“Jenga” is the phrase the captioning team uses when they aren’t initially sure exactly what’s being said. In most cases, they replace it with “unintelligible” if nobody can figure out what was said, but sometimes it seems they forget to replace it in the final draft. You can find out more by taking a look at the Closed Caption/Subtitles part of the video description, which has a link to CR’s official site’s blog post from about 5 years ago. I think, and it is not an issue with your explanation, but more Matt's, that it would be clearer if it said: "The key here is everyone is taking turns of rolling six dice (6d6). Any doubles (or other multiple) they get add together as their score. Then they reroll any dice that showed multiple numbers again, adding the multiples to their score, until there's no more doubles (or triples or ...) rolled. The highest total score is the winner." @@Deaddocus Agreed, that is better phrasing and it's probably what Matt meant (multiples instead of only doubles/triples). It's just that he made the game on the fly (which is already impressive), so it's hard to get completely clear wording on the first try.
Considering he made it up on the fly, it's pretty good. Statistically, the likelihood of rolling doubles or more on 6 dice is quite high, and even with just 2, it's still 6 in 36, which isn't terrible. It makes it random and fun and not too hard to win a fair amount of the time, but still risky.
@@MemphiStig The odds of rolling doubles are excellent, at least for the first roll! On 6d6, there's about a 98.5% chance of getting doubles. On two dice, it's 1 in 6, or 16.7% (36 combinations with 6 "winning" rolls).
