Lewis' obsession with PlateUp is amazing. I love all the content that's been coming out lately. Really hoping PlateUp will be included in the Jingle Jam bundle so I can gift some extra copies to my friends!
@@caloob_ Depends on both of your internet. Though usually I use parsec instead because I have better control of the share settings and stuff in there
It’s funny jumping through the timeline of Lewis playing this game, in some videos he’s never beaten the game and hates the cheeseboard while in others he’s completed it a hundred times and loves the cheeseboard
This is what made the yogscast. Not anyone else. Everyone else is just cozy habit comfort. The natural social chemistry of Lewis' and Simons dynamic is pure gold and the viral component that led to the whole works of the yogscast. Without the pair( even as individuals by themselves) they would all be small time nobodies. They are pure gold and this is what does it all
I love how these two worked together, with Lewis maintaining total calm the entire time despite taking on all the sides he kept the pressure of Simon so he could get used to it, reminds me olden days when these two would show each other games
Simon: "I don't do well with stress " (Concerned about future performance) Lewis: **Already visibly stressed** Also Simon: **Wins first try (Granting Lewis his first win?)**
Simon's commentary towards the customers is just the internal thoughts of anyone who's worked food service. The amount of times I aggressively thought "I hope you get into a car crash" when I worked at Sonic is frankly ridiculous
I have a couple friends who absolutely fucking hate the Sonic franchise, and man, have we had some disagreements. We don't argue often, but if anyone brings up Sonic while I'm with either of them, we go *_off._*
man i didnt intend to comment again but its insanly great to see the two persons that introduced me to youtube to still play games together and enjoy eachothers company while so many other youtubers have lost contact with eachother. Man im just so thankful for both of you
I’m glad that Simon and Lewis became closer again. When I heard on the Triforce that Lewis and Simon drifted apart it was so surreal. It was one of those moments of “Yeah I get that, people do just drift apart sometimes but really?! You two dudes?!- it’s understandable but I love the duo!” I’m sure they’ve always been friends but I’m glad they seemingly reconnected in the past 3-4 years. Glad they could figure out there work schedule and get together! It’s probably a few years late due to PP but still, seeing them play together is a different story! Love them both and all of the Yogscast!

Wow this was so good. I've loved all the Yogs playing PlateUp and we have already seen later Simon plays but seeing the first one with just Lewis and Simon really takes me back and has a special quality to it. Brings me back to the beginnings a bit.

Haven’t watched these lads for years surprised to see they’re still going on. A lot of channels from that era have usually died I guess it’s a good these guys are still going and seem to be enjoying themselves. Nice video.
Trained by Briony and Kirsty, cut his teeth with Sips, trained Duncan and Osie from scratch, and fucked around with Simon, Tom, and Ben. Lewis is perhaps the most forged-by-fire (and bullshit) Yogscast Chef in Plate Up!
I will always watch simon and lewis videos. I love simons head in the air at the end of the video. Hes so precious. Love you guys and the editing is funny ❤❤
In Scandinavia we have a restaurant chain called Jensens Bøfhus that literally means Jensen's Steakhouse and they serve, surprise surprise, steak (amongst other things) and have an all you can eat soft serve ice cream bar, which is located in the middle of the restaurant. Which means, sitting and eating your steak with ice cream right behind you isn't unlikely at all! Just thought that was a funny little comparison :D
As a person who worked at a restaurant for 7 years now, I confirm: Simons are here, there are extremaly few workers who dont go "oh sheep, this crap again" on some specific order from the menu, most commonly annoying one to prepare and relatively cheap (so people order it more often)
First time I saw these videos on the channel I completely ignored them, looked like overcooked and I was tired of that game. But HOLY SHIT, I've been binging these for the past 2 days, and its so great. I love the roguelite elements/keeping and improving your restaurant as you go, definitely gonna buy this now!
This is making me return to the channel after not checking it out for a long time, by the way; the regular PP already sort of did, but the duo gameplay is what cinches it for me, perhaps the interaction is just less self-aware when they're actively doing something together. Just want to put in my feedback that this is great and to make it clear that at least one person (probably a lot more) from a different audience to the one that watches TTT, comes to this channel (again) because of this 'content'. Anyway; Simon being all nervous with these time-sensitive games is so re(p)latable but Lewis was like the voice of contentment and they ended up getting much further in their first go (no spoilers) than other people's first time playing this with Lewis, and it seemed much more effortless somehow too. Just has to be some of that inherent chemistry.
Releasing this video, which is apparently Simon's introduction to the game, after the previous video, where he obviously knew what he was doing, is an interesting choice. And by _interesting_ I mean kinda weird.
All the Yogs channels that have been uploading this game have scheduled the uploads a little weirdly, I think it’d just that they’ve been recording so much that they can be picky about which sessions they upload.
Some restaurants keep sous-vide'd steaks etc. (that's where the whole thing came from to normal home cooks) so they can just charr the surface and it'll be perfectly done.
I'm so glad we've been seeing so much of Simon again lately!
