its running haldex / 4wd. He disable it for burn outs, as its a 60/40 split. You can see rear wheels spinning up at 1:40

Hoooolllly $hit! At first I wondered how you'd ever put the power down, but after run 2 was over, that little Golf was digging HARD off the line. Just the right amount of slip to keep stuff from breaking easily with too much grip. Sounds amazing, goes like.....like, wow

Really needs a diff up front. The rear doesn't matter with how the Haldex functions, but that front diff would help the launch drastically.

He just has an open diff. The wheel that's spinning is on the opposite side from the camera on almost every burnout.
Which is why I can't believe that a) he hasn't fried it yet, b) after spending the cash for those mods, he hasn't sprung for an LSD yet.
The car has AWD!!! He just forgot to activate (lock) it on the 2nd pass... If you see the next launches the car spins all 4 wheels. He is only warming up the front tires cause due to weight moving to the back the front has less grip.
***** , That makes sense. I was having a hard time understanding how he was putting the power to ground so effectively. I keep forgetting about these AWD systems that let them disconnect the front or rear wheels

Pretty good little sleeper. It's all wheel drive. He's running the car too hard, with a little more finesse the car can still perform awesome. It wasn't sounding too healthy towards the end of the clip.
