Psychologist and special educator Dr Marcia Braden presents an extensive discussion on what lies behind the unique learning style associated with Fragile X syndrome. Marcia discusses the accommodations that will work around the challenges and harness the strengths of a child or adult living with Fragile X syndrome, for a range of learning environments - in the home, school, workplace setting or in the community.
This webinar provides the basis for a followup webinar. In Part 2 Marcia will showcase strategies that utilize learning strengths in the classroom, the community and in job settings. She'll provide videos of successful school and work placements that match learning style to tasks and jobs, with examples of ways individuals continue to learn throughout their lives.
