My recommendation for 2025 is split between my two favorite reads of 2024: «A Brightness Long Ago» by Guy Gavriel Kay (Fantasy inspired by the Mercenary Wars of Renaissance Italy) & «Imperium» by Robert Harris (Historical Fiction, book #1 in Cicero Trilogy about the Eponymous Roman Statesman)! As for myself, I am most excited to read two upcoming books in 2025: «Doom of Destiny» (Sundered Nation #3) by Vaughn Roycroft (Epic/Historical Fantasy inspirert by the Historical Ancient Goths and the Rohirrim of Tolkien, with a dash of «Dune») and «Written in the Dark» by Guy Gavriel Kay (Fantasy inspired by Medieval France)!

@@Axxis270 I 100% agree. Same with many popular authors. They are all great and their books are a blast to read. But there’s so much else out there 🥰 (also, I think the Brandon Sanderson love is a bit exaggerated right now due to book 5 🤣). I’m glad you enjoyed this list! And if you do like videos with less popular books and authors, that’s my jam. So, feel free to subscribe ☺️ fair warning though, I am going to read Mistborn for the first time starting January 🤣
For 2025 one of my top 5 picks is Infrequent Frequencies Rare Resonance by G.E. Poole. Award-winning non-fiction, highly topical exploration of science, mysticism and consciousness. Completely unconventional lens on everything, practical guidance for negotiating through the coming times of turbulence, great filters, impacts of AI and hope for humanity.
