Toaster mics really kinda set the whole mood, hasn’t been the same since.
If you close your eyes, it almost feels like nothings changed at all.
It means so much to see one of my favourite TH-cam channels since I was a little 'un playing a fan-game I and my bestie (Kruithne) created :). This video alone has inspired us to get to work on updating the game with the new locations (Neither of us had played since Shadowlands), and add what seems to be a much-requested feature - a scorebased mode. Glad you two seemed to enjoy it (and sorry about Shattrath, Simon!)

Getting not just the zone but the right questing area every time is impressive, especially Simon guessing Ashenvale. I 100% thought it was Teldrassill.
I thought it might be Darkshore.
I've created enough Night Elf alts to know that it was not a place in Teldrassill, but I did not play much in Darkshore or Ashenvale XD
I also was sure it had to be Teldrassill
Sarah's tomato red face during Jam still continues to inspire my inner well being.
There is another version you should try that allows you to actually move around like regular geoguesser and has scoring.

Every time they were just saying "screw it, it's around here" and then could have just looked for defining characteristics in the picture! That last place was RIGHT beside a 4 way intersection in the road... and they drop the pin nowhere near any. It's not always that obvious, but that one was VERY clear.
I've been binge watching their old playthroughs for nostalgia... seeing this blew my mind and my heart :)
It’s incredible knowing how well they know the world of Warcraft. Been playing it for years and I didn’t know half of these locations.
For anyone who knows the lore, the ruins are a dead giveaway. Teldrassil has only been around since post Warcraft 3, or in other words not too long before day 1 WoW on the timeline, so it isn't old enough to be covered in ruins. Had Lewis known this, he'd be right with Simon about it being somewhere on the mainland.
Been awhile since I saw the classic duo. Glad to see them together again. Made my day.

The Hillsbrad Foothills mine is a part of the "Battle of Hillsbrad" Horde quest line (and "Dangerous!") from Tarren Mill. I hate that I know that and that I recognised all the locations, even the WoD one.
I got into Yogscast in 2011 when Minecraft beta was released. I was 23 at the time and absolutely loved the Lewis and Simon Minecraft videos. At 34, I'm so happy and nostalgic to see them together and talking games (big WoW player) again. :)

There's some really obscure ones you would never go to normally. Like The Isle of dread in feralas, the Dwarven farm beyond the mountains east of arathi highlands, Hyjal Crater, Darkwhisper Gorge in Winterspring, Deadwind pass. So ofc what did me in was some horde questgiver in Stonetalon peak.
I'm proud/ashamed that I knew exactly where all of those locations in vanilla/tbc expansion were. Haven't played wow in so so many years lol

I feel like if you get the wrong zone you get no points, but if you're in the right zone it should give you points based on distance like in geoguessr

There is another one which is very similar to actual geoguessr, it scores you based on distance and there is even multiplayer!! You should definitely try it out and see who does best, maybe even invite other yogs!!

YOGSCAST world of warcraft... my childhood returned.
True story, I first started playing WoW on the Khaz Modan server because Simon would say "Honeydew of Khaz Modan" or something like that, so I thought that was the server they played on. Totally wrong, of course, but true and real.
That bought back some WoW memories and awesome to see Simon and lewis again!!!!
There's a version of this which is much closer to geoguessr called lostgamer. It has a scoring system, multiplayer mode and maps from a few different games (including WoW).

I came down to comments to yell at Lewis for talking Simon into choosing the wrong side of the Bone Wastes, but seeing Simon pick a spot *just* outside the circle in Shattrath Lower City, and then both improve significantly afterwards improved my mood again.
been a good 10 years since I stopped playing WoW, after playing since Naxx launched, and I had mostly forgotten how bad the old wow looked. Huge blast of nostalgia watching this - WoW was the reason I found the yogscast during the ICC days and watched most they've done since (and before)

Are you guys billionaires now? This is the first I've seen of you since early cata and the YogPod, and you're in a coloured lit studio getting other people to que your reactions with all safe professional editing. Honestly well done you've outlasted 99% of other content creators from that era.
I played this yesterday, and the sad thing is, the thing that fucked me over was I ended up with locations you really couldn't get to in Clasic, like Mount Hyjal and this dwarf farm / village to the far east of the Hinterlands

There is different version of WoW Geoguesser that works like normal Geoguesser that gives you a score based on distance. Though it does not have a map for Classic
