Congratulations on a job well done! You have created a home that is welcoming, modern but warm, elegant but not stuffy, and full of light. I really like your choice of tiles throughout the home, as wells as your classic colour scheme of creams, whites, pale wood juxtaposed with the anthracite/black metal. Your separate dining area with its seating area is a dream to entertain in and such a bonus with that already large kitchen that opens up onto that lovely patio. Being able to bring the outdoors in, both visually and physically with those folding glass doors is such a soul-good feature that will be enjoyed even on gloomy days. I also need to mention that your downstairs doors with their ridged design are a nice detail that elevates. May you enjoy making many wonderful memories in your new home. I think you have a talent for decorating and especially with being resourceful with your Ikea hacks. When you have your feet up on your sofa this winter, with your laptop open and you're peacefully looking out onto that patio, perhaps you might consider writing a book on this project that will be an inspiration to many who would like to do their own renovations but don't know where to start. I watch other influencers describe theirs and it's all brand names and designer this and designer that, and while there is absolutely nothing wrong with that at all, I much rather see Ikea 'hacks' that I can use in my own home if the result is so spectacular. Most of us I would guess are in the middle and cannot afford designer stuff, so this is great! Thank you for sharing!! 🥰

I know, I can hardly believe it has been 3 years either, time has gone so fast but we are so happy that we made the move as we absolutely love living in the countryside. It's great for the dogs with lots of open space for them to roam free and we live in a lovely little community that always has something happening ❤️

I love seeing how far you've come.❤ Those alcove windows are called dormer windows. In fact, a bungalow that has been extended into the loft and has one long section is called a dormer bungalow (my parents extended theirs in this way - gives normal head height on that side, not to mention more usable floor space.
This was actually our original plan when we moved in (to turn to whole back area into a large dormer), but then we decided we loved living on the ground floor and so couldn't justify the cost of such a project. We may end up doing it in the long run if we were to look at selling and it would be beneficial though 👍
Amazing! Amazing! Everything is so incredible and functional. The one thing i would do differently ( like no one asked, lol), would be to convert the pool room into a garage, it would be like a detached one, for the car, tools, etc. it would be functional, cheaper, and perhaps a great selling point in the future 😊

My style preferences are Mid-Century and modern. I absolutely love the aesthetics of your home. They are minimal and considered, as well as stylish and pleasing. I personally would like and benefit from an indoor pool (insert sad face here) however, I am certain what you have planned for that space is going to be beautiful and fit in perfectly with the rest of your renovations as well as your life. Ohhhhhh.....I am renovating my bungalow in the Essex countryside. I may mentioned........ Internal doors. I do like your black door, my floors are parquet and I wasn't sure if black door would look "too heavy" or out of place. I noted you and Simon have a mix of both. Oak and black framed, tying in the oak doors with black handles. Looks good! I like it!! My mind is made up - thank guys 😘😘
That dining room nook is perfect spot for a Xmas tree if you plan to entertain. Beautiful place. ❤ A self built video in a few years would be amazing, I can imagine you 2 designing a lovely house from scratch.
We would love to do a self build, but land is just so expensive where we are so it would more than likely mean relocating, although we do always have our eyes peeled, just in case that bargain appears 🤞
I must say..... I never love everything about a home reno BUT this i did..... the only thing I would do in my own home is add some subtle colored bedding in duck egg blue, peach, soft yellow , just to give a little color, but the neutrals throughout the house is amazingly beautiful, I LOVE IT
Great job to both of you. Always do a great job. 👏 Really like those sliding doors opening up like that compared to standard doors. I think having an entrance way is very important in a home not just coming right into the sitting room on your home door. Also a guest downstairs toilet sink is important aswell for guests also for yourself when one of you is showering and needs to use the toilet. Love these home renovations and videos. Enjoyed your last home aswell. Love watching these videos really enjoyed your last home too. I definitely prefer a home with upstairs not a bungalow person. Too scary sleeping at the bottom floor. Always love seeing the doggies too.
We thought the same when we first moved in and the plan was to always move upstairs once it was done, but actually we now love living on the ground floor and before moving I never thought I would say that 😆

I personally would like and benefit from an indoor pool (insert sad face here) however, I am certain what you have planned for that space is going to be beautiful and fit in perfectly with the rest of your renovations as well as your life. I have watched all of your renovation videos and am amazed at you and Simon's skills.

I do like your black door, my floors are parquet and I wasn't sure if black door would look "too heavy" or out of place. I noted you and Simon have a mix of both. Oak and black framed, tying in the oak doors with black handles.

A self built video in a few years would be amazing, I can imagine you 2 designing a lovely house from scratch.
We would love to do a self build, but land is just so expensive where we are so it would more than likely mean relocating, although we do always have our eyes peeled, just in case that bargain appears 🤞

I must say..... I never love everything about a home reno BUT this i did..... the only thing I would do in my own home is add some subtle colored bedding in duck egg blue, peach, soft yellow , just to give a little color, but the neutrals throughout the house is amazingly beautiful, I LOVE IT

Great job to both of you. Always do a great job. 👏 Really like those sliding doors opening up like that compared to standard doors. I think having an entrance way is very important in a home not just coming right into the sitting room on your home door. Also a guest downstairs toilet sink is important aswell for guests also for yourself when one of you is showering and needs to use the toilet. Love these home renovations and videos. Enjoyed your last home aswell. Love watching these videos really enjoyed your last home too. I definitely prefer a home with upstairs not a bungalow person. Too scary sleeping at the bottom floor. Always love seeing the doggies too.
We thought the same when we first moved in and the plan was to always move upstairs once it was done, but actually we now love living on the ground floor and before moving I never thought I would say that 😆
