- So Miracle in District 20 just recently dropped for Limbus Company and it is... kinda wild. In a game as wacky as Limbus it truly does mean a lot when I say this may be the craziest event in it... Well, so far at least. So thanks for the Christmas Event shenanigans Project Moon.... As an aside though I think it's about time we get a new Sinclair E.G.O.......

It's nice to see Meursault is getting more comfortable with the group, at least comfortable enough to speak unprompted and talk about his mom for a bit this event, it's kinda sweet.
after reading the stranger, in which Meursault repeatedly doesn't share his thought process because it would be too tiring or annoying to explain, seeing Limbus Meursault actually speak up about his thoughts and sharing them is actually really heartwarming. He cares!!!!
@@aceisawesome_Given the writing of Limbus Company so far and how late Meursault's arc is positioned at in the story, I wouldn't be surprised if Meursault's backstory is developed upon some trauma, and he actually becomes more open with the group. Perhaps like the original Meursault, he accepts that he should face whatever it comes and embrace the meaninglessness of life even in the face of futility and powerlessness, reveling in the moment and speaking up his mind and being with the group even if they bear no meaning ultimately
@@ketereissmore3967 I feel like having a trauma backstory will go against the a portion of the message of the Stranger. The Stranger had a character who acted and thought differently from other people because he is naturally like that and he is happy with the way he is. Trauma will imply the way Meursault currently acts is abnormal in some way and will be happier with some other behavior.
Then again these are simply characters inspired by books, not those characters themselves.
@@calvinwill1663 I suppose that would also be the possibility. With the recent trend and Dante's presence, it would seem that the theme of the story is starting to be sinners overcoming their past. It is indeed possible Meursault's arc might end up him accepting who he is, and speak up more despite social judgement

Don's ability to *dumb down* the world around her with her sheer precense is genuinely surprising.
Faust probably uses many equations and metaphorical concepts to understand what happens at the Mephistopheles and yet somehow Don tried to achieve the same thing by using the same logic of those "square piece fits in the square hole" toys....
And it somehow worked!

Man when Limbus Company ends, I wonder if we'll eventually get a game that's set in the Outskirts. There's a lot of things going on in the setting now thanks to Limbus Company further fleshing out the world.

My guess is "wedding" for the timing between the game and the book, but he could very well end up at both by the end of his canto.
I like the start of this, because as I've seen it, Heathcliff may be irritable and impulsive, but he isn't completely Don-dumb, and also upfront. After looking at Ishmael and everything she was during her chapter, Heath must've thought Ishmael was pathetic back them, and he himself wouldn't want to be that. And this line of thought, in theory, opens him up to direct questioning: where we are going, what we'll do there, and so on. And so it was so good to see exactly that: Heathcliff not only answers where we are going - he brings it up unprompted.
This chapter is more amazing than I thought it will, yi sang is still good boy, Ishmael is joking and smiling which is cute, Outis got from bootlicker to grandma to mom now, Meursault speak, and at the end of the chapter Faust genuinely warm toward Dante for once
meursaults starts to speak whenever he isnt asked to. that's character development to me
So now we know what Rudolta of the sleigh and it's Aberration Sandolph actually represent,and why both have patchwork patterns,everything just makes sense now.

20:57 to tell you how depressing i have heard repeatedly that limbuscliffe is more well adjusted and kind than book cliffe. That should tell you everything
To be fair, it's kind of a trend that the original inspirations for the sinners are much more tragic than the Limbus Company versions (since these versions have a shot at going back and fixing/making peace with the screwed up stuff that happend to them in the past.... and they also have Dante to stop them from going to far into the *"deep end"* as it was shown with Ishmael).
Also remember that Heathcliff started this story caving Sinclair's head in because he was annoying him, this Heathcliff isn't more adjusted and kind, he *became* more adjusted and kind.
Game Heath got his character devolpment much earlier then Book Heath which is good because Book Heath becomes worse then the people who looked down on him.
another thing to remember is that limbuscliffe is heathcliff right before he starts spiralling down the deep end, since he hasn't returned yet. part of bookcliffe's absolute atrociousness happens as a result of the events that play out when he returns to wuthering heights. and even then, while he was an abominable person, it was all focused on the targets of his hatred. when he meets the narrator of the book, he's relatively amicable, albeit pretty rude and dismissive of him
No yeah, he's definitely nicer now because he got that Character Development in a positive direction. Book Heathcliff went in very much the opposite direction in the second half of the book. We have no clue how his return is gonna play out though, which is where shit really hit the fan for everyone in the book. (I personally want my boy to Suffer, but that's just me).

