I was scratching my head as to why my display said it was a 550d. Now I know. Lol. Somebody before me was screwing with the display menu while playing with the coding feature. It only gives me the left and right electronic module for options. Do you know how to do this? I go to expert mode but can’t read German. Help me out homie!
Great video! Any suggestion on how to disable bluetooth audio off when you exit the car with key fob? For context, the car is running a nd when you exit car with keyfob and Bluetooth audio will stop playing until you return back to car. I want it so the BT audio will play wether keyfob is outside of car or not.

If your menu in the idrive allows for change of color then you should be able to in expert mode for sure. I assume all the colors of the spectrum are available.

Great video and I learn a lot watching you. I had carplay and video-in-motion through a third party. But BimmerCode will not allow me to go into my head Unit to make changes, therefore, how can I get this change to make changes in my head unit. I can get into all the other settings except that one.

Was hoping for a little help with the x series specificity x7 and x5 with the ambient lighting that have the sky lites I’ve found out originally on the 2019 x7 if you are using bummer code specifically with a iPhone which may be the issue when I see you using a iPad which is closer to a laptop that a iPhone ? Maybe? But I had lost my sky lites one time while coding other things I haven’t messed with colors ever the first few time a back up brought it back when I changed iPhones and the plug in adaptor the original back ups are gone and I was lucky to be under warranty and was fixed free now with the x5 I found out if you code shut off ambient lighting before coding I never lost any section but once again I forgot and lost foot light and the lights by the crystal shift knob and the drive wheel the one strip on left and right side . Also on the x7 a drive three touchless car wash had lost two sections so I always try to shut down coding and in car wash last time they had the z7 for 2 weeks had hole roof out first year car was made so a month to get parts dvsdytimd. Any way my question the lights I lost by feet in front and the lights in the middle on both sides of the shaft and I drive wheel any clue which layer that is or layers was hoping you knew instead of going three all layers changing the ones that have different boxes checked. ? Are my old back ups in my old cloud if I moved or changed iPhone coding and stuff I'm good but computers don't even own one last computer was 1995 bro so any way to find old back up suggestions would be appreciated too I had a friend laugh when he saw you talking and smoking he seared I'm the white version of you and your my black version of me. Some buy cars and ship them over seas and make 5" grand a car I would if I had the cash but I'm happy trading in my old car which the x7 50i I paid 6( k with 1k miles on kept it till bumper to bumper warranty expired and got a x5 m with original sticker 110 k for 52 k . Its the hook up of hook ups until they update the Lemmon law your crazy not to check it out let me know it sounds to good but it's a home run no brainer . great video, thank you! I do have one request: Can you show how to dim the angel eyes? I have a 2017 BMW 540i G30 and it had a broken angel eye on one side. Luckily, it was still under warranty and the dealership replaced the entire headlamp assembly! It would have been over $4,000 for parts and labor! They said the angel eye light module burned out. I'm thinking that if I could dim the angel eyes, it would last longer. So, if you can find how to dim angel eyes, I'd really appreciate it! thanks!
I had to replace one of my laser headlights. Luckily the insurance company gave me like $5000 for the light alone. I found it though for like under $1000. You should see the angel eye brightness in the regular menu of bimmercode. You probably want to lower them both to the exact same as oppose to trying to dim just one.

Cant add carplay without the subscription. If you use a service to crack the car play you will not be able to access the headunit from Bimmercode afterwards.

I have a 17 740i & I'm getting a message with the Veekpeak OBD tool saying, "This control unit is not accessible with the used OBD adapter." It says this for Advance crash & safety & Body Domain Controller. What do I need or how do I change settings to get into these modules and others that may be blocked?
Yea Veekpeek dont have all the access. You need atleast an MX version of the adapter to have full access to all the modules. Any word on if the headlights can be coded for the variable light beam and the no dazzle high beams? Some say it can be coded and others say we are all missing the hardware. I wasn't sure what your thoughts were on this?
Very helpful video. I have a 2016 750i and I coded the turn signals show in HUD as you showed in the video but it didn’t work. It shows active in BimmerCode but it doesn’t blink in the HUD. Also, how do I change the soft touch turn signal to blink more than 3 times? Thanks
I set my 740i to display up to 200 mph. I did not backup before. Now I'm try to to revert to having it show 160 mph max. I cant find a way to do so, do you know how? Thanks in advance
Go to backups. U don’t have to back up because it does it auto before u Even enter the menu. Use one of the backups listed even it’s only one. That will be your most recent or only backup but it will do the trick.
Hey man, amazing video! I need some help with removing the annoying "emergency call system not available" from the instrument cluster since it's imposibile to reset and blocking the odometer, compass and fuel economy readings. Please let me know how to code this out, it's driving me crazy!
The cause is battery failure, the battery is in the headliner near the antenna. I will find you the codes to code it out for bimmercode. I only have the esys code. But if you get the battery replaced it will actually work as oppose to disabling it.
Brake force display can be done in regular mode of Im pretty sure the Body Domain Controller. There are two menus that can be configured easily there but I will make a video for expert mode.
@@myron302 yup.. i changed it to the weakest trigger point which is 5km/h and weak force but i tried it and no blinking whatsoever. I saw a video from thicc f30 that there is 1more setting in expert mode that needs to be done but i cant find that in g30 series expert mode.

