  • In this video I show step by step how to change spark plugs on my 2004 Nissan 350Z with the VQ35DE motor. If you have the VQ35HR motor from 2007 years and on then the procedure will be slightly different and you will also need different part number spark plugs. I hope this is helpful and thanks for watching. If you think this is rad then like the video and subscribe to the channel, thanks a lot.

Great Job, Very professional and complete. The other videos I watched didn't bother to attack the passenger side plugs, I know why. Keep up the good work.

Left side easy but the right side saw that a line is right over a spark plug. Wasn’t sure if I was supposed to remove it but I was gonna do it anyways but just didn’t know what oils it had. But thanks for that.

Just completed the job replacing all six coils and plugs. The ole G is purring like a kitten again at 205,000. Was very pleased that all six spark plug holes showed no signs of oil leakage. Thanks again Bud.

Had to find my reading glasses . . . . . . the focus went out. Great video though. You're obviously a very patient man. Keep the vids coming. Have you done one yet on the powered seat gear ? They get mangled and chewed up after a few years. Plastic gears . . . . . .

Great stuff, I mean REALLY great. I'm going to make a test file for checking things off while removing/installing one plug at a time. Hard to watch video in the pilots seat and jump into the engine bay.. I see others mentioning anti-seize different metals in head and plug. Correct plug should already have this coating on it. I use racing plugs. comment on proper torque. 20 foot #s' is very little. Very nice Snap-on tools. You may want a 1/4 drive inch pound torque wrench. Plenty clickers on amazon. 20 foot pounds is close to lower limit on most 3/8 drive torque wrenches. Suggest you do not try to do by feel and past experience. Don't roll the die on this one. F'up and you won't be driving this week. Take care, wear gloves. don't assume coli packs are go or bad. Replace plugs and street test under (ahem) modest acceleration. LoL Sorry, I have never done "modest". velocity.

Anti-seize compound for steel spark plugs in aluminum head, galvanic reaction will cause plug to bond to head. When removing plug, plug threads in head can be torn out. Manufacturers do this when engine is built. Small amount but important.
