    You can can sense the power.
    I've been riding since I was 16 and am now 68 so I know.
    Love the build. 🙏🇦🇺

      It would be VERY easy to get into trouble on this one.

      It lit the tyre up ALOT during the test ride 🤫🤫🤫 Just want to be careful with how much 'Fun' I post.

    Did customer supply clutch upgrade .. I run a CR480 in my 114. The hot arms here in USA right now are Star racing.

    Hey there Mr. Miller..Much respect and appreciation..thank you for sharing your knowledge and know how with all of us. My question is the difference between the roller rockers and standard rocker arms..it changes the lift of the cam correct? Could you do a video going into detail on this? Also screaming eagle makes adjustable rocker arms with the idea that the exhaust valve tip wares faster than the intake so you could adjust lash every 25-50k miles without replacing worn valves etc..part# 17300069 and 70..last of all pushrods- how to get better oiling up top. Some adjustable pushrods are more rigid than others and some have a bigger hole to move more oil up. What do you suggest? Is there a sweet setup you recomend? Thanks again..take care and stay safe!!

    • @MasterTechMiller
      @MasterTechMiller  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome question mate.
      Ok so there is 2 types of roller rockers. Stock ratio & a more aggressive ratio. When using the stock ratio nothing changes with the lift. The roller rockers air in reducing side loading on the valve stem when using high lift cams.
      The bigger ratio roller rockers increase the lift if the cam & you have to be careful with piston to valve clearances.
      The adjustable rocker arms are good in the sense you can precisely set the opening of both valves. That's about it, the Hydraulic lifters take care of the clearances.

      I really like the Screamin Eagle adjustable pushrods. They are very strong & have a big oil passage to get lots of oil up the top.
      S&S make a good option too but I prefer the Screamin Eagle option.

    Hi Miller, I'd really like to research these gold and blue S&S pistons, howeever I can't find their existence anywhere on the internet, it's not on the S&S website, can you point me to these gold and blues? Thanks

      These ones were coated by another company. The customer organised it. It was a company called competition Coatings in Brisbane Australia

    so we will see what this 131 will do with 12.1 comp. you should really check out

    I have been highly considering the ss stroker kit. Great number to see here. Was it the cycle Rama 515 can you pair with this? I have a feeling I will require a flywheel by the time my build happens. Would you recommend this way over a 131?

    • @MasterTechMiller
      @MasterTechMiller  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes this combo has the CR515 Camshaft.
      Going the 128ci was the customers choice as he had already purchased the all the parts.
      I would personally go with a 131ci over a 128ci

  • @maranganii
    @maranganii 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    yo doc miller, presumably both kits use the same stock crank setup, so where is the extra stroke coming from for the 128 kit, considering the pistons/bore is the same diameter?

    • @MasterTechMiller
      @MasterTechMiller  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The compression height of the piston is the difference. Where the gudgeon pin is set.

      @@MasterTechMiller ah I'm an idiot, displacement is measured at the bottom of the piston stroke, of course. sorry.

      Thanks Tommy appreciate that. As mention I’ve got a stage 2 fat bob with s&s 475 and dynoyed with good numbers. But first and Semco d gear at low revs it’s a bit twitchy. Any thoughts?? Love you videos probably my favourite skilled tech to watch 👍🏻

    Why is the sns so strict on runout with a chain drive?

    • @MasterTechMiller
      @MasterTechMiller  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Because the brass bushing on the pinion shaft is only.pressed into place with nothing to stop it rotating if it catches/wears out (which they do).
      When that happens, the brass bushing rotates & blocks off the oil feed to the crank big end bearings.
      The SE plate runs a brass bushing that is knurled into place eliminating the possibility of rotation

    • @michaelmitchell5909
      @michaelmitchell5909 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @MasterTechMiller thank you for the detailed explanation. I really appreciate that. So is my 04 s.e. cam plate with the bearings not brass bushings is slightly better?. Can you replace the brass bushings?. Also is the fueling oe cam plate the same way?....needs a minimum runout also.

    • @MasterTechMiller
      @MasterTechMiller  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @michaelmitchell5909 I'm not sure about the early SE cam plates for the Twin Cams.
      You can replace the brass bushings in these M8 SE cam plates.
      The Fueling plates run a plane bearing (no bushing) just relies on oil for lubricantstion like the OEM Cam plate.

    Very surprised that you did not check / measure piston height in cylinder before putting on the heads so you actually understood the final comp ratio. Not really good engine building practice, just saying.