I got the same MX+ adapter but it say it can’t read the head unit. ): I wanted to do full screen CarPlay. I have 2017 740i any way I can get access to the headunit setting?
@@Xanadu98 Unless you purchased the car new you dont know what the other owner did but there should be no reason you cant get into the headunit with the adapter you have. You can get in the headunit with lesser adapters. The only menu you wouldnt be able to with a cheaper adapter is the advance safety module. If you can access it then its not your adapter. But if the headunit had any programming prior Bimmercode locks you out of that module.
Plug the dongle in. Go to you bluetooth settings on your ipad. Find the dongle and connect to it. You need to have bimmercode downloaded to your ipad too. Please subscibe.
Off the top of my head I dont remember. I will check for you. In the meantime subcribe and search one of these words in the head unit expert search akustischer Fußgänger.

I’ve got one for you. I’m trying to get my 2016 F10 with PDC to behave the same way Lexus PDC does. My Lexus PDC activates when I’m 5 mph or less automatically. The 535’s PDC only activates after a start or when I remember to push the button. I’ve watched all of your videos and if there’s anyone out there who can do this with BimmerCode it’s you. Just having a tech background. At the end of the day its a computer with programming. If you can reverse engineer the feature and map it somehow to the interface logically you should be able to figure it out.

I didn’t make any changes before this. But then again I bought this car used. I have CarPlay on by default albeit split screen and not full screen. Bimmercode won’t let me in to the Headunit at all.

Hey.. i have 2020 750i xdrive. Tried to code the sport plus, xboost, and it shows in the i drive but you cant select it. Valet mode pops up when i try to code the sports plus and x boost mode. Need help. Its there but it wont select it.

Dont be afraid you can always revert to a back up and everything will be back to default.

Question re ambient lighting - can you only change colours for the bronze and bronze/white options?
You should be able to change to any color if you go in expert mode. However on the basic mode you can only switch to like 8 colors.

I have enabled the compass in the dashboard, but everytime I exit the diagnostics mode, it just disappears. Any ideas why ?

@@rickd4900 I figured it out. The only way is to get the OBD tool with the Ethernet cord attached. Worked perfect for me!
Yea Veekpeek dont have all the access. You need atleast an MX version of the adapter to have full access to all the modules. I have veepeek to but can do most of the stuff I need but can not access advanced safety features

Any word on if the headlights can be coded for the variable light beam and the no dazzle high beams? Some say it can be coded and others say we are all missing the hardware. I wasn't sure what your thoughts were on this?
Very helpful video. I have a 2016 750i and I coded the turn signals show in HUD as you showed in the video but it didn’t work. It shows active in BimmerCode but it doesn’t blink in the HUD. Also, how do I change the soft touch turn signal to blink more than 3 times? Thanks
does the car have to be on with the engine or just on with the radio and screen
@@leokai1709 No but its better to run it with the engine on so you dont kill the battery. Some module will not allow you to enter with the engine on.

I set my 740i to display up to 200 mph. I did not backup before. Now I'm try to to revert to having it show 160 mph max. I cant find a way to do so, do you know how?

Go to backups. U don’t have to back up because it does it auto before u Even enter the menu. Use one of the backups listed even it’s only one. That will be your most recent or only backup but it will do the trick.

Try holding down the button on the turn signal nob , i was having the same issue & it now went away

The cause is battery failure, the battery is in the headliner near the antenna. I will find you the codes to code it out for bimmercode. I only have the esys code. But if you get the battery replaced it will actually work as oppose to disabling it.

How to activate the Brake Force Display?
Brake force display can be done in regular mode of Im pretty sure the Body Domain Controller. There are two menus that can be configured easily there but I will make a video for expert mode.
@@myron302 yup.. i changed it to the weakest trigger point which is 5km/h and weak force but i tried it and no blinking whatsoever. I saw a video from thicc f30 that there is 1more setting in expert mode that needs to be done but i cant find that in g30 series expert mode.
There was a lot more choices in normal mode for my 2012 3series, when I upgraded my car its like half...can it do taillights led always on?
I have a video for that but depending on your tail light lay out it may not turn on but a small light on the side of the taillight.

You can not access the head unit once you've used a third party to crack apple carplay. Bimmercode will lock you out.

@@Xanadu98 Unless you purchased the car new you dont know what the other owner did but there should be no reason you cant get into the headunit with the adapter you have. You can get in the headunit with lesser adapters. The only menu you wouldnt be able to with a cheaper adapter is the advance safety module. If you can access it then its not your adapter. But if the headunit had any programming prior Bimmercode locks you out of that module.

How is the ride like in Comfort Plus? In my G30 if i switch it to Comfort Plus i feel more bumps just like in a sports mode.
Comfort plus may definitely be a more bumpier ride. As the suspension lowers and the dampening most likely changes as well.

I’ve got one for you. I’m trying to get my 2016 F10 with PDC to behave the same way Lexus PDC does. My Lexus PDC activates when I’m 5 mph or less automatically. The 535’s PDC only activates after a start or when I remember to push the button. I’ve watched all of your videos and if there’s anyone out there who can do this with BimmerCode it’s you. How do you know these things?
Just having a tech background. At the end of the day its a computer with programming. If you can reverse engineer the feature and map it somehow to the interface logically you should be able to figure it out.

I didn’t make any changes before this. But then again I bought this car used. I have CarPlay on by default albeit split screen and not full screen. Bimmercode won’t let me in to the Headunit at all.

depends on how long and how continuously. Rule of thumb run the car for every menu except BDC. Also buckle in the sead belt uses alot of battery.
Leave the car running for all menus except bdc. Buckle your seat belts too
Hey.. i have 2020 750i xdrive. Tried to code the sport plus, xboost, and it shows in the i drive but you cant select it. Valet mode pops up when i try to code the sports plus and x boost mode. Need help. Its there but it wont select it.
