The photos on the OnePlus 11 here seem to be gorgeous when you get a steady shot - far surpassing the iPhone 14 Pro's. However, the iPhone has video quality far superior to what I'm seeing on the OP here. The OP11's video looks oversharpened, jaggy and slow whereas the iPhone's looks much more fluid and stable. Of particular note is when panning, or when something fast-moving is going across the shot, I can make out details (like words) in MANY more frames on the iPhone videos compared to the OP11, which means if one is, say, trying to record a billboard on a passing bus, or a bird flying close by, or to get a quick video capture of a shop whilst walking, there's a good chance it may come out too blurry to use. And TBH this seems to tie in with the steadiness requirement. It's almost like iPhone's cameras are just FASTER than the OP11's, and that ultimately makes "phone" shots more reliable and smooth on the iPhone, whereas OP's is more what one might expect if they had a more advanced camera sitting on a tripod. Of note, this video th-cam.com/video/7quUuiCebTg/w-d-xo.html highlighted some issues with lens flares on their OP 11. I re-watched this video to see if you were having this issue, but yours seems to be unaffected. If you're noticing this problem as well, though, please update. Overall my opinion (based on videos I've watched) is that the OnePlus 11 takes better photos than the iPhone 14 Pro if stabilized, but the iPhone is superbly better for video. Maybe OnePlus will release some updates that can fix some of the lag/stabilization issues, and it will compete. But having to wait and pray that a software update fixes something like this makes it hard to justify buying it in the first place.
I don't really think the ultra wide should even be considered an issue. To each his own, but fish eye distortion is not a good look in pictures or video.
If anyone actually is in to photography, you should know the iphone cameras are completely trash. Yeah they are good for snap shots. But even the OnePlus 8T has a better camera than the iPhone 14. Iphone is a scam.
Thank You for the details, I guess the color is overall better in onePlus because of HasselBlad Collab but sadly the software can't keep up for processing asPixel 7 does. Pretty positive next oneplus phone's camera will be great.
Well I totally disagree. 1+ 11 takes much better pictures than Pixel7 from my own experience. View Ben's review on TH-cam, it's not even close. Pixel7 colors are unatural (cold tone). No idea why it's praised so much and I don't even talk about the garbage level microphone that seems to be located behind a curtain (muffed sound).

People gotta accept the facts that OnePlus is better than IPhone, even tho not everything, but there's TONS of things that it's better at (better price with good quality too) and I play a lot of games on my phone, and I hate IPhone cuz it gets heated so easily, while OnePlus last better and longer. And I feel like OnePlus has better protection too, I drop IPhone for few times and the screen is crack so easily
which has better camera overall one plus11 or s23+? especially the front facing cam. i have the mate50pro the rear cameras are good but the front facing cam is just not what i expected. so wanting to replace it. the only thing that i care between s23 and OP11 is their charging speeds

No it is not. Personal preference is what makes the camera good. I can take better pictures with OP9 Pro than 95% with iPhone 14 Pro Max. Why? Because pixels and such arent what makes the camera good but the photographer and how you use your tools.
