Thank you for showing us the archetectural drawings, I find floor plans facinating for some reason. I would love a new tour video since I'm one of the people who can't watch the original tour. (not your fault for not knowing things about your camera at the time, your camera work has improved tremendiously in such a short time) I think you should document all the work you do on the house but you don't need to show us everything in real time. You've shown us the process of how you're doing the gutters so a time lapse video of the rest of the gutter work sounds good to me. I agree with this. That video I took a screen shot of each floor of the fire plan floor plan and rewatched it side by side with the floor plan. It made it so much more clear what was being shown.
Don't delete, replace or modify the original videos. Post new videos of updates/re-dos, like tours. Fruit cellars were once popular. They were walled off, enclosed areas in basements that had naturally cool temperatures. A neighbor's house build around 1930 had one. Would be good for storing wine. Keep your personal details to yourself and off the Internet. Don't cave to a few nosy busybodies. And definitely keep that 5 MPH speed limit sign. No burnouts allowed.
I would keep that "fruit room"; we have those in France -albeit smaller, like a closet. I would first check if temperature is really cooler than the rest of the house & check if it is insulated. Many food items can stay in that room without spoiling. It is useful (1) in no power situation, (2) to save space in the fridge.
Interesting finding the original blueprints. It’s a wonderful look into not only the building but how they built things in the 1960s and 70s. The thing with blueprints is the building department will go through them with a fine tooth comb, before they are approved. Things like a beautiful extra stairwell might have been sacrificed for a different mandated change. Then they’d go for contractors to bid on them. Price could have been when the stairwell was scraped. I’d love to see the building with the lights on. Maybe hear some ideas or plans you have. Gutters, in my brain, are basically done. It’s fun to see you on fast forward, can’t lie. Roofs are next. Then windows being repaired. The building needs to be dried in, before it deteriorates. But, your sense of humor, honesty, and how hard you work is what I watch for. I want to warn you to keep your privacy, Jason. If you give info out even on another type of site, someone will foolishly say something by mistake on this site. It gets out and happens quickly. I’ve seen other channels give too much info. This is your life, do you want it altered forever.
Personally I think that everything about this old school is very interesting, there is alot of history (I love history) and your plans for the building are intriguing. You are doing an awesome job! Time lapse the gutters so you can get more done without having to worry about moving the camera every time you move around. Getting the gutters done is extremely important to keeping the building dry. A full tour of the school would be fantastic too. I find it all to be quite fascinating!! Keep up the awesome work. Have a great weekend. God bless
The floor could be stylized concrete like a showroom? Set up the fancy cars for viewing and save other space for a shop area? Even a tool room? The possibilities are endless!
Ceilings are too low for lifts! and @princessnicessus all my cars are rough haha the show room would make the cars look worse! Now if it was styled like a barn now we talking!
What I love about your channel is that it's REAL. It's all you, it's the real work you're doing, you're showing what works, what doesn't, and you're giving us great bonus content. I'm over the gutters, but if you continue filming the work, I'm watching, again, because it's REAL. I quit watching HGTV because it's too Hollywood. I gave several commenter's opinions thumbs up because they said what I feel. My way of voting for you to keep doing what you're doing and how you're doing it. Thanks for sharing it!
I’m up for whatever you post. I’m watching while I’m crocheting. I’m intrigued by this whole process. If it’s 20 hours of gutters(lol) , I’m good with that.
Yason: please do another tour of the school, floor by floor, breaking it into different videos. Also, keep us upto date on the gutter progress, but not every little detail. Thank you. Carol from California
No personal, please, for your own safety and peace of mind. I enjoy your journey with the school, your personality shines through. Stay safe and healthy!
The endless continuation of the gutter saga is fine. Because it is there, you are doing it. The house is not that old! After 1970 the DIN codes came in, making buildings up to code. Such a plus. Privacy is a greater good, Yason. The parent of one of my kids' friends saw me at work, put one and one together, asked his kid the address, and stood at my door. People do that, humanity is a strange bunch. You are a private person. In the end, of course, it is up to you.
