Most of them are reused assets from Campaigns and Editor, so Author only gets my commend for masterfully blending them together. + The twists on and new unique mechanics present in them! Also, Elleix, please watch my other comments in 3 previos videos (2 for BW & Sc2 Terran ones and the latest Scion Custom Races one).
It's on my list for sure, the replays for that one are hard to get! I have a couple player submitted ones that I'm going to get to this week, expect to see them
Very true, stalkers have some of the most life/shield per cost out of any unit (zealots are better in this regard). The reason they feel like they die easier is they are armored, which means more things do bonus significant bonus damage to them. Immortal kills a zealot in 8 hits, but 4 taps a stalker even though it has more health.
Could you have unit health bars active during the game? It's really confusing to have those hidden, can't see when a unit is doing damage, or how much it does. Also having your commentary on how the units and buildings work would be super helpful. I think it's a lot of fun seeing a basic race facing the custom race, it's much easier to understand what's happening and allows us to feel the strengths and weaknesses of the race much better
When you play a normal map in the arcade you can host them with a mod. This mod is called All Races PvP and includes a ton of other races in addition to the Dragons.
I’m saying man, Protoss is my main but I can’t stand the stalker lol. I was friends with a GM toss back in the day who swore to never use stalkers. So you know it’s legit
Even if Author of Dragons didn't intend on this faction get taken as Primal Zerg faction, I have my version of how they came to be, which I already written in other video about "Dragon" faction. Might post it here once found, or try to rewrite from memory sometime later. Would appretiate, if someone found it and posted a name of the video it's in, so I could quickly repost it here! It's very likely to be in one of previos Elleix videos on Dragons.
Oh cool I would love to see someone's version of an origin story for the dragons! I'll dig around my past videos featuring this mod and see if I can find it
@@ElleixGaming Big thanks for that! From what I remember, the summary is this: Dragons are a ancient pack of Primal Zerg, that evolved so far, that they barely resemble their former selfs both in essence and in society structure. They originate from Zerus in the times of when Xel'naga discovered Amon and his Overmind; the pack decided to "hitch hike" on fleeing (good) Xel'naga vessels, that prior to fleeing landed on the surface of Zerus, which short time later crashed on [yet to be specified by me] planet, going deep underground to avoid being discovered by Amon and Zerg Swarm. They stayed hidden right up untill the end of Nova Covert Opps campaign. Although there IS a possibility, that I only thought it up only in my head and not writing it anywhere, so if you don't find it, tell me and I rewrite from memory in my previos comment here!
@@Taron_HaiTar Hi there, owner of the mod here. Creative take! The Dragon race really had nothing to do with Zerg when I designed them. I imagined them as creatures that dwelt deep below the ground and used fire to burrow, which is what made the name dragon come to mind. Before I had to join society as part of the workforce I had a campaign planned out for them. This was also the first full playable race made for SC2, so I had to use in game assets for everything.
@@wesorwell3655 I remember some time ago Elleix and someone else mentioning this fact you told me now, so I knew it beforehand. Also I knew, that you used only the editor stuff, albeit I don't remember if I knew this race to be the first one you ever created in Starcraft 2. I still think my backstory (or the summarry of it) suits the Dragons perfectly, just need a LOT more fleshing out, mainly with their new society and biology structure, which represents how far they evolved *away* from Primal Zerg into the unique interesting faction they are now, barely even resembeling Primals in all but looks! I still think most of the stuff you thought (and probably making already) of the Dragons could apply here, with it showing how *different* they are to the Primals, with some Dragon characters acknowledging their Primal Zerg roots AND their introspective on how much they *differ* from their Ancestors! Thanks for the praise(atleast it seemed to me as such)!
There is an upgrade that increases their speed and they move faster while ascended. The base razorback is intentionally very slow so you can't use it to block natural expansions with your first one.
Yeah I disagree with the rant on the Stalkers. They have better mobility to make up for their weaker bodies, using blink strategically allows them to last longer in battle, plus they're so good at harassment against opponents. Way better than the dragoons that they tried to bring back in Legacy of the Void.
Bruh I’m saying. I’ll still cover stormgate but it honestly doesn’t hit the same as StarCraft. Plus the SC Evo complete which puts SC1 and SC2 together looks way better than stormgate 💀
what do you mean the protoss player is bad the did very well in my opinion also if you pause the video at 18:48 you can see that it was the protoss player that won
Inaccurate final call: Asur left giving Cheville the victory.
Whoever designed these units and buildings is an artistic genius
Could totally pass as a fourth race

Blizzard lol
Thank you, I appreciate it!
You screwed up the ending. It was Asur who left without a gg while cheville was left as the victor. 😅
The dragons gain a special resource that they can use to "Ascend" their units.
Ah ok thanks for that clarification! Is it a resource that accumulates over time? Something like energy?
@@ElleixGaming According to the discord:
You gain it by killing and losing units, also Denizens of the Deep produce it.
I think it's called "Rage" or "Rage Essence", if I remember correctly?

@@gamesgo6724 Thanks for reminding me!
Would still like to see more of Broodwar vs SC2 matches.

make a walkthrough video of tech tree and play/figure out each races
It’s actually on my list of things to do! There are so many custom races to go over
You cast custom so much that Protoss is really the new surprise. Like what’s a protoss?
Lmao exactly! Before casting this I was like wow, when was the last time we saw Protoss? Is tHiS a neW rAcE??
these mods make blizzard look like the joke they have truly become
long bereft of creativity
Fun fact: zealots have less health than stalkers but deal more damage
Super weird to think about considering their roles in the army.
Very true, stalkers have some of the most life/shield per cost out of any unit (zealots are better in this regard). Subscribed, great commentary, reminds me of lowko
Wow I appreciate it the kind words, glad you enjoy the commentary!
I miss Husky Starcraft
Where do you get to install and play these amazing mods? Are they in the Arcade

Love this video! Thank you❤
dragon air units charging up there plasma breath is cool
It was inspired by Godzilla, as are the Brimstone Demolishers.
Stalker will never take the place of the original dragoon.
I’m saying man, Protoss is my main but I can’t stand the stalker lol. I was friends with a GM toss back in the day who swore to never use stalkers. So you know it’s legit
stalker is a cardboard guy
dragoon is a crab who can't climb stairs
that is so cool the primal zerg!

can u increase the speed of the razorback

nice to look but this is not the Zerg style, few units produced, no raids on the Mineral line, they look like zerg made of mana not by hive..

I will digress and say that blink stalkers are very strong, I just don't like the unit for no rational reason lol
@@ElleixGaming fair enough.
Cloak OP
Mod name?
SC2 All Races
name mod please?
“Dragons” you can find it by creating a melee game, select “create with mod” and type dragons in the search bar
Use SC2 All Races, that will let you play as the most current version of Dragons.
You can't cast a match without showing the damaged unit's live bar
Yeah that was on me, settings were misconfigured on this one
ah dragons mod its very fun and it has a new resource
The idea of a new resource adds a lot to the game! I need to make a video to cover the tech tree

its relly interesting i want a direct strike ok this mode xd
