Super helpful video. For now I just have it plugged into the 4 pin because I didn’t want to splice into the truck just like you were saying. Definitely gonna look into that adapter and the clips to mount it to give it space from the door stops. As of now I just have it curved around those bumps.
Great info! Looks like we have the same truck. Do you happen to have the trailer assist feature on your truck? If so, was wondering if tapping this light bar into the trailer harness caused any issues with calibration and function. Thanks!
I thought your Video was thorough, however I was hoping you would explain how you were able to install the bar so that it would not get knocked loose by the tailgate wiring harness cord. (this wiring harness contains the Backup camera and tailgate locks) When I installed mine, when I lowered the tailgate, the light bar would come unattached. What am I doing wrong????
any issues out of using the adapter yet?, im getting ready to do this as well and I will be buying the wire harness and installing it like you did so im not into my factory harness. I like the reversible like you. so the only thing you need to do is splice the led bars reverse wire into the center wire of the 7 pin connector and plug in the 4-pin connecter from the led bar to the 4-pin connector on the Curt wire harness? seems simple enough. I do need to get some sort of spacers too, my plastic under the tail gate is the exact same. Thanks for the video! What exhaust set up is he running? Sounds great!
As for wiring you dont need that thick of a green wire helps none seeing you hooking up a much smaller gauge wire same size is all you need , also you could have just disconnected the harness from the backside without pulling everything out . The other thing you could have done was to use a scotch lock on the wire for the tail light and would not really do any harm to the factory harness Like anyone would care if a 5 years down the line you sold the truck .
Im having this issue now. Have a 19 ram rebel and went with a 60" Putco. However, the lightbar does not fit flush in the back due to wiring and such. Are you saying that a wiring harmess would do the trick? Thank you in advance.
Wow, some people are really dense! Maybe they don’t anyone looking up their license plate and tracking down where they live leaving them vulnerable to theft or other endangerment. Or exposing themselves to identity theft. Idiots! 🙄

I just used your method and it worked perfect . Thank you
Start to finish. Great vid
Great video. I am going to do this once I get clips and some wire to splice.
Do you have a link to where you purchased the clips.
I bought that one, and then returned it after looking at the install. Maybe I'll try again with those
What was part numbers on extension clips or where can I find them ?
Your method, easy going. Was so helpful
I just gushed my pants when I heard that exhaust.
Do your running lights work on the light bar??
Was that a triple opt7 bar because those clips did make it come out any further you listed to purchase not sure why
What exhaust does the truck have? It sounds amazing
Not stock it’s Carven

I bought My opt 7 today thank you for the video, Can i ask the tire on the truck, and are the rims factory?
How’s the tailgate open? I placed the bar equal with those humps on mine and the tailgate does not open without hitting on it.
After using that harness did ur sensors work and all of that
No issues. Everything is fine
Please ask your son what exhaust he has sounds great!
HELLO I saw your video really good on the other hand you did not put anything in fixation on the ends of your led bar?
Not sure what you mean?
Must of watched 5 or 6 videos about the rear light bar install and this one is better than all of them. 🫡

Still all perfect no issues
👍👍
So i see now that this can be done without totally removing the tailgate, most reviewers say you have to take it off first.
I've put one of these on almost every single truck I've owned in my life and I've never taken the tailgate off.

All that work….just buy the adapter harness….takes 5 min….work smarter not harder…and they make a light bar for the 5th gen trucks…

Is the light bar for the 5th gen ram made by OPT7?
Can you please provide links to products
Please elaborate on the bar and harness for 5th gen Rams? Thx
Is the truck stolen if not why are you covering the license plate?
Wow bro
I wondered same. Maybe his some is wanted by the police or the feds maybe. 🤷🏽♂️

Its so yall can't just look up his info and go rob them blind! Also can't make false police reports with their plate number for no real reason
What a waste of time for some light…u put holes in the truck…not worth it..for a light
what size light bar is this and what exhaust does this have
Where you George bracket? The extended ones
