- and they do so well. Also coming for this small country, this kind of performance gives me pride that "we" can assemble such talent. The camera work is also brilliant in underscoring how the orchestra works. I **love** what they do!
I cant resist watching this everytime i see a reaction to it ! Absolutely perfect 10/10. You have to watch the movie before you can comprehend just how brilliant this is ! They should do a fistful and a few dollars more ! I recommend to everyone that you must wear headphones to fully appreciate the full experience 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not to diminish the brilliance of Morricone's score, but.... Hermann - Citizen Kane Korngold - Robin Hood Rosza - Ben-hur Steiner - King Kong And many more contenders...
One reactor commented: "After watching this I want to go out and do something heroic!" Personally, I've sat in the audience for many symphony performances in North America and here in South Korea, and it is always amazing to watch and listen to accomplished, talented, very educated musicians who have worked and studied for most of their lives to gain a place in an orchestra like this. Yes, I've attended many rock concerts as well, but its hard not to appreciate the degree of education, dedication and performance expertise on display in a symphony orchestra.
Most heartedly agree. My experience is limited to the Detroit Sympnony. Their free concerts in the park where amazing, because of the the responses of the small children there. Everyone should be so priveledged as to experience a real orchestra.
Ennio Morricone is an amazing composer. What I really love is he was Italian and his take on the American West is so unique. He uses sounds and instruments you wouldnt hear normally. It's an amazing interpretation of the american sound.
Morricone, as a classical composer, was asked by Instructor and Filmmaker Sergio Leone to make the music. And to my knowledge he never actually saw the films!
I watch a lot of reaction videos of several different reactors. But I've never seen a reaction as pure as this. Your love for music is real, and not pretentious. Great!
Any movie themes from the Danish National Symphony will leave you speechless. Also, any live performance of John Williams movie themes. I also get tears in my eyes from the theme to Conan the Barbarian. Hans Zimmer live performances are also pretty epic.
That soprano vocalist- Christine Nonbo Andersen (please forgive me if I misspelled her name) - she simply kills me every time I hear her hit that high note. It kills me man. She rips out a piece of my heart every time. Just simply superhuman vocals. I've listened to some of her other work too and it is all equally unbelievable. But this piece remains my all time favorite. She's a God given talent and I'm not sorry for saying it. To me, she is proof that God exists.
There are many videos of orchestras playing iconic movie and game music. Some prudish people might think it's stupid but honestly I think it's amazing celebrating music that's legitimately awesome. These pieces are iconic for a reason and I'm sure these players enjoy these performances as much as the audience.
This was NOT an easy piece to play, there are a few intricate and complicated parts to this for sure. And there's nothing wrong with having some fun with the music.
I've seen several reactions to this performance. One of the comments said that this particular performance included the theme music from all 3 of the movies in this series. The discipline it takes for each and every one of the performers to pull this off so masterfully is what gets me.
While watching these movies I never realized how fantastic the music was. I've listened to a dozen of these Danish Orchestral videos after the first time I watched the "Good Bad and Ugly" video.
This is the kind of performance that makes me wish to be there. In addition, the camera work on the videos from the Danish Symphony Orchestra is brilliant in adding to the mood of the music and giving an impression of how well they work together.
My Brass-Playing friends will love that you shouted out the Brass Section. That trumpet part in the first half, when they're doing those triumphant flourishes? (2:30) Sooooooo hard. Loved the reaction!
SO MANY DONE MY THIS INCREDIBLE ORCHESTRA, ALL AMAZING! "For A Few Dollars More, The Godfather, Bang Bang - My Baby Shot me Down, Interstellar Suite, Skyfall, 007, Pink Panther, 5th Element"...Bro! So Many!
It gives me the chills every time I hear them play this. So beautiful, so much talent, so much attention to detail. How each sound plays its part perfectly to just flow into your ears and take your mind on a soaring adventure.
There are multiple instances of orchestral arrangements of video game scores, movies, tv shows, and anime themes done to fantastic detail. It is always amazing to see them.
You should watch “Once Upon A Time In The West”, recorded the same night at this concert. And If you do, pay attention to the camerawork. It is fabulous. The way you see the conductor giving istruktions to the players.
While that would be cool, you should also react to the vocals with the theme. It's called "Your Love". In the original, it was hummed by Edda del'Orso. 46 years later it was sung by Jackie Evancho. Absolutely incredible voice.
Nothing compares to seeing the Maestro Ennio Morricone (R.I.P.) at work live. I have had the honor to see him and his orchestra perform live on his world tour when he was in The Netherlands. Mind blowing! Whenever you have the opportunity to go to a live concert, just do it and be amazed.
I remember going to see The Good, The Bad and the Ugly when it was released in 1967. I was 9 years old and sitting in the back seat at the drive-in. I have to admit that at 9 years old I didn't really understand the movie, but I was absolutely captivated by this theme song!
This is one of best examples of the beauty and scope of a live musical performance. The Danish national Symphony Orchestra has lots of great performances on their channel including the other two spaghetti western themes that go with this one.
With your headphone you can appreciate the genius of Ennio Morricone who has created this music in the '60 using many beautiful effects (ocarina, traditional instruments, chores, strange noises, bell, sounds of animals -"wawawa" is a coyote- and soprano voice). The Danish Orchestra reproduces very well all this marvellous 'ensemble'.
I first saw and heard this today, the good bad and ugly being my favorite film of all time. When I heard this today I just couldn't stop listening and watching it, this is unbelievable. The passion is awesome.
It's great to see all the components that make up this song. An iconic Ennio Morricone composition. You should listen to his other western compositions or watch the films for the complete experience. He has a huge repertoire of great film and TV soundtracks.
Ennio Morricone is an Italian excellence who recently passed away, has composed hundreds of film soundtracks and received the Oscar for Lifetime Achievement before leaving he left the orchestral scores of some of his most beautiful soundtracks, such as the one here so well performed the Wua-Wua that often intrigues is the sum of the singer's voice and the sound of a harmonica, you can see it at 3.45 minutes of your reaction the soundtrack was composed in the 60s and there were no electronic distortion of the voice he liked to insert musical jokes with unusual instruments
