This was SUCH a nice day in Luxembourg City 🇱🇺 Watch our other European City Adventures: Amsterdam 🇳🇱 th-cam.com/video/8yN5mRj3FOo/w-d-xo.html Brussels 🇧🇪 th-cam.com/video/8M16sMgA-XA/w-d-xo.html
In all country that I visit around the world, Luxembourg , Switzerland, Japan are the best and most cleanliness Nation on earth ,the peoples are great don’t worry if expensive the foods,Hotel,if you can not afford don’t mistake to go there.
Mmm my word. This place is so nice. Yes, quiet, clean. Love the buildings. Added this to my bucket / wish list for next year. Thank you. I have learned so much from your adventures
What a beautiful laid-back video from tiny, clean Luxemburg. Love your take on it, the rhythm of the video, your happy and positive outlook on things - and what I learned about (one of?) the world's smallest countries! Thank you ☺
I love love love your last two videos (Belgium and Luxembourg- places I have yet to visit). Europe is just so beautiful. Your videos are almost looking like the ones shown on the travel channel! Keep up the good work and thank you for taking us on your tours.
Hello both of you. First of all, I would like to congratulate you for your videos; you are funny, smiling, not criticizing everything and polite! Now as a Luxemburger I have to say that there is so much more to add to your video (maybe next time;also in the rest of the small country) Then little detail:the Palace is not the Grand Duc’s Residence; there he receives Ambassadors,Prime Ministers and other Kings and “important persons”…He and his family live in their Castle in Colmar Berg. P.S.I love the dishes you tried
Thank you!! Oh that’s so interesting - thank you for sharing that (there seems to be mixed answers online!) 👀👀🤗 They were soooooo delicious (but perhaps enough to feel a couple more people lol!) 🤗🤗
Brits and Americans often complain Luxembourg is too quiet. At weekends especially, the reason is the crowds start coming out at about eleven o'clock. In Clausen, a bar/restaurant/club area there are long queues for car parking at midnight. Weekends the free buses run until three in morning.
Wait just a minute this dish is made from Neck of pork which is salted then smoked is what gives the "' Fish" its smoky smell ! roughly around 7:50 to 8:00 What were you drinking Dylan ?
Very nice, I would love to explore out that way. I have family in Germany my last name is German it’s looks so amazing. I always look forward to your videos.
Guys you will agree with me in that: people should stop calling Luxemburg "the richest Country on the world" !other wise EVERYBODY will end doing all they can to live there, and we know what will happen! this beautiful place can be destroyed. So stop saying that and be like Luxemburg: discret, elegant and friendly. Thanks guys !!!
Free transport around the city you don’t get that in other countries this is very beautiful city I hope your looking after Adriana Dylan as good oh usually do 👍
Given the sights, I expected the Grand Duke's soldiers to be wearing armor and chainmail. It really is like stepping back in time... only without the cholera and plagues.
So expensive city/country in spite of free charge of transportation. The price you paid for the meal was too high (54 Euro) BTW. I wasn't expecting it at all😅; however, when considering viewing the breathtaking scenes, capturing incredible memories, I would say it was totally worth;)
Fascinating, I've never been to Luxembourg but the architecture is so strange. To me it feels like a lot of German architecture although the buildings also look a bit like some British ones, they are more square and a bit thinner. Some parts of Danish architecture are similar and I've seen some buildings in Sweden that look like them. I loved the meal you ate, that vegetarian one looked amazing, I love cauliflower. By the way were the other bits something like Knoedel in Germany? It even had a similar name. I also loved the large beans (the name is German too) although I don't eat Pork. I can see the strong Dutch influence in the written language, so much like Dutch/German mix but more Dutch. By the way Adriana sometimes when you speak your inflections sound a little Irish, did you ever spend time there? Oh and Dylan, you don't sound very Welsh at all, I used to live in Cardiff for 3 years.
Ah yes you’re right, I think there’s a lot of influence across the neighbouring countries - and many of the meals have slightly differing names and variants across the various areas! Aha I’ve actually never even been to Ireland! I think it’s just a mixture of accents and it comes out like that - I’m fully Swedish 😅 meanwhile Dylan is from north wales, the accent is more representative of that area! 😍
Luxembourgish is interesting, It's a variant of the Mosel-Franconian dialect of neighboring Germany, with some French downloads "as such" e.g. merci, pardon) and some "germanized" French words (e.g. fëmmen for "to smoke" from French fumer, or pompjee for "fireman" from French pompier).
You would think the richest country in the world would be Kuwait or Dubai maybe even the United States, honestly only recently I’ve heard of Luxembourg
Thanks for adding the prices now 😂 not sure about the 54 euros though….spending 5 weeks in Asia in December and Jan ,I think I will be preferring their prices !
The German word for it would be "Knödel", but these special ones are called "Mehlknödel" (flour dumplings). They are made from eggs, wheat flour, water, salt, pepper and a little bit of nutmeg. I am German and was born and raised in Trier, which is only about 20 - 25 km from the Luxemburg border. My Mum used to make Mehlknödel very often and we ate them with some breadcrumbs fried in butter on top and some apple sauce. Still today it is one of my favs! (and I am 62 now!)
Correction, public transport is free for tourists and everybody else not contributing to our fiscal system, whereas everybody else who contribute have already paid for it when VAT went up from 15% to 17%, nothing's for free in the capitalist world, especially not in a country that once used to be world's biggest laundromat together with Switzerland.
Watching this video, it feels like you absolutely waisted your time. You didn't do anything except for drinking wine and eating. Luxemburg is known for: - Nature: The Mullertrailpad is one of the best hiking paths of Europe. Beautiful rocks, rivers, waterfalls... - Castles: There are a lot of Castles in Luxemburg. Especially the Castle of Vianden is very touristic. There's a museum, you can visit by cable car. - Wine: you mentioned the Moezel area. Follow the "Route du vin" and go taste them yourself. There a like 50+ wine makers all on the same road passing vineyards. - Echternach: known for its medieval city, the procession of Echternach, the lake, great museums... Go to Luxemburg again and visit it properly! Don't waste your time looking at buildings without going in the museum. What did you learn from your visit? I don't live in Luxemburg but girl, if you Google 'visit Luxemburg' you can't ignore everything I mentioned 😂. Do it all over again pls.
God damn it! Please stop saying that Luxembourg is the world's richest country! Because it is not! The world's richest country is Qatar and if you do your research correctly you'll see that even Switzerland is richer
Where are we supposed to put our things instead? Jam our camera gear into a briefcase? 🤔 shorts and a tshirt in summertime is more than acceptable, it’s expected!
I bet you that all of those public transportation is not free. It might be free to ride. But someone are paying for the equipment and people to run them. They are not free.
Of course I am contributing paying my Taxes. Actually I was against it because :why should someone who earns 10/20.000€/month not have to pay in order to use the public transportation? Yes free of charges for the single parents or persons earning the minimum wages!