If you do another walk thru tour could you give some thought and comment on what you potentially vision the room being? Game room, master bedroom, sex dungeon, etc.
Yes! I was thinking of maybe putting a transparent picture of the layout and putting a dot of where I am in the walk through and some talk about plans now that I have some better idea now!
@@watchere I believe that is a great idea. But, whenever you complete a section of the gutter, please show us that section done in its full glory -otherwise there’ll be disconnect between whatever “another subject” you present & the actual work that’s going on @ your end.
Since you asked … 😁 I would love to see a new tour video, and it would help me if you referred to the blueprints as you went along. (Edit cuts would be fine … I don’t expect you to carry them around!) I vote for weekly gutter updates, including what section you did and if you learned something new or different. Don't eliminate your first videos, they are part of the journey, we can all appreciate your evolution🌻Yes to time lapse footage of the gutter completion because you could have some interesting finds. I would frame the exterior architectural drawings and proudly display them in my home office/library. You have such an amazing opportunity with this property, for me it's like watching someone discover a gold mine🌻When I saw the opening shot of the Dirt Devil, I thought "damn he managed to resurrect that thing". Lol. But as they (Monty Python) would say "the dirt devil is no more" (or some variation on that theme, said in a British accent of course). Ignore "all" the negative comments this is your channel, you get to decide, and we are lucky enough to get to watch you do this. By all means do an update interior video because that's part of this story too. I'd keep a couple of the chalkboards (if they're in good shape) in put them in rooms where they could become useful decor or the back wall of a pantry, or cut in half, put on the wall to make a grocery list or write notes in the kitchen, or in a children's playroom. You have so many opportunities to reuse/reimagine things in your new home🌻This is now my favorite channel. I hope that you had a great 4th. See you on Monday.
Awesome finding the blueprints! And remember, this is your channel. Film the way you would want to. We are watching because we think it is interesting and informative. You film, we both learn something new, Yason. Thank you for your content.
Blueprints are always an interesting glimpse into someone's vision and plan, and we saw, what could have been. Thanks for sharing those! I'm enjoying all your videos, living vicariously for such a big project while i work on our own home renovations. Gutter videos have been entertaining and educational, and makes me glad we have the usual metal gutters - they still have problems, too, but not like the challenges you are facing. Keep the gutter work coming along, and we'll look forward to the next projects, too!
Floor plans are always helpful for us to understand where in the building you are working and how it relates to other parts of the building. Thank you!
It’s sad the buildings were abandoned when they aren’t even that old. So happy to see the plans. Would love to see an updated tour with the plans and lights.
I can't be the only person interested in your cars. It sounds like they are a great hobby of your so why not share. You can get personal without going to far. Of course we are interested, but its up to you how far you want to go. It doesn't mean we'll stop watching. You are human and spend your time doing other things. I vote for car video 😂🤪🤣😜
@@watchere i will be happy with a car here and there. Spread it out and keep us in suspense. Maybe I should have said I can't be the only woman that is interested in cars. 🤣 I miss my del sol. Got it brand new in 93 and had it for 24 years. Couldn't afford the s2000. My dad thought about it but got 2002 RSX type s in 2001 when they were released. Still looks show room ready. That has a story also.
Yason, most of us are not weirdos that will try to find you, BUT this is TH-cam; they’re out there. Perhaps you’re sharing your purpose for your house or the plans for decorating idk. Enjoyed the gutter stuff, hey, I watch lawns being mowed! Ha! Just perhaps speed up some of the gutter parts. Everything you do on your house is content. We want to see the work and hear your plans. Just keep on keeping on👍🏻
My guess is some movies can be filmed there for $$$, if he can block one floor for that purpose. It all depends if there're interested movie makers. It costs them less than a studio.
You could make that 3rd floor into 3 small apartments since there are 3 bathrooms. You could probably do the same on the second floor. Not sure how you could split up the annex. I’ve always wanted to convert a small school or church. Such a cool project.
