Love the way Lewis keeps complaining that Ben isnt doing anything when at 43:23 he stands around for almost a minute with a dirty plate in his hands doing sweet fa. Such chaos
Real chef story time relating to 50:15 : I was a solo cook at a bar, and it was packed. Every table and bar stool was filled, and there were people standing with drinks as well. We were understaffed so the barbacks (bartender helpers) weren't able to run the food like they usually do. I had a huge line of tickets to get through as well as running my own plates. I finally got to the end of the tickets with my last two orders going out. I delivered one item to a couple at a table when the other asked where the food was (they ordered separately). I apologized for the delay as it was busy. I said "your food is done I just need to go into the kitchen and grab it." The person without food threw a huge fit how they both had been waiting an hour (it was only 30 min, I checked after this tirade), and they were leaving immediately. I again apologized and said I could box up their hot, cooked food if they still wanted to leave. They both got up and stormed out (you pay for your food when you order it so they paid for nothing). The rush was over so I went to the kitchen and ate their still hot food.
Tip: The sink makes the floor around it wet, you can put it next to hobs or anywhere you expect mess and it'll clean around itself while you wash dishes. I've found it helpful for early game in my solos.
16:44 Ben's idea of burning rubbish on a hob.. Imagine that, you're sat in a restaurant and some guy just sticks a bag full of rubbish on the stove and burns it 🤣
@@dekkonot Over 1100 C, apparently. Not even crematoriums can reach those temperatures, they have to pulverize the leftover bone bits to completely break down the body into dust. You need a straight-up industrial kiln that melts ore and rocks in order to fully burn bones.

It's hilarious to me that they've constantly complained about monitor issues for basically the entire history of the Yogscast, and it seems like they very infrequently do anything about it.
Pretty sure they got new ones months ago (as it's been mentioned how much better they are a few times), probably not all though, and I think Lewis sometimes records from home.
As a suggestion for a more difficult mode. You could increase the profit but lose money for food not sold or binned. Not sure if this is in the game already. Love to watch this either way
Being a chef i love watching this chaos, Lewis is definitely fibbing! We cook all our stakes to order, they take about 3 mins on each side to get to medium so theres no point prepping them, the chips and onion rings take longer, steak goes on last but comes out the fridge first.
I like how they need to be surprised by the customers wearing costumes every video lol, like "omg, there's this feature in this game we made and that i've played many, many times!"
McDonalds worker here. Even we don't have one of each *fully* pre-made burgers just sitting on shelves (though they're right that we do have trays of fully cooked patties that sit in a heated chamber ready to make into the burgs) BUT there is a chance you'll get a one that's been sitting at the end of the (heated) conveyor, if there's one spare from a prior order If you wanna make sure the one you get is made to order, customize it :D
Where I live there is a store where you can go to the butcher section grab a steak then go 10 meters to the left and have them cook it up for you. It's bloody well delicious.
McDonalds does not have burgers just ready. They are setup to produce them quickly. For instance, they have a bun heating conveyer and sauce dispensers that dispense the exact amount.
They used to though. That's why getting one without pickles took longer because they had to make a new one... but then I think they changed a lot of things after Supersize Me! came out.
I really like the way that the thumbnail indicates that the guy with the pumpkin on his head is supposed to be Ben is by having him wear a "FUCKING TODDY!" shirt. Perfection.
I worked at McDonald’s for two years. Everything Louis said about storing stuff for later is true. They have drawers of nuggets chicken sandwiches fish fillets and Mc ribs all stored there for hours. They do have timers to throw them out after a certain amount of time but bad workers won’t do that
Wow, this is the Yogs content I've longed for! I played plate up just bc it looked awesome, and I was so impressed that it was published by... Yogscast games????? And now I get to watch some dope yogscast gameplay of a game I now love. wow my name is Dave! Yognaut
The big corp is also going to be able to do a lot more for you if they do food poison you, although the litigation would be a lot tougher if you try to sue.
It’s 50/50, either they’ll make you fight more but you’ll get more money in the end or they’re more likely to just pay you off rather than draw attention to a trial Either way probably better than a local place
21:20 It’s called The Big Lez Show and it started as just a personal thing so the animation is kinda trash in the first season but it gets really really good
I think it's funny so many people are talking about "steak racks" when every restaurant I've ever worked in has a tight waste count, especially on high value things like steak. There's no way they'd risk even over prepping that much meat never mind cooking it to a doneness that may not even be ordered and will only stay remotely near it's intended doneness for about as long as the 'get' time anyway. Full grills all night sure, but you better believe it's all to order, as the bills come in, and god help you if you have to re-fire.
This is a great foursome of Yogs! Also, the “sounds like a mcsteak to me” bit reminded me of a stupid joke at my last D&D session. All it was was another player accidentally said memotions instead of emotions and I said, under my breath, Jason Memotions.
Though I overall love the halloween update yeah the trick cards are just.. weird. Most of the other 'bad' cards at least help you out a little bit ( hard food item = less customers ), but the trick cards literally JUST punish you with no reward. They should at least give large amounts of xp! lol
Duncan and boba are referencing the Big Lez Show and Duncan is right, it's super funny and pretty much made by 1 dude on TH-cam, please check it out, you will not regret it!
it's extremely taboo to over drop your line. having extra on racks is unheard of out side a barbq place. chances are if your eating ribs they are a day to two old. burgers loose any flavor after 2 hours and steaks get tough on a warmer in 30 minutes . fries last ten minutes btw
I've always been really happy since Boba joined the Yogscast. Most new members just kind of exist but don't participate and just sit back and remain quiet, but Boba always plays a very active role.
has Lewis ever been to a restaurant? Most places that serve burgers here in Canada cook them to order. If you are going to McDonalds, you don't really want a burger anyways, you want an imitation of a burger.
Yeah but of the two restaurants I've worked at, which were quite fancy, they DO have steaks/chicken constantly going. On a busy night, the whole grill is filled, regardless of whose is whose.

I always loved when I got to eat the shitty customer's food after they left/complained/altered their order.
So those are the customers that appear in this game. Where even the the food is literally enroute they choose to walk out.
The servers must've gotten quite a bit of tips tho.
Good, people like that don't deserve to eat
30 minutes really feels like an hour when you spend time with someone as terrible as you are.

the chance of that working reduces as grease piles grow so it's not foolproof but it helps.

@50:12 Lewis begging that customer to be patient was so funny! The desperation in his voice was too much! Hahaha
Duncan really needed to make the pie on the workstation, especially after getting the knife which handles the pumpkin part
Got Diddly Damn if this combination isn't the greatest culmination of personality, ineptitude, and outright sass. Love you all.
Always good to hear Ben slip sounding into a different show
100%, pies should either feed a whole table or be sliced which makes more sense to me. Same for cake.
Lewis is actually kinda right at 8:00, at the restaurant I used to work at we would pre-cook the proteins to rare for set menu large parties.
