You still have a problem, you need a stronger brake clip on the starter and/or on the intermediate gear, your starter continue spinning !Good luck also with your voltage regulator, it should be mounted in a place where it can cool down more easily,
The grinding noise after start is because I've removed the spring that pushes back the gear to give it a little extra kick while starting. My starter gear is very well "shaved" so every penny counts to get the engine running. :)
You need to install your regulator/ rec in its original position(thats on back of the left passenger footpeg) , you need to clean well both the reg/rec and the footpeg and than add paste for the electrical parts to remove heat, if you don't do that your reg/rec is gonna get burned because there is no ground wire on it, the aluminium case is the only ground and it needs to stay connected to the frame
Took me 2 years to get to your comment, but I'll do the upgrade. What about the two black wires. Are you saying that there is no need to stick them to the frame and only the unit frame matters??

I can't find the right cord, the color you told me it was didn't make it, It makes the starter not disconnect
Which cord? The one that goes to connector. Or the one that is sticking out of the voltage regulator unit?
