Regarding the end, Ectar's base died. All the zerg buildings were white, gave Grant vision, and said "Amon's Forces" if you hovered over them, meaning they were all killed by missiles and stolen by Eminent Domain.

At the end, it’s Zag who lost all her buildings. The hatcheries are Amon’s forces and you can see the queen attacking the overseer at the end. The buildings died and were given to Grant.
Amon sending out High Templars with no storms is just pure hilarious.

tbh, with the Mod-burnout thing mentioned in a previous video, this is definitely a refreshing thing, cause while seeing you play mods is fun and getting some giggles here and there, i think having another person be around for like some interaction rather than talking to thin air is a very different feel.
and also to be really honest on some of the kinda meh mod videos, i just end up listening to them kinda like an ASMR videos, cause you do have a good voice for it.
The GGGASMR is real.
There's something very charming about opponents in an RTS game being able to banter with each other in voice chat, it's very fun.
I can't tell if you guys were kidding about battening the hatches but I just wanted to clarify for those who don't know, it refers to boarding up windows and doors in advance of a storm. A "batten" is basically another word for a board.
The banelings now have more baneling per baneling
We added banelings to your banelings inside your banelings so you'd be able to play with banelings when you are playing with banelings.

Hopefully this mod develops more in the future so you don't feel the need to intentionally hold back as Amon. I got the feel after the 1st fight that if you wanted to, you could crush the co-op side.
and as mentioned at the end, the co-op side could crush Amon with the right hero choice. It sounds very challenging to produce something in the middle that challenges both parties.
@@bluedraconem3112 I'm not sure about that. Most commanders are strong against some mutation and weak against others, which is why for high mutation chanllenges, you want to pick your commander according to the mutator. But here, the order is reversed, you can pick the mutator to counter the commanders instead.
Any swarmy commander would be countered by, for example, infest+explosion like the first game. Any elite squad(but non-heroic) commander would be countered by the one shot stuff like the brood queen (and probably infestor/DA against air). That leaves rather limited choices, and even those probably are countered by something, just not as hard.
I would say timestop is probably one of the strongest ability that have no real play around, most mutator are irrlevant when it is applied. Increasing wave frequency so that there is just so much stuff that they can't clear everything fast enough might be the best way against that, I'm not sure.
@@justanoman6497 Timestop with that one prestige that says "my shadow guard respawn on time stop" if played properly can just flat out kill amon's shard in like 25 minutes if executed correctly. Most, if not all other things can be countered.
Also, dark mirror against anyone who isn't really swarmy is an instant win because yes

I think Zerg lost their base at the end. All the Zerg buildings were named as Amon's Forces when highlighted at the end because they were handed over to Grant due to Eminent Domain.

Really cool game mode. I like that Grant lost the battle but won the war in that second game. It was microscopically close.

Grant "apologetically" destroying his friends in this first match was just pure gold
Mengsk's unit become heroic at 3 stars, so it's normal to one-shot those units. Remember Grant that you had the same problem with Wings of Mengsk and mind control.

I don't have the commander so I'm not sure, but is the heroic thing in co-op or is it just in that campaign mod?
The camaign&co-op mod for melee map doesn't have the heroic thing I think.
They don't get heroic tag at 3 stars in coop, that is only in the mod
@@justanoman6497 I don't have the commander either, I was just presuming that it works in the same way as it did in the custom campaign we saw, but I might be wrong. If anybody has insight on this, please let me know, many thanks!

Wait... on this mission, if one of the player is completely wiped out, can the remaining player solo push the objective? Single player elimination might actually be game loss on this mission if that's not an option.
Edit: To be clear, at that point he have no production building and a single drone. Not enough resource to build a hatch, which means he will have to push with the one drone if two player push is still required, and if the drone dies, the objective might be impossible to push and thus would be a game loss on the co-op commander side as they have no win con
In "real" co-op, it is impossible to push Jinara without units from both players no matter what, and single player elimination is an immediate loss for both players.

it’s a bit hard to tell, but i think it was ectar not having any more buildings that caused them to lose
But he had buildings. You only lose once you lose all buildings.
@@shadowpriest2574All of the buildings in Ectar's vision (at 44:39) were either Ace's or Amon's via Eminent Domain. Unless something broke Ectar's vision, he did lose all his buildings.

