NOT ME! that's why I named my channel the boring channel. when I made the first free lawn care video no one was making these videos.... do you want to know why? because it sounds like watching paint dry...and if you are into that dad and I painted a house for free as well. that video is on his channel. Ok now that I have rambled a little, I have sorted out the real supporters. Congratulations you are one of the Rare few that make it to this point in the description. (Cough! Cough!.. you would like that newsletter)
In the first part of this project I discussed some of what was going on in this job. here are a few of the other things that I have found out about the job since last weeks video.
Sandra the twin sister of Jeff the owner of the house drove down to help her brother out and it was just a crazy coincidence that she was there when I showed up. Honestly I am leaning on divine intervention. I also found out that the house was not only being foreclosed on but the homeowner was going to get stuck with demolition fees to tear down the house once they vacate the property. to top it off the city has given them around $16,000 in code violation fines. I think that is pure insanity. with that said Sandra did mention that the fines have been accumulating for some time. I don't know how long but she did mention that the pool and the lawn have not been messed with since their parents have passed. she said the last time it was cut was somewhere around 2014. Jeff has been predominately wheel chair bound for 3 years now but I'm guessing that he was not in great health prior to having to be confined to a wheel chair. that's the curse of being a blue collar man I guess. He said that he use to do concrete and brick labor. when my wife and I got married I started working for a concrete company and I have got to give it up for those guys they are a different breed. that is some of the hardest work I have ever done in my life.
So after finding everything out about Sandra and Jeff's situation and how they were currently looking for a place for Jeff to move to. they told me they were hoping to find something that would better fit Jeff's needs. I knew that with everything going on and because he was handy cap as well as having a fixed income, They might need a little extra help. after seeing that his house was falling apart and that it wasn't safe I decided to take action. I brought some money with me to give away as needed and the lord put the right candidate in front of me so at the end of the job I surprised Sandra with $5,000 to help find Jeff a place closer to her.
Sandra and Jeff were amazing to meet and I feel very blessed to have not only met them but to be able to help them in some small way. I want you to know that there is no way that I could do any of this without your support. so thank you so much for taking the time to watch the videos. Together and by that I mean me at the job and you watching and showing support, we are able to do some amazing projects and help a lot of people.

You would die of bacteria if you fell in the pool. Very dangerous.
That's what the city was hoping. The family would just walk away. These city officials are evil. Now this family has one heck of lawsuit against the city for what it did with the fine.
I'm sure many did walk away, and that's why it hasn't been done in so long. 😢

Alot of times if you can show that a person has been disabled and unable to take care of the outside of the property and show proof that he can't afford to pay anyone...they drop the fine or throw it out completely. And now that it's all cleaned up, thanks to you, Kevin, they should definitely throw it out. Then maybe they can sell the property to someone who will tear down the buildings and build their own home. You always do a wonderful job. ❤

I was just thinking of how you are able to take a HUGE task and break it down in your head into smaller tasks to be able to not get overwhelmed and get the job done. That is a gift!
Is there SOMEONE out there kind enough who can help contribute to towards getting this kind man some decent equipment? I've watched a few videos like this one.. this man works his butt off doing MOST of the manual labour bcos he doesn't have decent equipment... Pls guys this man is truly God sent with an obvious HUGE heart... Getting some decent equipment could potentially lighten his task so he gets alot more work done in a shorter time period and also help with his back issues.

It seriously pickles my onions that authorities would rather keep slapping people with fines they know they can never afford, rather than being proactive. Then the bank wants to take their home, demolish it, and kick them with the fee for that. It's a sick world we live in. Then there are people like you. A kind heart making their life better.

Kevin you're amazing. I'm a landscape architect and own a landscape construction company, I have lived in Florida for over 32 years. It seems this family's home is in North or Central Florida from the trees and plants I identified. I would like to see if I could help this family get that interior floor and joists replaced. I'm sure the house needs a lot of work, but after you brought their life situation to TH-cam, I'm sure others in the area would be willing to donate some materials and time to help them too. I am Colombian, and in my humble opinion I see that their land is large, they should sell a piece of their land and pay those fines and if they have to sell another area to fix the house do not hesitate, so that they have a dignified old age, I do not criticize their country but the neighbors should be friendlier as in Colombia, When we see people in that situation we help them even if we don't have money, we have to have more empathy with the needy

OXTER !!! Drain the pool, power wash it. With everything cleaned/cleared up sell the land. It has water, power and sewer already inplace. Sell it. OH MY WORD! Young man the difference is crazy good. If the lots on each side are empty, what a buy it could be to get all 3 lots. Already has power, water sewer/septic and a pool. Yes the pool needs alot of work and the buildings needs to come down.