Heck yeah, more Outskirts lore. Would be darkly amusing if the people living in the Outskirts are mostly friendly, but surrounded by a ton of literal monsters that would use your spinal cord as a back scratcher... meanwhile the people living in the City are less than friendly and the monsters you have to really worry about are the ones masquerading as people.
Honestly it would make sense. In a more brutal world even the slightest bit of friction can cost a community everything. Sure, there might be a few spats here and there but if you are relying on your neighbor to personally come save your ass in a fight you are sure as shit going to be nice to them.
@@Catterjeeo Yep. I assume that in an environment as harsh as the Outskirts, working together as a community is crucial for survival. Whereas the City has an environment that encourages its inhabitants to backstab, walk over, beatdown, and extort each other for a place. Which I mean is still harsh, but a different kind where it's person vs person.
@@solus1247 It makes sense if the Head is intentionally cultivating such a toxic society to open the "door" that Zena mentioned at the end of LoR. Meanwhile the Outskirts is not only fending for themselves but are also free of the Head's oppression.
For some reason I’d find it very funny if the sinners were wandering the outskirts when suddenly they get jumped by laetitia or something
I feel like the outskirts has so much potential with whatever literature you can put hence even literatures based on mythologies could now be possibly exist as hinted by this Canto and I can't wait for lovecraftian horrors to happen as it may already exist.
As weird as it sounds, my favorite part of this event was that singular stage where you were forced to bring only Don Quixote and Heathcliff, and nobody else. It was actually a really refreshing fight, and I really hope we see more stuff like that in the future (both in events and the main story). For pretty much all of the story we've had access to all the Sinners at all times, but splitting up the group in the story, and reflecting that in the gameplay by locking out certain Sinners entirely, feels like a neat way to add some variety to the challenges we'll have to face.
It also allows us to utilize different team builds and why we should keep consistency on all sinners (leveling them up, UT their IDS, UT their egos, etc etc) instead of just using the same meta team of sinners over and over again I’m hoping to see that more because it really helps feel like the sinners have to depend on each other not just 2 or 4 of them and the rest can slack off.
Honestly, it might be foreshadowing to Outis betrayal

This is an interesting theory, but I think the manager gnome offered Don gifts because she told him about needing an outfit for Heathcliff and he decided that this is an opportunity to lure in a few more "fresh ingridients" before attacking.

Well, we know that Vampires are a thing, because Nospheratu is a Natural Abnormality, who can somehow portal People from the City into his Mansion and turn into Bloodfiends. Other stuff like the Black Forest and the Giant Tree are also hanging out. What I wonder is how Angela is going to be treated by the Outskirt Creatures. She might be too human looking for Gnomes to like, but maybe the various Robot Outskirt creatures like her. Inb4 she also gets some of these Presents and has to pretend to not be too disgusted to not anger her new Neighbors.

I do think that Red Sack being Devyat' Association fixer is actually a reference not to Santa Claus but rather to russian character Ded Moroz (Translates as something like Father Frost). There are some minor differences between them. Santa Claus is Christmas character but Christmas isn't really a thing in Russia so Ded Moroz sends his gifts at New Year celebration. I guess it's cool

Ded Moroz is usually themed blue, not red, and his sidekick is his granddaughter, not reindeer. While he does ride a sleigh, it's pulled by three horses, not by reindeer. So if it IS a reference, then it's not a very accurate one than if it were just plain ol' Saint Nick.
RadioGoat is right here, methinks: Red Sack and Reindeer Man are basically Devyat Association's top fixers and specifically got famous during Christmas, when, I imagine, they get particularly busy with all the delivery orders - hence the theming.
With Hong Lu and Rodion prepping him up im gonna be disappointed If Heathcliff doesn't start canto 6 looking like a femboy. I don't know how they are gonna pull it off but godamn it if someone could it's gotta be those two.

Just the sheer shock the Sinners feel at the mere thought anybody would want to talk to Vergillius.
Still though, part of me looks at Dante contemplating that he shouldn't have turned down the self-defense lessons and just jumps to the idea of him taking the color from Fraudgillis and becoming the Red Clock.
Anyway, I don't have the time to watch this in one sitting right now, but I do love that this entire mess started because Donqui wanted to cosplay really bad. Though, in all honesty, if Heatcliff wants to show up somewhere well dressed, cosplaying as Roland isn't the worst he could do. The suit is good and the full outfit will even hide that ugly mug of his. (Okay, that was a low blow, but I couldn't resist.)
I like how basically every intervallo is some kind of stupid, S.E.A was the most serious and it still has Don's "BEECH VOLLYBUR" moments.
I wish this was voiced for obvious reasons though I understand why PM wants to only voice Cantos from now on it is still a tad disappointing.
I just wish they would record at least some voice clips like other visual novels (Danganronpa for example). It would just help us adjust better

also this side-story shows how awful it is to live in the outskirts like a whole town being wiped out bar two is considered a good scenario in the outskirts like WAW I thought the backstreets were bad but the outskirts are apparently far and far worse

And I do hope that one day we get a chapter or even a whole game set in the Outskirts.
Cinq Don really shined in that first fight for me, the little dude-omes are vulnerable to pierce and with multiple skill slots she gets to stack up her haste and activate her bonuses for being fast, and she's also decent at dodging.

I think the most interesting part of this event is the glimpse of the Outskirts. Entities like Fairy Festival and the Wolf that made me assume fantasy creatures would be reserved for Abnormalities, beings born from human minds. But there's genuinely fantasy creatures out there like Gnomes and Giants. What the hell is going on out there? What other kinds of creatures could be out there? Elves? Kobolds?
Edit: And the hints at Heathcliff's canto with Cathy. I'm looking forward to it, especially from the things I've heard about Wuthering Heights.
I bet there are all the possible book monsters. I hope we will sse something like dragons or wyverns