Completely awesome, amazing and solid goosebumps. Great surprice and highly recommended. Unexpected new fan of The Danish National Symphony Orchestra. Will definitely buy tickes for the upcoming show.
I recommend you to check some of the concerts that Ennio Morricone himself was conducting. He's unique!!! But yes, this orchestra did a perfect job. It's all good. Love it!
Ennio Morricone was a master composer for both art music and movie scores. It's not only the music is a masterpiece, but also how it is used in the movies. You really should watch a movie with music from him and pay attention to matches of music theme/character or dramatic events. This adds so much to the scenes.
That's excarly how the composer , Ennio Morricone, wanted this piece to sound, the integration with movie is seamless , he and the director Sergio Leone worked magnificently together .. the Danish Orchestra makes a fantastic job performing it for sure..
Do you ever get that feeling when you know you are un tge presence if greatness? The first time I heard and saw this, I was awestruck. Watching your reaction is about the 10th time I've seen it, and still get chills. I'm at a point that I actually anticipate about 3 bars ahead. Can we take a moment not only to recognize the Danish Orchestra, but the brilliance of Ennio Morricone for such a rich body of work.
It is always a pleasure to meet people who are just as impressed by good music as I am. And by the way, for me this Sergio Leone movie is still the best westerns of all time and the Ennio Morricone soundtrack is epic.
Our National Symphony Orchestra (and other symphony orchestras in our country) not only perform classical music, but it's quite common that they perform pieces from popular culture (like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, MCU etc.) in order to make live classical music appeal to everyone. It's awesome! If you haven't already, check out their version of the Mandalorian theme and the Avatar soundtrack. Greetings from Denmark!
I've watched The Good, the Bad and the Ugly I don't know *how* many times. Always loved this song but *never* saw who recorded it or how it was recorded until reactors like you uploaded this clip. Thanks to whoever suggested this.
FYI, this concert was a note for note, instrument authentic recreation of the original movie score. Yes, it is incredible! If you watch the movie, this is what you will hear at the beginning and end of the movie.
I'm now getting tears hearing this a 2nd time in the past 10 minutes after listening to the original youtube cut! Not too many songs with no discernible lyrics can bring tears!
It’s a thing they do quite often. There’s this guy in danish television spearheading the project and he’s been the nerdy cool tv presenter for many years. He was instrumental in giving young ppl/children of the 90s good quality childrens tv. He also did several projects on his own, like a late night tv show about old black and white monster/sci-fi movies. In relation to the music, they often have a theme and preform music from movies/tv. They’ve done a Star Wars themed concert, sci-fi (Star Trek, the thing etc.) and I think they recently did a space themed one.
I have loved the musical scores from the Trilogy since I was about 15, i am 69 now. Still have my original albums. Pure genious! Can not tell you how often on a car ride I have listened to this music. It just goes so well in Montana or other open spaces where you are the only car on the road. Yep there still are places like that
There’s lots of layers of talent in this piece. First of course the original composer, Enrico Morricone, who was breaking some new grounds with the way he composed music for these western films. Then there is the person who made the particular arrangement, picking which pieces of music from the film to play and how they put them together into this piece. Next up is the conductor, keeping track of tempo and timing, giving cues to the members of the orchestra on when to come in etc. And then the performers, both vocalists and those playing instruments, all who are doing a great job with tone, timing and overall performance. Worth also is a nod to the stage crew and camera team. The backdrop is really nice, and the camera team switches shots very well without feeling that you miss something.
I have watched and appreciated orchestra music all my life having played melodic percussion in band and orchestra when in school. I can say without reservation that this was a level above your typical professional orchestra in all the aspects you mentioned.
This - film has been absurdly Popular and it is fantastic performance and - production, but I think it has reached a near record number of views, many millions! And the Orchestra is known for making High Class version of popular themes. As a Dane I'm of course very proud, though the very well known, Wah Wah Lady is a Norwegian, and also she is one of the Best in the World. It really is Quality all over!
i saw them play Star Wars, a new hope, from 1977, there they played the movie in the background on a big screen, and they played all the music. it was an epic evening for me and 2 of my friends.
@@RustyDust101 Nice one. Best knowledge about the movie for me, is that they had to rebuild the bridge when it blew up prematurely due to a miscommunication on set. The cameras were not rolling...ugghh.
Not to take anything away from the excellent musicianship but these are professionals in a national symphony orchestra. I would expect nothing less than flawless playing.
I had seen this before but had forgotten about it. I'm glad I came across your reaction video and was able to experience it again with you. Very moving.
You asked "Is this something they normally do?" While I can't speak in regards to the Danish National Symphony, I can say the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (ISO) did an amazing performance of Star Wars IV (A New Hope). They performed at an outdoor amphitheatre, and the audience could bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnic lunch etc on the grassy field. Above the stage was a large movie screen, reminded you of the size of an old drive-in theatre screen, it was huge. While the movie was running on the screen, the ISO played the sound track. This performance was a dedication to the amazing composer John Williams. I was in complete shock the entire performance. It's one thing to hear the soundtrack on a state of the art 5.1 Dolby Stereo surround sound system while watching a movie, but to hear it via a live symphony orchestra was mind blowing!
They do this all the time. I've been to see them twice, once was a concert for sci-fi soundtracks and the other was for fantasy movies. You should definitely look up their work here on youtube, or go see them in person if you have the chance!
I do appreciate your reactions to really great music. No matter the visual differences between us or the cultural differences, our appreciation for great music bringing people from all of the world together, united in acknowledgement of the things that unite us instead of dividing us-that's simply beautiful...
Welcome to our national band. Yes they often play with masterpieces. Hi from Denmark
- and they do so well. Also coming for this small country, this kind of performance gives me pride that "we" can assemble such talent.
The camera work is also brilliant in underscoring how the orchestra works. I **love** what they do!
Skål , I want to experience this in person some day ! ( Morricone goat )

