Can’t recommend the blood sworn saga enough! Definitely in my top reads of the year. Starting the empire of the vampire books next year and am really excited. I’ve heard nothing but good things!
Excited to see deadhouse gates on the list! I just finished gardens of the moon and I think it might be my favorite fantasy book I've read. I didn't think it was complicated like people say it is. Being left in the dark is just part of the story. I'm even more excited to start book 2 after hearing you talk about it!

Great list, not at all surprised by #1, lol. I finally started them, I'm a little over halfway through the first one! I get why you love it, lol, it's pretty epic.
@@SpacedOutReads oh yea, those are definitely Top 10 kind of reads. I'm usually reading straight into new years, so I'll be leaving it for next month, and I plan to do both top books and top series.
I also read a bunch of Robin Hobb books this month, and I think my top ones would include Assassin’s Quest (it was my absolute favorite of the Farseer trilogy), Ship of Destiny, and Fool’s Fate. Basically the last books of the first three trilogies lol. I also loved Blood Over Bright Haven by ML Wang, probably my favorite book of the year.
Very solid list! I can't fault First Law being 10. There's a lot of good books mentioned here. I'm excited to get to five Warrior angel and Empire of Vampire to be able to have more opinions on them and where I may cast them in this line up. Demon in White is amazing, I'm always for Kingdoms of Death. Everything in that book is top tier writing, Hadrian's entire journey in that singular book is absolutely mind blowing. About a week and I'll be reading Empire of the Vampire. I'm pumped! DCC for a book 1 introduction is honestly one of the best books I've ever read. It hits everything great, world building, plot, characters and pacing is probably the best of any book I've ever read. I'll be reading book 2, 3 in Feb and pre ordered 4,5,6 (hard cover versions) and will be reading them as they release. Super excited.

First Law is too low 🤪 JK Glad you're liking the series. I see a lot of people now (over)hyping up how dark it is (like a Bakker, GRRM or McCarthy), while yes its dark but its darker in its implications than it ever gets on page. Deadhouse Gates was when I feel in love with the series. Can't wait to restart my re-read. As someone who just finished Realm of the Elderlings on Christmas Eve, I can safely say its become my favourite completed Fantasy series... and possibly my favourite Fantasy series overall (hence I started a re-read of ASOIAF to see if that's still true). I'd say overall, my favourite of the series was Fool's Errand the first book of Tawny Man. Read it and you'll know why. If I'd to rank the various subseries: 5. Rain Wild Chronicles - Some rough parts but overall, very good. 4. Farseer - Can't wait to re-read Assassin's Quest now that I've more context. 3. Liveship Traders 2. Fitz & the Fool - I think I like Liveship Traders as a story more than F&F but I'm more attached to the 6 Duchies cast. 1. Tawny Man - Peak My other favourites: A Brightness Long Ago / Guy Gavriel Kay Wars of Light & Shadow 3: Warhost of Vastmark Memory, Sorrow & Thorn 3: To Green Angel Tower Mystic River / Dennis Lehane Lonesome Dove /Larry McMurtry The Winter of Frankie Machine / Don Winslow The Merchant & The Alchemist's Gate / Ted Chiang
