- This time I have filmed a crazy VW Golf 2 VR6 TURBO 4motion with around the 600HP during some dragraces! It takes action against a Audi R8 and 2 Dodge Challenger SRT8's! Let's the dragrace begin! I hope you enjoy the video :)

I wish this vid more consistent in it's filming. The VW is clearly leaving the line earlier than other car in the last two races, and with no wheel/light comparison it is impossible to judge. When you see it up against the first two Dodge's though, they are simply getting their asses handed to them off the line and getting spanked by that anti-lag turbo.

Volkswagen VR6 still has THE best 6 cylinder sound to date. You don't even need fancy exhausts for the engine to deliver that awesome sound.
I have seen stock VR6 Golf 2 who sound just as awesome as this, only a bit more silent.

i agree... i do get looks driving my low mileage Mk3 Jetta GLX... its just a beautiful sound.

How does it compare to the HGP Mark 6 with 730+ HP?
Golf 2 has a clear power to weight ratio advantage but no Launch Control or DSG.
right foot > launch control.
dsg will beat manual everytime, but it only saves a couple of milliseconds the difference in power to weight will most likely not end in milliseconds.

While your point can have some validity it's too obvious you know not enough about tuning VW cars. A clean but rare VW golf mark 2 in the US with a 12v or 24v VR6 swap plus a stg 2 turbo is barely $5k - $8k with the $8k being on the high side of a full rebuild etc. An mk2 golf weighs nothing so with the right Engine build be it a 16vT, 20vT or VR6T, it easily can run consistent 10 - 12's in the quarter mile if that's your thing.

A light car is much easier to get up to speed from a stand still(plus with that ridiculous power/weight ratio it only gets better as long as you have grip), and like I said before; better reflexes and training launches.
Also something to take note of, is that we don't know the details on the other cars and their drivers' skills.

Wist ihr was noch mehr ballert der Golf 2gti von Danny. Mit denen 1400 PS ist er von 0 bis 300 kmh schneller als der Bugatti Chiron und andere diverse Sport wagen. Trotzdem maschine. Leider fahre ich nur einen Supra Mk4 und einen Königseck agera. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Certainly I not want to sound like an Argentine who brags but in Argentina there was a Volkswagen Saveiro (although if they were 2) (pick up derived Girl Volkswagen Gol) prepared by Viturro (house preparation of vehicles 1/14 mile the Municipality of Quilmes, Buenos Aires) than 1/14 of a mile came down the 9 seconds. They were crazy and even went to Brazil to participate and won well.

I have a 2002 vw golf thatll do 160 and its all stock. It a 5 speed manual, and ive had it almost 9 years. Its a great car. And it gets great gas mileage!!!
