      he's a very talented skateboarder, and has decent intentions with regard to his understanding of reality, and the treatment of human beings while operating in his zone. however, he's a clueless hippie child. it is sad, frankly, to read your high marks of his 'frequency.' it's simple, childish fascination, without much thought. just little pieces of experience. he's not even done growing physically (his brain included). you need higher standards, and better influences.

    • @photoion1
      @photoion1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      @@cmtcfu or you need lower standards and the realization that absolute nothing matters. We all die, after that we kill our planet cause of climate change, after that the sun kills our planet, after that the universe dies. None of that leads anywhere, all things end. So why not at least be happy while I suffer through all the pain?
      I tried being grown up for many years, made me depressed and anxious, I changed that mind set and I go with the flow. Now I'm happier, less stressed, more enjoyable to be around and can enjoy things that I like regardless of how they are perceived by others. Listening to Andy talk about waling his route and greeting objects and things really hit me hard. I've lived in the same town my entire 31 years on this planet and the other day I drove down the street in between the house I grew up in and my old elementary school. I walked that half mile stretch on the sidewalk twice a day from 2nd-6th grade...and countless times in between going to friends houses. The city had decided to tear out the entire sidewalk from that stretch, and make a new walking path for bikes and walkers. For some reason it really tore me up initially, I didn't know why. I guess just those memories of the cracks in the sidewalk, and different things along the road that I always day dreamed about walking that route.
    I was teary eyed for a minute or so, before I realized that now there is a new path for some other kid to talk along and enjoy like I did. I have always struggled with getting older, but change happens and it reminds me to go with the flow.

    This is literally one of the best skate films I have ever seen. Most skate films are just balls to the wall skaters shredding parks and vert and whatever without any real story or angle to the film. Andy is such a unique soul. Besides being one of the best street skaters on the planet, he's just a killer human being who's truly in touch with everything and everyone he comes into contact with. Just the fact that he wears his helmet to ride a sidewalk, rocks rib bones on his street deck, and doesn't conform to anything whatsoever deserves high praise from any who respect the art of skateboarding.

    Could not have chosen a better title for this film. I highly recommend watching "The Search for Animal Chin" and "Seen Him" back to back. Andy has certainly seen him. He has seen him in his mindset, in his skating, in the way he approaches things, etc. I like a lot about Andy's mindset-not everything-but a lot. He is bringing a breath of fresh air to skateboarding and demonstrating how to search for Animal Chin to a new generation. We can all learn something from him. My absolute favorite skater right now. Rock on Andy!🤘🏻

It got me thinking about how we often compare things, putting one thing against another, and how we don't need to agree with everything someone says but how important it is to hear each other out. Like Andy says to the old guy in the video "I respect you opinion". You know what's crazy!?! A week after our shoot, Andy was skating down that same street, past the 'hole in the sky' sculpture and the old guy saw him again and called him over! He told Andy that he had looked him up online and was impressed. Then he apologized to Andy for coming down on him so hard. He explained that he had been agitated after seeing all the riots and destruction on the news. One more reason to turn off the news and take the time to interact with people face to face. Thanks again, that was cool how you shared your thought process. Feelin it."

    Probably one of the best skate videos I've seen for a long long time, it's almost unfair for anybody to compete against this. No cliché fashion shot's, No regurgitation, No over produced production or relying on massive hospital drops or rails, just a guy with absolute mastery over his board and a great personality, this has definitely opened my eyes to Andy more than any other piece I've watched of him. TBH I used to find him obnoxious and grating but this video show's him for who he really is and show's his skating in the best light also, nobody is skating like this, nobody is really putting their own stamp on tricks and movement like him, maybe Dan Corrigan is pushing the boundaries of normality within skate culture but I feel he is very indoctrinated in whats cool to do and what isn't where as Andy just does Andy and makes it look good no matter what anybody else thinks. I had to write an entire SA on this just because I felt it deserved my true opinion 🤣 if my man can spend hours just skating to a shop from his van, the least I can do is spend ten minutes writing a comment on how much I appreciated his work. 👊🏾👏🏾

      Thanks for taking the time! Feelin it.

      @@zengabros I couldn't agree more bro, I haven't watched TV for a looong time, and I literally find it funny how angry and twisted people get over things that have no effect on them what so ever, they just get agitated because media tells them to be. I wish I had the patients Andy does in that confrontation, I don't think I could of handled it so well, as much as I wish I could. Great job! Appreciate the comment.

    Watching Andy skate just makes me want to go out and skate more. As amazing of a skater as he is, he still makes it seem accessable. The definition of a professional skater is someone who makes others want to skate, and Andy does that on a supernatural level.

      Weird how he’s a hateful being cause he supports evil lifestyles like Buddha, gays, stoners, drunks, druggies, and says they are fine but in reality they are hateful towards good. They never want to change to good always want to continue in evil. Andy gets soo mad and yells a at his mom. Hateful but weird how he tries to hide it with all the crap. Don’t fool me. THIS is what SKATEBOARDING means. Be free, feel the moment, let your body and your soul express themselves through your board rolling down the streets. Some skaters tend to forget the essence of our passion, so thanks for the reminder.

      I havent skated since I was 16. I am 42 now. Just picked up a board 2 weeks ago, bought one for my son and daughter as well. It's like a flood of love coming back in my life, I forgot the excitement in breathing and flowing with the invisible currents. I started when I was 6, never real "hardcore" with the tricks, I could do some but I just loved to ride. Messed up kid, broken infectious homelife, not with the program. But I was absolutely ok on my skateboard. I am very happy and grateful to have this again, whatever it may be. Great video, Andy seems like a real free spirit, A kind radical.
