    Don't fall in the trap "highest salaries in Europe". It's indeed true but that also means that the cost of life is extremely expensive.
    I moved from France to Luxembourg in July 2021 and so far the only negative point is rent. It's extremely expensive, if you want to live close to the city, count 1300€ minimum for a tiny studio, more in city center, with most landlords asking you to win 3x the rent, so 3900€ minimum, and there is a bad shortage of housing here, finding something is extremely difficult.
    Salaries get increased once in a while to follow inflation, but the landlords will usually increase the price of rent by like 100€ when this happens, while if you win minimum wage or slightly more than minimum wage, your salary will increase by like 50€ in the first place. It's just insane.

      No the law project is in the works. If I remember correctly, they predict to bring the project to the Chamber by the end of this year. It will allow up to 4 plants per household.
      And it is not decriminalised, it will be when this law comes into place. Although decriminalised, again as I remember, means a €25 fine if you are found to be in possession of up to 3g. Above 3g will still be "proces-verbal" aka not decriminalised, your case goes to procecutor office and depends how the judge is feeling.

      As a Luxembourgish citizen myself, I must say that I'm actually very proud we have such a high amount of immigration in the country. It keeps the country running (Luxembourg would never be as successful as it is without the workforce from it's neighbors and international people. They also contribute to the cultural aspect, and Luxembourg has become very international (not only neighboring countries) over the last 20+ years.
      It's actually a reason to be proud and embrace how it is. Our traditions will always be preserved in some way :)
      With the finite landmass and population increase, the rent and real estate prices are going through the roof at the moment. No chance for some people to ever own anything.

    From this man's Facebook page it looks like he is based in Lahore, Pakistan and NOT Luxembourg!!!
    To obtain a Luxembourg passport it's NOT about 5 years' residence but also successfully passing the Sproochentest or Luxembourgish Language Test. This is neither basic nor easy. Important - India/Pakistan does not allow dual nationality. Applicants MUST have 5 continuous years of residence - why are you giving out erroneous information on your channel?
    This is not correct. Luxembourg is international but most of this is actually pan-European.

    • @desfefe
      @desfefe ปีที่แล้ว

      No you don't need 5 continuous years without exit. Although the majority of a year (so basically working there for most of the times), need to be in Lux. And however, in your final year, that is when it needs to be a full year that is continuously lived in Lux.
      Well, the pathway to citizenship is basically similar to any other european country, except it is much smaller, making the final year to gain that PR painful. And the most complicated stuff would be to also pass the Luxembourgish exam.
      Only worth it IMO if you can speak French really well, and also if you can eventually pick up Luxembourgish, and you really have no better option. Otherwise I would rather spend my years in the Netherlands or Germany. Ideally, Australia is a better destination and the most immigrant friendly at this current point in time along with Canada.

    What is a good average salary for a good cost of living? Meaning being able to save money and not spend everything in rent. And last question is it true the transport is free for residents?

      Check online average luxembourgish salary... I think it gives a good and precise idea of what to do. Yes, transportation is free for anyone not just residents
