The return of soft wheels is an absolute godsend, especially here in the UK where a lot of the tarmac is really rough. In some places it's almost impossible to skate. There's a LOT of rough terrain in the UK.
lol i feel like the uk has the worst tarmac as its like a cheese grater if you fall on that shit with sharp stones sticking out. most of my worst injuries were because the roads and paths in the uk are just deadly and will rip your skin clean off or you can smash and elbow and that shit. these wheels literally are the uk ultra formula as riding 99a wheels you can barely move.
Got mine two days ago now just waiting on my Andy Anderson. Board and Indy 149’s to arrive for a new setup … At 55 Andy has me wanting to skate again … it’s been 10 years
im from canada and our roads are mostly crap.....my feet would go numb on my 99a spitfires, these make skating so much better and enjoyable i have dragons on both my andy boards......LOVE THEM! thx guys
Been skatin em for a couple weeks now at first I didn’t like the softness coming from skating the STFs for years but once I got use to them I realized how good these are! Usually I have to worry about slipping out while riding slick surfaces but these grip the concrete wood or whatever really good and yet will still slide around when ya want them to.
@@0Failure00 I think so. I’ve been skating at the evergreen skatepark in frisco CO A pretty unique park that has lots of wavy transitions and quite a few oververt sections but the wheels gripped the concrete surface pretty darn good. Gave me confidence I wasn’t gonna slip out while skating fast into the corners
R-bag in the comments!!!.. you are the one who convinced me I need these...but they were already sold out everywhere... They need to sponsor you ...and make more wheels. 🤙
Been riding mine for days now & everybody at the park is TRIPPIN on em. They're smooth & comfortable and allow me to skate WAY longer than normal. They float over the chewed up sections of the park, stick to the walls better on carves, and still allow me to slide whenever I want. I don't see how or why I'd ever stop riding these wheels....
I can go ve you a reason to stop skating these wheels. Andy and George have another new wheel coming out called the Nano Cubic. No more shredded threads on hangars and more width on the trucks to grind and the back of the wheel was designed to lock in better on grinds. I ride Dragons, but can't wait to get these Nanos.
I just tried them out today. They're PERFECT for the high school I skate here in Vegas. Lots of ledges and chunky asphalt. The wheels felt exactly like I hoped they would, I'm stoked!!
I'm riding the Sector 9 Skiddles longboard wheels 70mm/78A and they slide pretty well/fast with my Spluge snakeboard. I'm riding about 15-18mph and even faster and I'm having a hard time to slow down so I have to slide sometimes. The "Shred Thane formula" is pretty good and can't wait to try the Dragon Formula wheels. Back in the days there was NOTHING like those wheels that we have today! Give them a try!
I loved the pop feel of snug tightened soft wheels and the sound it made. So much that I avoided swiss bearings. Like a stealth click such a satisfying sound.
I'm torn between getting the 54mm or the 56mm. I'm leaning more towards the 56 just because I live near some rough terrain, but I'm scared that they may be too big to learn tricks with.
@PowellPeralta, when are these officially arriving to Brazil. I bought 3 sets to bring down for myself and some friends and now everyone has been asking me for a pair. Unfortunately I didn't buy more or I would be selling them like hot cakes.
Hey Powell...I already bought some 56mm Dragons...i love them...but are you going to make these wheels in some bigger sizes ? 58mm and 60mm ???? Please !!! I need more..but i want bigger sizes for my old school decks and pool/ ramp/vert boards :)
Skating them for a month now! Can’t go back!!!! If you’ve ever skated the berrics you’ll know how slippery the spot is, and they don’t slip out! Pretty sick wheels!
@@ramrunsfast Fala, Ramon. Lembrei agora desse comentário. Realmente as rodas são "mágicas". Andando nela em tudo nesses meses e ainda estão firme e fortes. Não uso roda "seca" nunca mais.
I always stuck hard to STF and other hard Bones wheels because I did a lot of Bluntslides/Noseblunt slides at parks years back, but I haven't been doing those much nowadays. I'll probably try these out whenever I feel like getting new wheels & bearings. Hopefully they'll be more in stock by then 😉
I got these wheels and I cannot understate how slick they are. I went for a wall ride and slipped out because of how slick they are. Also, I get tired after like 3 hours of skating but with these I could’ve kept going longer. I highly recommend these wheels. Just wish they would make them in black
People have been saying how much less tired they are but I'm curious why, most of my soreness comes from popping up onto or over things or pushing towards an obstacle. Would need some magic to help with either of those things
@@vancouverbill you would think it comes from popping right? Its ridiculous doe, these wheels legit make me want to skate more. I would if I had the time. I think it has to do with your joints absorbing less of the impact because more of it gets absorbed through the soft wheels. I also read that people feel like they need to push less. Sure if you skate for a couple of years pushing is the easiest thing vs jumping around, but as a beginner pushing is really hard work and ollies cost a lot of energy :-D

Would LOVE to get a hold of these! Unfortunately they are not available here in Norway. And if I were to order them from abroad, the taxes would be redicioulessly high. 😞
I tried those 'other harder wheels' and they're fine on smooth concrete but just awful to ride on the rough asphalt that gets scraped by plows every winter here in New England, so I went back to Rat Bones Reissues and some other cruiser wheels just to be able to ride. I just wish these Dragons came in 58mm and 60mm. Smaller wheels are a lotta work on your legs in a pool at 59 yrs. old. The wider diameter and extra speed is much appreciated. 😉

I have them and they are everything they were advertised to be!
are they noisy as hard wheel or as softwheel? and what about vibrations? hard or soft?
They are quiet like soft wheels and absorbs impact. Can powerslide everything though!
Powell Peralta has been a top tier company for decades, and for good reason. Keep up the awesome work you guys 💖
