    Please when you say these conditions are associated to the respective HLA, is it that there is a mutation in these HLA that is causing these conditions or what . Please 🙏🏾 help answer. Thank you

      it is a very good question!
      let me try to explain. lets take HLAB27 as example!
      as i told HLA is a system. which during development , there can be thousands of variations in the HLA genes A B C D and so on
      one such variation is HLA B27 ( note that this is not a MUTATION!, just another normal variation..
      its found that people with this variation i.e HLAB27, have very high risk of developing ankylosing spondylitis.
      it DOES NOT mean , that all individuals with HLA B27 will develop ankylosing spondylitis.. there can be absolutely normal individuals too..
      hope this clarifies
      a. It is NOT a mutation
      b. not everyone with that HLA will develop a particular disease, with which it is associated
