bethesda game.
@@teddiabetes1482eh, plenty of enemies in the Bethesda Fallout games will turn hostile after a scripted encountered where they appear to be friendly (pragmatically, to give you a chance to engage them in conversation before combat). Occasionally you can talk your way out of violence, which Lucy and Maximus tried and failed to do here. Almost every confrontation in, say, the Silver Shroud questline is an example from Fallout 4.
I hope next season they have a similar scene but the mysterious stranger shows up to save them in the nick of time and leaves without explanation because he is mysterious.
We don't actually know if they're lovers of raw Soylent Green, they could just as easily been highwaymen using the teeth of their victims as ammunition since buying bullets can get expensive in the Wasteland.
Biggest issue with the show i feel is everyone is a jerk. There are almost no good people. In the games, yeah, there are crazy/evil people but also good people or at least neutral.
Lucy's charisma level is pretty low since she failed to charm the cannibals but maximus has such a high perception and endurance level he saw this coming.
