@@RLebeauXXXIII the vocals are absolutely not the same style as the original. In no way did he try to match Seal's voice exactly, which would have been a mistake.

Hearing this just made me realize how strong Seal's vocals on this were.
Rick Beato did a great video on this song, check it out: there's the voice, but oh so much more...
His composition skills are just out of this world in this one. The best part is when asked how he thought about the tone changes and all he said he didn't know that was "not allowed" meaning he had little theorical knowledge of what he was doing. It was pretty much all soul.
This version sorely misses the Seals vocal layers. His arrangements are out of this world.

Lari's playing never fails to give me chills. She an absolute master of tone, technique and feel. Instinctively knows when to play fast and when to let a good simple melody speak for itself.
So strong. Phrasing and technique are impeccable and she creates a feel and tension that elevate an already intensely passionate ballad.
As an American I'm not familiar with her. Does she normally play an Ibanez? I know that to some extent Martin is "sponsored" or a spokesman for Ibanez. If she doesn't normally play that guitar then it's probably brand new and that's even more impressive!

@@normwetherbee3403 She has a deal with Ibanez, that's her signature guitar from the brand. And glorified cover band doesn't apply to Lari. Her albums feature exceptional range and expressiveness. It's hard for an instrumentalist to break through to mainstream success, but if you only measure success as hits, then you might not appreciate what she's doing.
Lari is my absolute fav of the «contenporary» gutar players(yes, I love me some Henson and Plini). Her tone and phrasing just makes me smile. Only problem with her latest release: should have been longer 😊
Lari's solos are always so tasteful
The drums sound soooooo good. And Felix is a hell of a drummer. That roll at 1:27, so smooth. Props to the engineers!
Take a bunch of genisouses, ad a bass player with an amazing voice, look for a keyboarder who knows it all and has all these amazing stuff, a drummer able to put in the extra drive, a very elegant lady with a beautiful sound and a guy with a red guitar, that sounds so rich and lightfingered... and you have this amazing band. My respect to each one of you!

First time I heard Felix (I guess) and immediately thought „wow“.
I’m an old drum nerd. Been playing lots for 20 years. I remember back in like 2006 I found a video online of a “young talent drummer contest” held in Germany. And guess who was the winner. Felix! I still remember to this day when I heard his groove and it struck me how deep his pocket were. And he is aging like a fine wine.
Man, Lari rocked a superbly smooth solo.
Just when I think she's done with her solo, she keeps going. And it gets better. And then it gets better still.

Everything about this was excellent. Ben absolutely killed it on the vocal, a great interpretation without just doing exactly what Seal does on the original. Lari's playing is so smooth and she makes it look effortless, and her tone is just incredible. Martin's tone also really great on this.
Back again in my playlist. The entire band is amazing... guitarist and singer/bassist - awesome.
Lari and Martin were both outstanding on their solos. I'm a guitarist, and as much as I was mesmerized by their playing, I was at least equally blown away by Felix's drumming, esp. how he was interacting with Lari during her solo. Wow!
Lari's creativity for the solo is just something else. Her style is meant for this kind of classics

He was out of tune for the majority of time. It is very hard to sing while playing this bass part, that is why he shouldn't have done it.
Wow...all the guitars, the vocals, the keys etc. ...an absolute pleasure to enjoy multiple times. As an extra bonus pleasure just hear this track one more time from the very beginning and focus on the excellent performance of Felix on the drums! This guy is really amazing!
The double guitar solos on all your videos really showcase your guest players' abilities as well as that of Martin himself. As listeners, we not only get a close-up look at two great guitarists adding their individual touches to great covers but also are treated to longer versions of the originals with all of the extra goodies the band adds to the mix. I'm so glad this channel dropped into my feed out of the blue. I so very much enjoy your creations.