Hello from Australia.

Mr. Morricone’s score for the Good the Bad and the Ugly is the greatest score written for a movie. Every song gives you chills.

Hermann - Citizen Kane
Korngold - Robin Hood

Ennio Morricone is an amazing composer. What I really love is he was Italian and his take on the American West is so unique. He uses sounds and instruments you wouldnt hear normally. It's an amazing interpretation of the american sound.
Takes the Italians to merge the American frontier western with tragic European opera.
I was hooked when I first heard the Jews Harp in the first two films.
Morricone, as a classical composer, was asked by Instructor and Filmmaker Sergio Leone to make the music. And to my knowledge he never actually saw the films!
This is the orchestra that did the original score for the movie. That's exactly why they sound so spot on.
I love the Indian ladies singing.
I watch a lot of reaction videos of several different reactors. But I've never seen a reaction as pure as this. Your love for music is real, and not pretentious. Great!

I hope that DNSO would have John Williams conduct this famous orchestra with one of his famous songs like one from Indiana Jones.
The orchestra performed it the way it was written, with the same vocal arrangements as the original version in the movie.
It's is a great great cover of a song from a great movie. This is one of the most amazing things I've seen on YT in a long time.
That second movement is known as THE ECSTASY OF GOLD.

Honestly thats more a polite acknowledging nod towards the game/ movie/ component than anything else, imo
They don't care of about the source. They will give GoT and Halo the same attention and passion as they do for Beethoven and Bach.
It's the same orchestra, and I read that their agenda was to make classical music more approachable to general audiences. Great idea in my opinion.
This was NOT an easy piece to play, there are a few intricate and complicated parts to this for sure. And there's nothing wrong with having some fun with the music.
Classical Music was Pop Music back when it was written. Some of it is good, some isn't.
Music that some would say is at the heart of America - composed by an Italian, played by a Danish Orchestra ;)
I've seen several reactions to this performance.
One of the comments said that this particular performance included the theme music from all 3 of the movies in this series.
The discipline it takes for each and every one of the performers to pull this off so masterfully is what gets me.
Amazing piece of music! So many gifted musicians. But most incredible of all - the man who wrote it! Thanks Danish Symphony!!
What I love most is how clean and true they are to the original score of all these iconic themes.
They also do "A Fistful of Dollars" and "For a Few Dollars More," the other two movies in the series.
And let’s not forget, they also did “Once Upon A Time In The West” (my favorite spaghetti western).

I love the dude hanging strung up by his neck for effect. Almost missed it the first time I heard this I was so caught up in the music.
This is my favorite piece of Morricone's, and my favorite performance of this piece. Just plain magic.
It is a masterpiece and you reconginize this music as soon as it starts and was a big hit at the time
What a Gorgeous arrangement..
I think this composition was used throughout the movie. Magnificently done!
