Never heard Zeter! I’ve had a growing interest in BadBoy. The Summit line catches my attention as well. Kubota, became a dealbreaker with that rocker pedal…. Great review
I am retired, with 4.25 acres to mow & do various chores. About 2 acres are "yard" (short grass, mowed regularly) & 2.25 acres are field, requiring "brush-hogging". I WAS in the market for a JD 2025R, but after researching a bit, I am turned off of it due to the "negatives" I have heard of told by other owners & the news of the loss of American jobs/DEI BS (also the JD's poor performance numbers when stacked against its competitors). My brother-in-law had a Yanmar small tractor about 20 yrs ago & it was a reliable performer for its capabilities & had some neat features for the time. But right now, before I "pull the trigger" & buy a tractor, I am researching them hard as I can, to make an informed decision & spend my meager funds. Hadn't heard of the Zetor & even the Bad Boy is relatively new to me. But I am leaning towards the Summit for its price, features & availability as well as the reputation of its prime mover Mitsubishi. Just my $0.02. Thanks for the video & information, Tractor Bob's!
@@pr0xb0ct "Value" is a subjective proposition. The Yanmar DOESN'T have any more standard features than the Summit but higher in price (significantly so) when equipped with the same features as the Summit. The ONLY thing I found of any significance between the two, is that the Yanmar is a more "established" company than the Summit, but all of them started out at some time so time will tell if that is a valid concern.
@@pr0xb0ct Did, but the Yanmar fell short, as the addition of the options to make it the same or similar to the Summit drives its price well above the Summit. IMHO.
I really like the Yanmar. I just wish it used a skid steer quick attachment on the front instead of the proprietary quick release. It gives a lot more options for front buckets, grapples, etc.
Just bought a yanmar 325. It did NOT come standard with rear hydrolics. Dunno if it was just my dealer orvwhat but they wanted an extra grand to have one installed
I would confirm with your dealer that they gave you a price that was less than if you would have had the rear hydraulics. Yanmar was shipping them out without the hydraulics for a while because they were having problems getting the hydraulic kits in. The ones that are being shipped out now pretty much all have the hydraulics equipped.
What would the MSRP of the Bad Boy be with an added backhoe? Is it less than the Zetor? I appreciate these helpful comparisons you do with this channel 👍
This is a pretty good list but idk about the summit brand being in a top list , TYM or RK could easily take that spot , I ended up with the T25 its a nice machine for me !
I own a badboy 1025 service at my dealership sucks it’s been down for 2 weeks for the starter they can’t get I have just 50 hours on it not my first issue I wish they would just take it back so I can move on
I used my bad boy zero turn like a tractor cutting 6 to 8 foot tall stuff down and 2 in diameter stuff. So I I buy a badboy tractor I guess 🤔 I can start swamp logging. Bad Boy all the way for me and I am a really ruff on everything I touch and bad boy hasn't gave me a lick of trouble. Ps I haven even sharpener blade . I figured I would of mess it up by now but nope still going.
I bought BB 1025H with backhoe & love it, I’ve been digging stumps and so far I’ve dug up 12 stumps & no problem, they average 3’ to 4.5’ diameter, I was gonna go with Deere but they are moving so I moved on
Not one of those tractors are a subcompact. They are all the smallest model of the compacts but not a subcompact, like the Deere 1025R and Kubota bx. I don't know how you blew that.
*Yanmar is a great tractor with good value. Kubota is also a great tractor, but Kioti is better and cheaper and is eating their lunch. JOHN DEERE is under boycott for their disrespect of their customer Right to Repair issue. The rest are ALL JUNK PERIOD. You need a redo, try some great tractors instead like KIOTI, TYM and RK.*
I find it interesting that you have Bad Boy on this list, Bad Boy white labels TYM tractors, TYM makes their own TYM models, Bad Boy, RK tractors, some models of Mahindra, the Cabela's tractors when they offered them, the McCormick's From England, I believe you made a mistake by not including the actual manufacturer, but a single example of who they White label for. Also, on the list is the entire Branson product line that they acquired and are turning out both product lines.
Better, your Top 5. Who makes the Zetor? TYM? The Bad Boy is Branson, right? The Summit is Solis or International Tractors Limited, right? This is a poor list. People do your homework and don't take videos like this with a grain of salt.
Of all the John Deere tractors you pick a 2025r?? Which is basically a 1025r with bigger tires, literally uses the same loader and all. Save yourself the money and get a 1025r or if you need more get the 2032r . Brands like bad boy and summit seem to getting traction but the thing that worries me about brands like that is parts and service availability, brands like rural king and cub cadet that were fairly popular and go out of business. A few years ago I was looking at compact cub cadet that was very well maintained but I found out they stopped making compact tractors a while ago and parts were getting hard to get.
The bad boy 1 2 and 3 series are too small for big drivers. I sat on all 4 models and couldnt fit in any but the 4 series. Im not even that big. I love bad boy products, though.
Really?.. No New Holland? Case?? Most of your tested brands are some R.K. junk.. As a farmer for the last 30yrs.. I can tell everyone..these aren't farm tractors, they are Big garden tractors.. anything under 60hp that only uses a Cat.1 3pt. hitch.
Technically these tractors are all right on the edge of being between compact and subcompact. However all the tractors in this video are in very similar categories with similar lifting specifications. There is not a hard line where a tractor goes from subcompact to compact (although typically tractors that are 30hp and above are considered compact and tractors under 30hp are often referred to as subcompact.
I typed the word confused into tenor.com and the first picture was of Joe Biden looking confused. Gotta admit, It’s a perfect face to express confusion. It’s not meant to be political. ❤

Done with Deere. I was looking to get a Deere then they ended the jobs of Americans you know our neighbors. They shifted production to Mexico.
It sucks.! Damn JD.! 🤔
@@RobertPiec-k6j Don't forget about their DEI program that is STILL going on.

Besides the extra cost for green paint. LOL
Thought about a John Deere then remembered I may want to repair it myself one day so I passed.

Aint no way i would pay $25k for a deere or kubota sub 20hp tractor. They are off their rocker.
Never heard Zeter! I’ve had a growing interest in BadBoy. The Summit line catches my attention as well. Kubota, became a dealbreaker with that rocker pedal…. Great review
They’re all nice tractors but Kubota is the best if you’re looking for quality and reliability.
Where’s the LS or TYM models ??
