honestly, genius to make a Survivors-style game using the SC2 assets and base mechanics. Depending on how easy it would be to mod, I feel like there's lots of potential for extra content and stuff, and what there already is looks awesome. I would love to see a winning run of this, or see it again if they add new factions or units to it, thanks for showing it off Grant!

Honestly, I saw the first 30 seconds of this video then went to go try it myself. This is probably my fav SC2 mod of all time. I really, really enjoy this genre of game and SC2 fits this so well. I'm very excited to see what else KrazyMouse decides to add. My wishlist: more evolutions (there were a lot of "dead" passives that didn't evolve a unit, and the Widow Mine doesn't seem to evolve), more factions (potentially also co-op factions?), and generally just some clean-up (like how you still level up when you're maxed out, as well as clarifying what the bases do). Finally, my 3 favourite units - Siege tanks, Immortals and Reapers. I like hitting hard and/or fast.
I was today years old when I found out that GGG isn't very familiar with the "Survivors" game style. Named after Vampire Survivors which was the first game to build this setup of "you have a center of mass and all your weapons autoshoot and orbit you and everything on the map just walks slowly towards you and you get all the levels in the world but every level is only minor in impact and weapons can "evolve" into more potent once if certain criteria are met. It's a thing. There's actually loads of them now. Another term I've seen used a lot is "bullet heaven" games (since, instead of bullet hell games where the enemies spam you out you are the spam)
Because i am a purist, i must correct you Vampire survivor's was not the first to create this style of game The first was actually magic survival, although the evolutions and chests do work differently between the 2, with magic having weapon+weapon fusions, picked from level up, artifacts from chests, whilst vampire is of course weapon+artifact fusions, found in chests, artifacts from levels. Still, vampire survivor's was definitely the first mainstream one, hence the spin offs mostly saying "survivor's" not "survival".
@@Santisima_Trinidad Thanks for the clarification. TBF I am only aware of the genre, I don't play them. So the fact that my limited knowledge was wrong isn't a big shock to me. (Sidenote, I don't think you need to feel bad about correcting people when they spread wrong knowledge. As long as you're not a dick about it, which you totally didn't do. Have a nice day.)
@@Santisima_Trinidadlove Magic Survival so darn much. Especially that enemies dont drop exp, the artefacts found from exploration and that you have evolution upgrades several times for each spell
Favourite units are ghost, marine, tank For anyone who feels like trying this playing this map, three tips: 1. Get 5 evolutions. You only have 10 slots for upgrades and everything can be upgraded a finite number of times. Evolutions are a big power spike and let you upgrade the unit a second time, increasing your maximum power. Once you get a feel for the upgrades, plan which evolutions you want. 2. DON'T STOP MOVING. Starting from the midgame, there are very scary telegraphed attacks that target your position. Ravagers deal a lot of damage, and fungals can chain you to death if there are 3 or so infestors. There are also a few flying units with a short-ranged attack rather than a melee one. Your units can fire on the move and your gun deals no damage relative to them, so staying on the move and not doubling back too much minimizes the chance you get hit. 3. When you finish the timer, don't leave until you see SC2's victory screen ;)
I haven't played this one before, but from what i've played in way too much vampire survivors... 1. the early exp is probably bait 2. getting overall damage and attack speed really helps 3. exp gains are probably faster if you increase pickup range over pickup amount Not sure how many of those apply to this mod since I was only half watching on level ups and such.
Favorite units: -Archon (I've always liked the concept of merging units to make a stronger one) -Viking (Terratron roll out!) and of course: The ColoSUS
Campaign units: wrathwalker, arbiter, impaler. Competitive units: viking, high templar, hydralisk. (Campaign choices higher than competitive, in terms of ranking.)
This looks so much fun! Favorite Zerg units: Roach, Mutalisk, Ultralisk.
Spectres, Stinky Ultras and Wrathwalkers There's a lot of cool potential here for this game mode, espically with different hero possibilities each with their own possible units, upgrades and maybe hero-specific upgraded units
for anyone having difficulties with this game mode, here's a build to help u out: marine marauder ghost helion goliath + each of their upgrades (for the marine, get the resocialization) u definitely need all AA available on later rounds (widow mine feels inconsistent), marauders do a great job making up for siege tanks while having a strong slow when evolved (which is literally mandatory on the very later rounds), and helions to make lings non-existant and if u're struggling against large ground enemies, an extra cheese would be to play on neon violet square LE (even without abusing the cheese it's pretty good because the center is very open)
I love Dragoons, they are the true lords of the Dance. I love Colossus, they are lesser dancers, but they can dance ontop of Dragoons. And i love Queens, because that is straight up what they are.

This one's easy, thankfully, his attack is dodgeable just by moving. Kerrigan was also kinda easy, the Zagaras were hard. As were the brutas. Update: 2 minutes. Leviathans. Lots of leviathans. There was a miniboss version before 7 minutes and now they're everywhere. They're tanky enough to get close like the brutas, and hard to kite because they cut corners. Update: 1 minute left, Kerrigan's back, and she brought her sisters! SHE HITS LIKE A TRUCK EVEN WITH 10 ARMOUR. Update: Victory! 1hp and a dream! Ok guys if you play this you NEED to pick an open map with multiple looping areas. All In Kerrigan will spawn in front of you and you need to be able to turn away from her to avoid her attacks, because if she gets 4-5 hits in you're dead. There's a lot of her. Thankfully outrunning her seems simple, my speed was 3.15 and I don't think I had any speed upgrades (if those are even a thing) Update: WAIT ITS NOT OVER