Yason, you are doing fine. Thanks for sharing the original drawings, okay, so there were changes made. There should be some “ as built” plans some where.
I think a video when you're finishing the last section of gutters would be kind of, oh I don't know, maybe celebratory. Really don't need to see the whole process but if you run into any unique problems just incorporate that into a final gutter video. I'm going to be sad when I no longer hear the word "scupper". The blueprints were very interesting. Always exciting to find historical documents on a building. Dirt Devil bit the dust 😢
I like the blue prints. can't wait for a video showing the differences from actual. Keep your private life private but keep the inspectors. They do a great job and are very cute fur babies
Hey, happy Friday. Yes to the time lapse and a new tour video. Scary basement now that the lights are one. I didn't want to go down there either....lol
That's very cool that you have original plans. It's always interesting when you go into an area someone else lived there first. I know when I went into my place my first thought was why did the people treat it so badly. I don't know if it happen with you when you walked through this place, but when I walked through mine I could see exactly how I would make it look. My friend thought I was insane when I said yes I want it. It took me 2 years but each room looks exactly how I saw it. The gutter situation is part of the process, as having gone through it myself, I know to make things better. So I'm good with the gutter videos. Also leave your first video alone, it's part of the history of this journey we are on with you. I understand some people get Impatient, but rebuilding takes time. Anyway hope you had a good 4th. Stay healthy, happy and safe always. 😊
Yason - throughout the series, you could use a digital version of the blueprints as everyone’s frame of reference re: what part of the house you’re working on, which room you just cleaned, etc... You could even just draw a simple yellow frame around the areas on the digital “map” and cut to that shot for a bit as you’re narrating. Great job so far on the gutters. That shit NEEDED to be done!😅
@@watchereCheck Office Depot or similar stores. They usually have giant equipment and can help for only a small fee. I have printed flyers there for cheap.
Love the videos. I’d love a house tour with the lights on now. I agree with others maybe bring or reference the blueprints when you do the tour. I wouldn’t go with personal stuff personally. I would like to hear what you plan on doing with each room.
Floor tour pt. 2 video using the blueprint as a guide 👍🏼 Finishing up the gutters video (possible time lapse) 👍🏼 Keep making them and we’ll keep watching.
I enjoyed seeing the blueprints because I love looking at plans and blueprints!! Are those yours to keep? If so, maybe get some of those long plastic tubes with lids to store them in rolled up. I was interested in watching the gutters because I like to see renovations, but I agree that probably the remaining parts will be redundant. And also, you don't need to keep up such an agressive schedule of posting twice a week on TH-cam. Make sure to take care of yourself and your health during this process that will most likely take more than a few years!
Love watching your show, beautiful house. Don't tell any private info. Wonderful how you explain everything. Also the pipes on your roof that you tried to look into are attic vent's, we had a old home that had same thing. Let's out extra air for good flow. Beat of luck.
Film what you want to film. I'd love to see more gutters but you can always just do updates every week on your progress and film things you find more exciting. You would probably go faster not filming it. I also strongly recommend not putting any personal info out there, or at least very little. People that tell you that you suck are just jealous that they can't do the same. They generally are people with no life and no ambition that hate seeing people happy or succeeding when they can't. Take it as a compliment. You are doing great and you really seem to be enjoying it.
I do have to agree totally with all in this comment, and reiterate, you will encounter many nasty people that will do everything to bring you down mentally and emotionally. There are so many that hate to see others make/build or restore their dream. Please learn to use the block or delete button and just remove the nasty comments.

It was cool seeing the original blueprints, abd we should still see the gutters to keep it real and us updated, but maybe more time lapse shots. The floor by floor tour sounds great, with maybe some incites into what future plans you have for that area. Keep up the good work
I will now be calling my vacuum the dirt devil too 🤣 If you do the tour it would be interesting to include the plans and show how different rooms are now or mention what the room once were used for now that you know. The plans are interesting to see how what they first thought of and what ended up being built are different. Hopefully you can track down some history to the building
I say, a time laps of the gutters. I'm enjoying your adventure. We bought a house in the SE that was built in 1865. We believe it was built by a union solider after the war. I've been working on this place for 30 years. We are at the place where I have to revisit projects that I have already completed in the past.
