    Just some inside information on one the questions you ask in the video: If the bank does not want to cover someones bank guaranty for a rent it usually means that they do not earn enough in relation to the amount they will have to guarantee or the contract it not fixed, so the bank won't cover the risk for you - which is essentially what they do - for them it's like a loan in terms of risk.

    Justin: Excellent film, Sir. :). I have only a few questions and appreciate your help in answering them.
    1) Are furnished apartments readily available in Luxembourg ?
    2) Are property owners willing to rent to U.S. retirees who possess a 90 day Schengen Visa allowed stay, on the position that they will probably be given an extension of their stay ?
    3) As for NOW....all E.U. countries have "surrendered" to the E.U.'s request to restrict entrance to those coming from the U.S. These restrictions will last at least until 31 October.
    Of course, it is nice to know this information in advance. :)
    Thank you very much for your help. :)
    Antoine

    • @Nikk2078
      @Nikk2078 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s really not a good idea( in my opinion)you don’t get the whole student life experience as Luxembourg really doesn’t concentrate much on the students aspect,I’m finishing my last year and I’m really glad to leave and do my masters elsewhere and as for student jobs there’s really not much especially if you don’t speak French but I guess the experience depends on each individual.however you can always travel around neighboring countries on weekends and the weather really sucks up here especially if you’re moving from the southern part of Africa.

    Hello, I'm hoping to move to Luxemboug as a self employed worker in the next twelve months, got a question. What's involved in the medical? It's the only part of the process that makes me nervous!

    • @JustInBerlin
      @JustInBerlin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Patrick. There is very good government-provided medical care once you receive a social security number in the country. I have additional medical cover provided by my company which is provided by AXA. I am not sure how the experience differs for self-employed individuals but that's been my own experience.😊

      @@JustInBerlin Did you have blood tests and an exam by a doctor? Without a company to sponsor me I will have to take out supplementary health insurance before I arrive. I was quoted 172€ per month, coming from the UK where healthcare basically feels like its free because you pay for it in your taxes that was something I had not foreseen. Not a huge problem, moving countries is expensive no matter what.
