Awesome video once again Lucas, Jomtien Beach is where I stay when visiting Pattaya and it looks like a lot of building and restoration work has gone on since my last visit in February 2020. I love the widening of the beach and hope they replant the missing trees. Thanks for sharing and bringing back good memories, this damn Covid-19 has really hit hard for a lot of people and knocked 2 years out of everybody's life, stay safe Lucas.
That jogging track will be made from recycled tires. Great for walking or jogging on. Had no issues with Thai pass, within 6 hours we were on our way. If you have all the paperwork no issues. Thanks for today’s vid. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
Amazing how reluctant some people are who live in Pattaya are to go down to Jomtien. It's only about a 12 minute ride on a baht bus ! That little spinner at the coffee shop will certainly get some "likes" ! Wowser !
Yes Lucas looks great. I was speaking to a guy who just got back from Thailand at a bus stop this morning. He said what a headache it all was going to Thailand now compared to what it was. He said its like they didn't want tourists there, that was his words. Your mate may have been lucky, but lots of people are having a negative twist when visiting Thailand at the moment. Be careful.
Yes a mate of mine and his thai girlfriend went back to koh chang from the uk. Tested okay but both got covid on koh chang. Luckily all okay now, but both had to do 10 days in a hospital on island. Good for him he lost 7 /8 kilos in hospital !!! He said the food was awful so he only ate fruit...Result.
Perhaps some people are not adequately prepared to visit, and blame others for their failure to plan ahead. The 5 P’s : Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. 👍
Yes! Traveling to Thailand is a challenge and a huge risk just now! The virus is being down played by the government due to the economic situation here now. Cost of living has risen.
i went over for a few weeks in January, getting everything organised was a little bit of a pain, but i used an agency called Royal vacation and they handled everything brilliantly, actually arriving in Thailand was a doddle, much easier than i expected and it was the fastest immigration check that i ever experienced
I recommend staying in Jomtien than in Pattaya as it's much quieter... I mean, if you just look for a little walk, a beer and some pool, Jomtien is enough... And if you want something more, Pattaya is right behind the corner....
Nice, I really value the opinions of people who have not been here for a while, I see the changes as they happen but when you come back after many years, you get them all at once and I think that is a cool perspective. 👍🙏
Interesting to see the progress on the beach renewal. I live Chon Buri city so don't get down that way often. You are correct in saying that area at Summer house cafe was not beach at all just sea wall then water at high tide. Always wondered as there are many high end condo units, and hotels down that area so now they have nice be beach area.
Just landed and my experience at the airport was a bit different than your friends- miscommunication and lack of their own rules and what is required still amazing me however what we have seen so far is amazing , cleaner for sure and lots of new buildings and construction however most of that was through the windows of my taxi. We are in quarantine until days end.
I don’t like these new wide beaches, the sea is now so far away from the deck chairs you can no longer hear the relaxing waves. Why did they have to make them so wide.
It looks amazing - hopefully, they will take it all the way down to Blue Sky Beachfront Bar & Restaurant and beyond! Hopefully, they will use industrial beach cleaning machines overnight to continuously clean and soften the sand. At least a few nights a week.

The infrastructure investments in that area are impressive, kudos to the local and central governments! V has an amazingly good heart, the way she’s always looking out for strays is very heartwarming, she’s a wonderful person! 🥰

Expanded the beach, but any plans to widen the road from the police box south where it's barely 2 lanes wide? Yah, I know, why ask such practical questions... lol... The jury is out on the beach until flood season and how it 'weathers' it... lol.. One thing about Jomtien, they do a good job with night lighting there... Off times see many Thai families, enjoying the beach at night...
Just booked my airline tickets to come to Pattaya in mid May.....It will be over 2 years and 4 months since the last time I was in Thailand....I may do a side trip to Cambodia since they have lifted further restrictions....Thanks for keeping me up to date....I enjoy your vlogs.....
A couple of questions for your friend from Houston. I'm from Houston to. Is he vaccinated? Did he layover in Dubai and did he get tested for covid there? Was there a quarantine at any part of his trip?
You can't get a Thailand pass without being vaccinated. and show proof of it. I'm here in Phuket. flew in a little over a month ago. so I'm 'boots on the ground' positive of that. ( get vaccinated, wear your seat belt, brush your teeth and look both ways before crossing the street) easy peasy

One thing we in america see. Our homes are gaining value. That can't be said as for same for property in thailand. My home has gained $130,000US in the past 5 years from the time I got it and will continue to gain value this year.
You mean except after 2006 when home values plummeted 50% in the US. All it takes is a recession and down goes everyones home values and then people will start defaulting on their mortgages like in 2006 and 2007. If you keep the house long enough it will always be worth it. Best to look at real estate in terms of 10 years at a time. If gas prices and inflation don't go down we're headed for another recession. With all the overprinting of money and the government not caring I see it likely to happen.
@@stayfree6115 my mortgage is $385.00 a month and that includes property taxes and home owners insurance. It's a 30 year mortgage at 2.75 fixed interest rate. The property tax itself is around $575.00 per year.