I'm really enjoying these side quests. I love architectural drawings, what an amazing find. Thanks for taking us along. Appreciate the video and all your hard work.
To keep people interested perhaps a redo of the introductory tour would be good while you continue to work on those gutters which we could see on a Timelapse video. But I would keep all your personal information private. The plans were interesting too. Take care and crack on !
Glad you found the blueprints, sure helps with repairs. The main house has everyhting need to make a living space. There is going to changes in and blueprints ,at least you know the utility routing.
Nice work. Dont give out to much personal stuff. Many people enjoy your clips and are supportive but a few might not be so friendly to you and your project. Good luck. Im still hoping to see you get water sometime. LOL!
How super cool to have the original floor plans of your building. Personally, I would have a few of them framed to display in one of the areas of your building. It's so nice to have them. Sounds like you have a good plan for videos moving forward. Yes, we've seen the gutters, and appreciate the labor involved with correcting the problems from them. I don't think videos of all the gutters are needed, maybe show them working properly once they're all finished or issues you run into with repairs that haven't previously been shared. Q & A - I like them to get to know the creator. I do not like "live" versions. I prefer when the questions are all gathered ahead of time and then the answers can be provided. The worst videos, in my opinion, is watching someone scroll through comments trying to find questions to answer; it takes up so much time and is not entertaining at all. Maybe ask for questions in an upcoming video, prior to a Q & A one. As far as sharing personal information - you have to be selective in what you share, of course. I am curious as to what part of the country you're in, what state, are you even in the states? You don't need to share what town/city. I'm sure some are curious if you're married, relationship, work background, just normal stuff; viewers feel more connected for some reason. I think another walk through, maybe of each floor and compare it to the floor plan, maybe an idea. Thank you.
I enjoy seeing the areas of the pre work for the gutters that are the ‘problem areas’. The first tour video you did, I thought I saw what I believed was a dumb waiter. I’ve gone back and reviewed the video a few times and I can’t seem to find the location where I thought I saw it. A new tour of the school, floor by floor, would be nice to see again now that you have some clues as to what the purpose of the rooms were originally thought to serve. I would also like to see how the interior is fairing in the specific areas where the gutter works has been completed.
Jason you made my day I’ve been saying that phrase for as long as I remember I’m 62 and ded (dead) is my thing never heard someone say it before. Ty love the videos
I think recording the gutter work for future reference is a good idea as long as you have the hard drive space to keep it. regarding making more gutter videos I would be interested in seeing a montage sort of thing showing how you work around any patches or severely damaged areas, but I do not think anymore showing standard application are necessary.
I'm liking the gutter videos but would love to see other parts of the building being worked on as well (I realize that is impossible when you're the one doing the work) but anyways keep doing what you do & we'll be watching the progress :)
When you did a walk through, there was a big metal security door that you glazed over. I would love to see a video dedicated to refurbishing and accessing it.
First video walk through, 2nd floor security door, about 11:25+/- I believe it might be where they kept the medicine for the kids locked up or they locked the kids in there 🥺@@watchere
Cool that you found blueprints for your property!! Whatever you decide to do with filming and informing us of the gutters from hell saga will work for me!! I hope you had a nice Fourth of July Jason!!
