I followed this recipe except I cut the simmering time down to 1 hour, and I have to say that these were some of the best country ribs I have ever had. Delicious!
I don't know why anyone would give a thumb's down for this recipe! Only thing I can think of is there are 11 people who don't like ribs! Well let me tell ya I've made this recipe and the ribs were so good they'd make ya stand right up and sass yo mama!
The truth is, to this day and since I started this channel, I haven't received even one complaint about any of my recipes by someone that actual tried them!🙌🍻
Made this tonight and it came out EXCELLENT! I was worried it might be dry after all that cooking, but it was pretty juicy. I finished it under the broiler for a few minutes and than caramelized it even more.
Just made these fall apart ribs....had to adjust the rub some, but the flavor is mouthwatering.....with the cold we had tonight, inside was the only way!....may always do it this way~...thanks so much~!
As I am new to cooking ribs(a non American and never eaten one) I need all the help I can get with cooking them for my husband(who is American) and loves them! As we live in Australia ribs aren't a common thing here, so these should go down a treat! Thank you for sharing:)
Really, I know lot's of Australians that are big into barbecue and cook ribs all the time. Anyway, try my playlist. I've got several great rib recipes here: th-cam.com/play/PLgpSuUqzreMO-sH0rQ008B_t2pebg46Ls.html
Hello Gourmet Kitchen. Your barbecue ribs is delicious looking. Maybe I'll be a little pig I'll take four. Not a whole lot of work. Like when you're on the barbecue pit. Were you have to constantly. Check your ribs and the heat . You have a great evening. Thanks for sharing.

I made these last nite and they were fantastic!! I always put mine in the crockpot but wanted to try something different, boy was I glad I did. I will do it this way from now on. The best I’ve ever had ❤️💕
That's great. A lot of my recipes have been designed to ping pong off of each other and this one is no different. Next time, use the leftover sauce to make these No Bake Baked Beans: th-cam.com/video/iTN6ADrR_8Q/w-d-xo.html They go great with these ribs. 🍻
Oh man, those are awesome! Country ribs are a favorite here and although we often braise them in the oven if we can't grill, I really like your stovetop, then oven, technique. We'll definitely be giving this a try.
Wow! I didn’t think I’d like them done in a pan bcuz I don’t like “fall of the bone” anything, I like a little bit of pull. These look like they’re still texturally in tact, great idea with the pineapple juice. Thanks Chef. Liked. 😁
Well country ribs are a under-the-radar cut. IHO better than rib racks themselves...in fact you don't need the pineapple juice to tenderize cause as you said plenty of interlaced meat. Really just a rub and yes outdoor grill is the ticket. That smokey edge with your own dipping sauce will do it right. Cheers friend.
They look very delicious. I like your technique of using the excess bbq sauce for the beans. A local grocer has these style of country ribs on sale this week. It's been a few years that I have cooked thes. When done right, they are very good and inexpensive to boot. Thank You PMGK for showing us how to cook for a small group of people and inexpensive. For my beans, I am going to cheat and use canned pork n beans, add the excess bbq sauce and some pork from the ribs. Should be a decent meal.
I just started this on the stove. It looks and smells great. My wife was going to boil them and put sauce on them when I saw this video. I told her hey let me cook. Off she went. Let you know later if I did good or not. Thanks you

Hehe, over here in Germany we do not have sophisticated words for these cuts. As shown in this video, it's a "thick rib" or "Dicke Rippe" for us - well, because it's thick with some serious meat on the bone... A "thin rib" would be anything like Baby Back, Spare Ribs..:-) Nevertheless I like ribs Country Style cut so I have them tonight according to this recipe. Cheers, Bernd
Great !! I Will Cook my ribs along with Seasoning and my bbq sauce on Low, in a Crock pot for 6 hrs, leave the house Shopping, working for the day etc.. Come back to Beautifully Cooked Ribs, then put them Under the Broiler for Crispyness but Under a WATCHFUL EYE so they don't Burn. And They Come Out Ahhhhh Mazing !!! Take Care 😁

I am cooking this as I write and from what can see and smell...it looks like this is going to be bomb delicious. The only thing different I did is pureed a 1/4 pineapple and added it to the BBQ sauce. My RUB consists of dusting the ribs with 10 fold smoke powder, then coating them with mustard and rubbing them down with Paul Prudhomme's BBQ rub and let sit over night in the fridge. Doesn't sound like a poor man's preparation but I already had the ingredients so what the heck.

Does the pineapple juice help tenderize the ribs?
Yes but it also imparts a rich tangy flavor.
How long is the left over bbq sauce good for?
There's a ton of preservatives in there so it can easily last a good month or so, refrigerated.
II just did this for the first time. I guess I'm going to have to cut down the cooking time because mine came out extremely dried out. I still like the recepie and the taste was good but for the most part it was really dried out.
