That was the Houses job during the impeachment phase. They did their work fast and sloppy. They called 18 witnesses. They could have these witnesses then.
The House denied due process to Trump. Trump's people couldn't call witnesses or cross-examine. So now they want the Senate to do their job? Not a chance.
Bolton was asked to testify in the house and refused to do so. The house is generally the body that presents witnesses. Also, even if the worst case scenario was proven it doesn't rise to the level of impeachable offense for most senators. remember when Clinton committed perjury, no one doubted he committed perjury they just said lying about having sex with an intern wasn't enough to get removed from office, I agree by the way. Same with Trump except he didn't hold up aid to wait for an investigation, he released it in time without an investigation ever taking place.
