True. But the diploma is a requirement. In reality you need work experience and skills for a job. Basic education in math and reading is all you need if you are working in fast food, retail, and other jobs. Highschool is only good if you could choose classes. Then that would be real education for me. I don’t want PE, communication class or Spanish class. The important classes are science, history, health and other subjects. With those 3 jobs I’ve realized somethings. Good because I just dropped out of 9th grade.
How old are you bro i am also in 9th grade
My advice is. Start applying for jobs. Get drivers license. Get into higher education like college. Best of luck to y’all.
I was living under poor family so I also had to drop out.

Who ever reads this comment do not listen to this man even McDonald’s ask for a high school diploma don’t watch this lil short and make the decision to drop out finish school trust me it’s a big accomplishment that paper will definitely make it easier for you in life especially when your trying to get a job where some stuck up people work there not gonna look at that GED the same way they look at the High School diploma
Agreed. Because even if you slide through the cracks at that low wage position (which are literally the only jobs you might be able to sneak into.) you'll be stuck at an entry level position because they'll definitely ask when you try to get promoted.
I was worked at McDonald's and BK and Regal cinemas even do i dropped out of HS
He has a point. I’ve gone years without a diploma and I’ve been doing great because all of the jobs I applied to admired my experience, not my education.
I made a lil bit over 93k last year just driving a garbage truck my friends a electrician he made 122k point being none of us have a college degree 📜 but we make a decent wage don’t believe the hype ….
Fr?
School was the worst 😢😢
💀 this video is ridiculous. You do need a diploma for many jobs...
English and math is nothing new. You only need to know basics in math unless if you are doing career that requires to learn complex math. Otherwise it’s pointless waste of time.
If you want to contribute to society, get a degree
If you just want to be plain rich, dont
Jesus didn’t need a degree to help people. :) No one needs a GED, diploma, or degree to do work or help anyone.
@@EmilyGloeggler7984 but before you help you need to make sure you can help yourself for that no matter how bad it sounds you need money. so a job and for it you will need a degree.

Ppl will regret listening to your advise. You don’t need a HD to become successful but you do need it as a plan B incase things didn’t work out. I’ve seen jobs that demand a HD and that’s why I will not stop until I get mine.
if the place you studied doesnt offer you a job upon graduation, the diploma/degree isnt worth whatever was paid for it in time or money...
so, like: none of them...
The high-school diploma is a simple IQ standard. If you cannot pass high school. There will be concerns with your commitment and ability to learn.
I hate school

true
You don’t need it. It’s worthless. I dropped out over two years ago and this year would’ve been my graduation year. I worked hard for two years and saved up some money and now all of these kids in my grade graduating now are far, far behind. Not only they barely have any money, they also most of them have no real good job experience other than basic places for a few months at most. Where as I worked three jobs in those two years and have three good job experiences on my resume. I used to work at Walmart when I first dropped out, then I became a cook at a restaurant for a year, then now I’m working at a luxury car dealership making pretty decent money for my age. With those 3 jobs I’ve realized somethings. Your employer won’t care if you have a hs diploma or not and from my experience in job interviews they either didn’t ask if I had one or when I told them I dropped out they just didn’t care and were like “it’s okay, it happens” and no further talking goes into it. And I have learned much more valuable life skills in my jobs then I ever learned or would ever learn at school.
thank you... i felt so bad not graduating it wasn't even my fault that i didn't. you gave me a little hope that i can still make it.
@@celestbresant586my advice as dropout. Start applying to jobs. Work full time for starting pay 11-12 dollars. It’s not easy but start somewhere in order to work up to live able wage.
True highschool is educational institutions. In reality you needs skills and work experience for jobs. This is great because when I turn 18, I will already have work experience ahead of all the other graduates (best of luck to them as well) so I will have better chances of being hired when there’s far more job opportunities at 18. I know understand importance of summer jobs and learning to drive when I have the chance. Instead of waiting till 18 to do it.
You should still at least try to get a GED. You never know when you might need one later down the road.
Very inspirational story, your friends graduated and got degrees but they have 0 work experience and barely any money
You dropped out and worked for three years, you might not have a degree, but you have developped a lot of skills like cooking, cooking is a very important skill, you alos earned a lot of work experience and managed to save up money, never let a degree define your worth!
But why are employers still asking for the highest level of education? Just curious.
And Rigby himself doesn’t have one.
The amount of people who don’t realize this is satire is insane
I'm planning on joining the military when I am done with high school cause they pay for college. But for a month now I have been questioning if I need a college degree.

Skills are always above degrees, if you are applying for a job and you have the skills needed to get the work done, they wont care whether or not you have a degree, a celcius or a fahrenheit.
Even with getting associates degree they don’t care. An admissions counselor at my school said it’s just a pretty paper on the wall it doesn’t mean anything and flicked me off. If you don’t have a Doctorate or highest degree in your field, no one will respect you.

Sure, I mean why go to elementary or middle school either? Those sure as hell don't matter right? Just imagine how retarded you would look like to others if you couldn't even read or write. HS diploma may not be required but that doesn't mean dropping out is a smart decision...it's a competitive world out there and you'll want to know as much as you can as possible in general. 'Knowing things' will help you out in life like you won't believe. It's always better to be the person that people go to for help than someone who's just overlooked because you don't have any knowledge to offer
What are you going to do with a high school diploma rather than for lawyer and doctor?
Flex the diploma?
High School diplomas are actually necessary for most jobs...even basic ones, to get any sort of supervisor or management position you need a diploma or GED.
Now college degrees? That's a different story...one could argue a lot of those are either useless or waste of time cause the job market has too few positions and too many applicants. Plus they require people to have these ridiculous leveled degrees (masters, etc) and experience for entry level positions...
Man i had to drop out covid family problems death... REALITY but i do wish i made more than 50k a year i want a degree but them telling me to go back and get a ged is annoying i just want to move forward any tips?
Please help me high school diploma mean completing 10th class or a course after school
You can’t get a drivers license with a high school diploma/GED. You can’t do a lot of things without it.
A lot of jobs probably require a high school diploma.
There are kids who probably freak out too much about the "high school experience" or taking AP courses, even though it's not going to matter in a few years. You get the same diploma taking on-level courses with a 2.0 GPA as the kids who take all AP's with a 4.5 GPA.
That’s true, but if you later change your mind and decide to attend college having a low GPA will hurt your chances of getting into a decent university. I’m saying this from experience.
So basically, unless if you want an important job, the high school diploma is worthless
there isnt something called important or not important, all jobs are important, all jobs are necessary to keep society running,
