@muhest - much more to that, especially if you read Morricone biography, a pure genius. No question about it.
At the end it is all about Morricone and Edda Dell'Orso.
      Note:

Ennio Morricone should have been at least nominated for the Oscar for this, but the Academy's unfair treatment of his work continued right up until his last nomination and finally, win, for his score for The Hateful 8. He should have won for The Untouchables, but that year was a ridiculously stacked deck.

I got chills watching your reaction.
I sang choir in high school but straight up hate listening to opera. A friend of mine asked if I’d ever seen an opera, and admitted she hadn’t either, so I found us a night and it was a date.
Live and in person, the power, subtlety, and ability to emote that those singers demonstrated from the stage was mind blowing. When you understand that there is no amplification, it’s even more impressive.
There is nothing like an orchestra live, but to have those voices cutting through on top of it. It’s another level.

These Danes are great! As a wee lad, I used to cup my hands around my mouth in a special way to create that ocarina-like sound from this special song. Morricone's music has always moved me. "Gabriel's Oboe" was performed at my father's funeral, and "Cinema Paradiso" was a soundtrack during more romantic evenings. Love to hear more Morricone and music from this exuberant Danish Orchestra. Great reaction and show!

    • @carolynbailey7081
      @carolynbailey7081 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Morricone’s sound tracks for the Clint Eastwood “spaghetti” westerns are, indeed, brilliant. But the Once Upon A Time In The West sound track exceeds all of these by a mile. The film is loaded with stars such as: Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, Claudia Cardinals and Jason Robards. An opening scene “staring” the little known supporting actor Jack Elam is a special touch. The sound track is the real star. Each main character has theme music suiting that character (my favorite is Cheyenne). The climatic gun fight near the end of the movie is the best music of the movie. The scene and the climax signifies the “death” of the old west and the beginning of the new west. The accompanying score is so perceptive of the change. This film and the sound track should have won every award that exists. Ironic that an Italian director and an Italian composer have created the ultimate western for our enjoyment!

I've always been familiar with the whistle from memes involving western duels. I went and listened to the whole song on a whim one time and thought it was unironically an amazing song. I listened to the rest of the music from the movie not just the main theme with the iconic whistle. The trio and the ecstasy of gold are masterpieces. Eventually I went and watched the movie since I always told people I loved the music from it I mind as well have seen it. I was not disappointed. I get why it birthed an entire genre and is still one of the most iconic movies even half a century later.

When you watch Clint Eastwood as his no-name character, you need to let yourself imagine yourself being him. That is the secret to the 'Spaghetti" western genre.

I can't imagine what an artist like jayzee could be if he could write his OWN music 🎵🎶, instead of sampling it😶

Polo I'm back. I went to the movie set of this in Mercia, Spain. Stood in the bank of El Paso etc etc. Spiritual, as these three movies are so iconic.

Ennio Morricone composed the music for more than 400 films during his career. He did all three of the Eastwood movies with Sergio Leone, as well as "Once Upon A Time in the West" and "Once Upon A Time in America", also by Leone.
"The Ecstasy of Gold" from the last scene of the movie "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" is what Metallica uses as their intro music before each concert. When you hear "L'estasi dell'Oro", the show is about the begin...

The first time I heard the second part I instantly thought of all the Dodge Ram commercials during football season lmao. They always have this song in the background while the truck is going through like a muddy trail or something followed by Jermy Renner's deep cowboy voice..."Dooodge Raaam"

Ennio Morriconi was a genius, every spaghetti western had his stamp on it, 😏 his music has haunting and beautiful qualities, he did so much more. Ennio Morricone OMRI[1] (Italian: [ˈɛnnjo morriˈkoːne]; 10 November 1928 - 6 July 2020) was an Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor, and trumpeter who wrote music in a wide range of styles. With more than 400 scores for cinema and television, as well as more than 100 classical works, Morricone is widely considered one of the most prolific and greatest film composers of all time.[2][3] His filmography includes more than 70 award-winning films....👍

You've got to check out the Metallica version of the second tune here. The Ecstasy Of Gold, found on the S&M album, it's also what they've made their stage entrance to for year's.

In the late-19th Century and early-20th Century there was an Italian Classical Music conductor named Arturo Toscanini, who led some of the greatest classical music performances of that time period. He left Italy after the rise of the dictatorship of Benito Mussolini in 1920. He then signed a lucrative contract to become the conductor of The NBC Orchestra. Toscanini conducted radio concert performances on NBC Radio, and later on NBC Television. A kinescope of Toscanini’s very first 1948 simulcast on NBC Television of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, is available for viewing here on TH-cam, and is a very good investment of your precious time for great Classical music entertainment.