I played this once. I was playing stukov, the Amon guy bought 1 mutator, which is like "any unit that dies revives as a enemy unit" and now my infested would time out, die, and be reborn as permanent, amon controled infested. Needless to say i never played this map again
I love Asymmetric games like this, if there are any more maps like this I'd love to see them!
This was so much fun to watch, definitely interested to see other combinations and potentially some other players as well, see how they handle the insanity (or how they create it).
I enjoyed this a lot! I think the only issue I had was the open mic with one of the guests combined with the increase apm moments being so much clicking.
I don't generally enjoy RTS stuff with a scale as huge as this (actually part of why I didn't like Eyesir or Purifiers as much) but this was still enjoyable to watch for variety, and I'm hyped to keep getting different arcade stuff and other cool things. Since you have access to plenty of people for it like your twitch viewers or even as a group of mod makers it might be funny to see some of the high player counter arcade maps like the mafia style ones, survivals, or similar stuff, or maybe even something like mod makers vs viewers?
I love this arcade, it's definitly one of the more fun to play with friends!
There's some custom mutations that are really cool. I just wished there were more maps.
For anyone wanting to try, just do not use the mutation "dark mirror"... It is completly bugged unfortunatly.

Playing as Amon sounds really cool. Setting up Void Shards to extract Void Essence in order to get mutators is a really fun idea. I would love to see more of this mod if possible, maybe get Jay involved to see how he thinks about this mod.

Great start to the variety streams! I can't wait to see what other content you come up with.
I wanted Grant to try some more non-StarCraft things before the summer, but have to admit that this was a lot of fun to watch. It's nice to see him have someone to talk with (and not just to), at least from time to time. Especially when they're on opposing sides.
I have a great idea for the strategy regarding fighting amon in this mod specifically: the final nova mastery, where she can super cloak. Use it and target the production. It's basically super hard to stop you and you force a ton of micro out of the opponent to try to counter.
Grant having fun is always a good watch. This custom game mode looks hella neat too!

the supreme commander mutator should also make enemy units think that mountains are fields.

Don't hate on the blimps. They have a very wide detection radius and you want to build them regardless. Keep 2 or 3 of them with your army and leapfrog them forward.

You crippled yourself there with the even ground modifier, but if you did the hardened shield ability on top of that (where your heroic units take 10 damage max unless enemy heroic units are nearby) you would have decimated the effectiveness of the scourge and banelings

I don't mind some videos like this. This one seems pretty good! Another arcade game you could play alone or with other people is "Nexus Co-op" from what me and one of my friends gathered playing it, it's one of those Chinese "You have crazy good stuff but so does the opponent" or I assume the opponent is hard, we played on an easy difficulty. Not sure if you played it before, I couldn't find any videos on this channel about it.

Could we perhaps get some kind of modder FFA showdown? Not in the starcraft versus way, but in a tier list kind of way.
There would be multiple brackets and groups where the modders will vote on which mod they like the most out of a selection of mods perhaps you could include some other people like yourself
and jayborino in the voting.
The winning mods will advance to the next round, the losing mods will be out of the modder FFA tournament. The winning mod will be crowned 'the best campaign related mod' and the modmaker who made it gets all the glory.
Modmakers probably wont be able to vote for their own mods, though it depends on how biased you think the voting could be. In the cases of mods made by multiple people... idk

Zagara lost all Strucures in the end, so it was a Grant vic, does'nt looked like she lost all but because everything was Grant's stuff, they were making infinite queens
Second one is a Friends win, because now coop should count as lose if someone doesnt have any main bases, it were at some point i think, but now its about fully elliminating stuctures!

Jup Queens using Spawn Broodlings on Shock Devisions and Blackhammers is extremely broken. I think level 3 units are immune but its still expensive as frick to loose half your Royal Guard to them xD

Spawn broodlings: yes, it's busted, but for some reason the Amon AI only uses them on regular siege tanks and no other unit.

we need an SC2 custom campaign where you select 5 different units and they combine into some kind of Exodia.
I'm a little late on this, as others have said all of Zagara's structures were white and labeled as Amon's at the end, but I'm not sure if eminent domain broke it or not, because both Zagara and Amon used purple for their forces, making it a little difficult to tell exactly what's going on at the end there, some structures had definitely been taken over though

I do enjoy that this map allows you to kill jinara, but what incentive do the good guys have to win then? Maybe both units should be jinara to level the playing field

My guess is that Eminent Domain messed up things. Somehow loosing a ED captured building triggerd the failure condition.