For updated blueprints check your county seat, I believe that's what's it's called they would have to submitted for safety reasons for school, for police and fire department if ever need. I'm looking forward to the updated tour. Maybe do a video of going from room to room making list of what your going to do in that room and what you plan on maybe using it for , 🤔💭💭🤔 just some food for thought. 🤔💭💭💭🤔
Hey Jason, what a magnificent find. The blueprints are fantastic. Consider whether you eventually, frame them and have them on display somewhere in the finished home (maybe a library?). I have enjoyed the recent time lapses on the gutter progress and personally, would love to see the same time lapse video on the remaining gutter, with a final video compiling all the videos for the gutters. Yes, I think a new video would be good doing a new tour now that you have electricity, but don't get rid of the original videos. Remember, this is a journey you are undertaking and it is all part of the process. Keep up the great work, you are becoming more relaxed and natural with the camera and it shows. Look forward to the next video.
That extra stairwell looks like a wart growing off the building; maybe it was added late to meet a fire code until they figured out they didn't need it after all.
So the original builder was dyslexic and inverted things or looked at the plans wonky. Aaaand lots of changes down the line. Edit. Fruit room was standard for produce storage. Think "root cellar". The laundry: electrical outlets were properly marked for irons & ironing boards for all the suits worn in that time frame. Middle of room washer & dryers were standard in center of room for servicing AND for ease of fire response. Any electrical wires would've been run under metal conduit causing a tripping hazard as I know from experience. Multiple copies of the plans probably were either extra copies for future changes or may have small changes on them. Careful side by side perusal would show if that's the case.
Please Jason NEVER give out anything personal or address or town or girlfriend or where you both work. The channel is about the school and you bringing it back to life: not your personal life and guided tours. There are people who love drama, pervs and stalkers and truly crazies. Please please remember there are some 100000% nutters out there and they fixate on unimportant minutiae like your haircut or which screw brand you use. They will cause you grief and you have to secure life against them. Unfortunately that means you push away the vast majority who are good people who want to be entertained, learn a few things and have fun. However, this is reality and the good people will understand it's about the school and your repairs to the school. Good luck, be careful and have fun. Great viewing 🎉

Keep up the awesome job you are doing and ignore what others tell you what you do!You do you.
Thank you! Everything always has its own issues no matter what type of gutter they are!
Floor plans are always helpful for us to understand where in the building you are working and how it relates to other parts of the building. Thank you!
Show us the gutters!!!
I can definitely make a car video. I have alot of them. Would be many videos lmao. So many I may need to start another channel for the car stuff haha
AHHHHHHHHHH! I love blueprints 😁 I am really enjoying watching your journey with this building, even the gutter repair.
Just keep on keeping on👍🏻
Yes do a tour, it will a real challenge to make this a home, its big!!, keep going with the videos, very interesting project. Like your manner 😊
My guess is some movies can be filmed there for $$$, if he can block one floor for that purpose. It all depends if there're interested movie makers. It costs them less than a studio.
Tour of each floor and what you plan for it, and then a timelapse of the gutters once they ae all done, but its been great watching your progress
Wow blueprints! Very interesting! This place is so awesome 👏 😊😊😊😊😊😊
YES, Floor plans!!!!! ❤❤
When you are done you need to frame the old original plans!
The dirt devil STOPPED biting the dust =( very sad! And yes the blueprints were exciting!
I enjoy your videos and boo to the crabs out there
I like the blue prints. can't wait for a video showing the differences from actual.
I'm halfway expecting to see a 10 year old with a moptop hair cut riding a big wheel saying redrum as he peddles down the hallways.
😂
Thx for sharing. Blessings ❤
Congratulations! Hope they help. More videos. Yaaaay! Keep 'em coming TH-cam & Yason.
You’re doing great. Keep it up. One of the things I want to see is those temporary walls coming down!!
Yes that is the plan! I need to find a big enough scanner!!!
@@watchereCheck Office Depot or similar stores. They usually have giant equipment and can help for only a small fee. I have printed flyers there for cheap.
Of course I am interested by your work and your project! Thank you to record all of it.
Love the videos. I’d love a house tour with the lights on now. I agree with others maybe bring or reference the blueprints when you do the tour. I wouldn’t go with personal stuff personally. I would like to hear what you plan on doing with each room.
Floor tour pt. 2 video using the blueprint as a guide 👍🏼
Finishing up the gutters video (possible time lapse) 👍🏼
Keep making them and we’ll keep watching.
