Much appreciated for this tutorial Waterfowler! Rear LED markers were just the accent I needed for the rear of my 2021 Ram 1500 Night edition...man, do those LEDs pop!!! Next project is going to be the custom DIY rear brackets for reverse spots.
Good job. They look good. Just bought a crew cab warlock few months ago. Starting to add stuff here and there to it. Just to let you know I’ve used this style light on my previous truck on the front grill lights. They r super bright but don’t last. On the front lense they are not sealed good from factory and they start to rust around the outer edge where lense is and not long after light gets dim and goes out. Did some research a lot of people had same issues. Some guys siliconed outer lense edge to make last longer. Maybe yours would b ok as they r in the back. Hope this helps .
Just finished this mod on my 2021 Ram 1500. Of course it cost be about $60, since I didn't have of the equipment in my garage; however I love the look...so it was worth it.
With several projects on the list like POR 15 and Eastwoods Internal Frame Coating that I have sitting in the Garage the most important one on the list is replacing that Cheep A... OEM wire loom from Mopar with Painless Performance Classic-Braid Chassis kit. I actually upgraded the OEM bumper and I was blown away by the amount of dry salt that was trapped in the wiring harness for the parking sensors.
They look awesome. To bad I just installed a light bar thinking that was going to be cool. What are your thoughts pertaining to speaker upgrades from the alpine 10 speaker system. What's best for our trucks
Does video make it seem like the the marker lights are brighter than the actual taillights? As in when they are in the running position? Meaning when the brakes are NOT applied?
Nope I was hoping I could but they didn’t fit in the grill. When I ran grill lights I used those 3/4” marker lights for a while then switched to these, they’ve gone up significantly on pricing but I’ve seen some lesser known brands with the same lights for half the price. www.f150leds.com/products/2021-raptor-style-extreme-amber-led-grill-kit?variant=39262382227627¤cy=USD&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4tfl2u2I_QIVwkByCh0Vsg3_EAQYASABEgL9bPD_BwE
Love this idea, I know you tapped it into the marker lights but will they come on with the automatic lights option or you’ll have to always switch over to marker lights on knob? Love the videos man I just got my truck a few months ago and I look forward to seeing what else you can teach me!
hi, I have 2019 ram , I just made a portable Li-ion battery pack with BMS and voltage regulators. I want to use it as a second battery in the truck bed, I need to wire isolator from the main battery to the bed, but I want to know if I can use the power from the 7 pin connector .. what is the max amp can it handle ?
I think you could have run those lights in series and used less wires? Power to the first light and negative from the first led to positive of the second led and so on??
Maybe, not sure though. The specs for the lights say polarity sensitive but nothing beyond that but I don’t see why simple LEDs couldn’t be run in series.
That is not a silly question. It’s kind of a pain in the butt but there’s a clip on the harness you’ll need to depress and pull the harness straight out from the back of the plug. Make sure the clip is pushed all the way down.
Just finished this mod this morning. They look awesome! Thanks for the video.

Great to hear!
That's awesome man, thanks so much! I've been trying to figure out how to do this to my Warlock!
Cheap mod and looks AWSOME 🤔 going have to do them on my 2020

Haha love it man, this for sure will annoy tailgaters.
I believe the three lights like that are to say the vehicle is over 8’ wide. That’s why dually’s and campers have them.
correct that's when lights like this are mandatory.
Well done brother. Another thing I’m going to add to my to do list.
Thanks! This is a super cheap and subtle upgrade but I love how they turned out!
Like that look.
Wow, they are so bright! Looks awesome.
Love them!

What are your thoughts pertaining to speaker upgrades from the alpine 10 speaker system. What's best for our trucks
Every sound system can be improved it just comes down to how much $$ you want to throw at it
Excellent mod. This is one I will do. Thanks.
Does video make it seem like the the marker lights are brighter than the actual taillights? As in when they are in the running position? Meaning when the brakes are NOT applied?
They only have one output and they turn on with my running lights. They are not tied to the brakes.
LOOKS GREAT…..
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching.
Are you using the amber leds from the same listing for the front? If so, did they fit into the grille without modification? Thanks
Nope I was hoping I could but they didn’t fit in the grill. When I ran grill lights I used those 3/4” marker lights for a while then switched to these, they’ve gone up significantly on pricing but I’ve seen some lesser known brands with the same lights for half the price.

They need a very light tint over them to look right. Greast idea tho dam bro I got ur light bar bracket and now im ordering these u rock bro!

The marker lights come on automatically with the headlights. I don’t need to flip any switches. When it gets dark they turn on
Nice mods!
What if I want to hook them into the break light, which wire is it
Typically it'd be a blue wire in the 7 pin bundle but use a multi meter to verify.
hi,
I have 2019 ram , I just made a portable Li-ion battery pack with BMS and voltage regulators.
I want to use it as a second battery in the truck bed, I need to wire isolator from the main battery to the bed, but I want to know if I can use the power from the 7 pin connector .. what is the max amp can it handle ?
I don’t know but I’m not sure I would power too much from the harness. I think you need to run that direct to your battery.
I don’t see your backup lights you installed. Did you remove them? I must have missed that if you did.
Unfortunately the brackets were hitting my Corsa exhaust tips.
Awesome mod. Why couldn’t you just wire them to the tag lights?
I suppose you could the trailer harness is really easy to get too
What did you get it says to select brightness cool natural or warm?
These are red. I think only white has the natural and warm option.
OK I selected red and it still gave me the same options I’ll try again thank you
I guess you were corrected shows the options but you cannot choose one if you get the red thank you
I think you could have run those lights in series and used less wires? Power to the first light and negative from the first led to positive of the second led and so on??
Maybe, not sure though. The specs for the lights say polarity sensitive but nothing beyond that but I don’t see why simple LEDs couldn’t be run in series.
@@WaterFowler41 yeah I am going to do this mod as well!! Great videos by the way! Cruising through your channel now!
Can you tell me what number of the fuse you used it??
These are tied into the running light wire in the trailer harness, are you wondering what SIZE fuse to use? If so, a 5 amp fuse is perfect.
Might be silly a question but how you do disconnect the trailer wires?
That is not a silly question. It’s kind of a pain in the butt but there’s a clip on the harness you’ll need to depress and pull the harness straight out from the back of the plug. Make sure the clip is pushed all the way down.
Is it the clip that is slightly to the right if you’re looking at the harness from under the truck?
I believe so
No luck lol had to give up until I can research more
Way to much talk
Thanks for watching…I guess?
