I honestly don't think it is something he does. Just because I myself hit pretty hard and have a simple Evans snare head on mine. Hitting a snare head like a marching band snare, is actually not good for hard hitting because the tension is way higher than a regular snare used in just an average gig. It would end up killing your wrists tbh lol
Kevin is the heart of TAS. The videos with the sub in drummer are meh. Also nice to see the guitar players playing this in the proper tuning finally instead of on 6 strings tuned up from the recording. Lastly that breakdown in send help is absolutely fucking disgusting. I love it.