No more gutter stuff, mix it up a bit! When I seen you uninstall the fire system (what used to do) I was like nooooooopp😂
Actually, was hoping that he'd fix those back since fire alarms in such a huge place are a must!
@@PrincessNicEssus true very useful for a building like that
Thank you for sharing the moisture content in your walls. I'm such a geek but I just really enjoy that type of stuff.
Glad you enjoy it! I love data and stats! So I love recording data! Data never lies!
@@denisebevione8043 true, many people do not read comments because of the tendency people have to be negative. They have a moderator assigned to monitor posts.
if you want to do a gutter time lapse, that would be cool, but remember internet safety and dont tell people too much
It was cool seeing the original blueprints, abd we should still see the gutters to keep it real and us updated, but maybe more time lapse shots. The floor by floor tour sounds great, with maybe some incites into what future plans you have for that area. Keep up the good work
Wanted to remind you, like your questions and answers video's thankyou for taking the time 😊
I have to do another one of those!
Your videos are awesome. Can you do a video about the changes you want to make ( get rid of this wall, get rid of drop ceiling, etc.)?
Yes! I think i will add some insight in a new tour video!
The blueprints were super cool to see! Love the extra videos ❤
I say, a time laps of the gutters. I'm enjoying your adventure. We bought a house in the SE that was built in 1865. We believe it was built by a union solider after the war. I've been working on this place for 30 years. We are at the place where I have to revisit projects that I have already completed in the past.
I vote time lapse of the remainder of the gutter work *unless something exciting pops.
Demolishing that sticky, heavy tar, then clean and prep, its like standing in the shade watching four guys watch one guy work.
I love a good time lapse!
Don't share any information.
We will learn who you are by hearing your comments, complaints, and short stories.
I'm really enjoying these side quests. I love architectural drawings, what an amazing find. Thanks for taking us along. Appreciate the video and all your hard work.
I love looking at blueprints! Great find even though a lot of changes were made. Another great video!!
To keep people interested perhaps a redo of the introductory tour would be good while you continue to work on those gutters which we could see on a Timelapse video. But I would keep all your personal information private. The plans were interesting too. Take care and crack on !
Thanks for the gift of this video for my 44th birthday 😊
Happy birthday 🎉 🎂 ❤
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Thank you 👍
A timelapse of the gutter project would be interesting.
Thank you.
I'll try to get another q&A together soon!
I'm glad i'm not the only one!!! Happy to have made your day!
Stay doing what ur doing step by step till the whole house is done
Easy on the gutters 😂.
I think recording the gutter work for future reference is a good idea as long as you have the hard drive space to keep it. regarding making more gutter videos I would be interested in seeing a montage sort of thing showing how you work around any patches or severely damaged areas, but I do not think anymore showing standard application are necessary.
I like the idea of time lapse. So cool to see things done quickly.
Metal security door? Do you have the time stamp? Thanks!
First video walk through, 2nd floor security door, about 11:25+/-
I believe it might be where they kept the medicine for the kids locked up or they locked the kids in there 🥺@@watchere
Cool that you found blueprints for your property!! Whatever you decide to do with filming and informing us of the gutters from hell saga will work for me!! I hope you had a nice Fourth of July Jason!!
Would love to see a full walk through of this place!
Working on it!
I’d love seeing some other stuff, but if you want to film gutters, I’m happy to watch gutters.
Yes on the tour and just updates on the gutters. Love the floor plans but I'm a design nerd.
That extra stairwell looks like a wart growing off the building; maybe it was added late to meet a fire code until they figured out they didn't need it after all.
agreed!!
That era was just before permanent press fabrics became widespread, so everything had to be ironed, from shirts to bed sheets.
Makes sense!!!
Thank you for the advice!
That’s a plus finding the blueprints. Interesting the plan of it all. Fruit Storage room?
I have no clue what a fruit storage room is either! haha
Love your videos can't wait to see more
