The sheer disrespect of this ad on a PD3 update video was honestly hilarious. And I’m sorry Kknowley but this game isn’t coming back. 2042 didn’t and it had way more going for it than this.
Just as first aid kits only heal you, only medic bags can save you from being downed permanently. Payday 3 needs a medic bag because they got one more down before I quit.
Can we still hope ? Idk, I guess even no man's sky made an impressive recovery. But this was a passion project from a studio that respected its fans, which payday isn't anymore.
you know, since trying the payday 3 open beta and realizing i won't be able to run the game whatsoever i've had 0 interest in buying it, but damn if the way overkill keeps fumbling the bag in the most baffling way isn't engrossing. i'm really sorry you have to experience this, genuinely. i know what loving a game or franchise despite it having to fight investors and profit margins at every turn is like, and when it's something you think is really special it can really get to you. thanks for providing me with these updates, though; if nothing else, this situation is super interesting and i'm really happy to have someone rational & well-spoken who i can hear about it from. at this point i'm pretty comfortable saying i'd watch you basically no matter what you cover (unless it's helldivers 2, if i have to see another helldivers 2 clip montage in my recommended i'll go ballistic). i hope you're enjoying spreading democracy! i sure am :p
I'm getting some pretty harsh flashbacks to Imperator: Rome, another game from a mid-size Swedish developer that had a disgusting launch. They did nothing for a good long while, released a paid DLC that was recieved with the fury it deserves, then they went quiet and fixed the game over a lengthy period of time, releasing it all in one huge patch they labelled update 2.0, but it came far too late and the game was already dead, so the plug was just pulled shortly after 2.0. I really hope that doesn't happen with Payday 3. I know they're bound to release those 3 DLC heists, since we're a lot of people who bought the gold edition expecting 3 DLC heists within the year, but if they sink the game for it, that would suck majorly. I still think it has huge potential.
It would suck, we didn't want this for payday 3, but in the end it would fall on Starbreeze and OVK. Had they done the right call and delayed release for the year it needed, AT LEAST Half year (But clearly it needed another full year), we wouldn't be here today. Payday would've been well-received on launch, it wouldn't be dead, it would have a large playerbase, and any of the other issues remaining could easily be addressed, but it's like they basically have to "finish" the game with these "boring" updates that don't really do much but are basically needed and should have been launched with, so rather than focus on ACTUAL Content, we're stuck waiting on Basics 101 that should've been on launch. With all the complaints about devs releasing unfinished games for the past few years, I'm not sure how they thought this would fly.
@@WildWombats Unfortunately a delay wouldn't have fixed the game. It would've been less buggy, but the bugs aren't the issue, intentional bad design choices are. The dull progression was as intended, so was online only, the terrible UI, the lack of crime net, etc. It's not an unfinished game, it's a bad game. Which is far worse, there's clearly some people who care a lot on the team, the improvements to stealth and the shooting are massive and the new perk system is pretty interesting, they just made some terrible mistakes that completely sabotaged it. Hopefully they'll successfully walk it back before it's too late.
@@plebisMaximus I can't disagree with some of those things, but I do think let's say it was a bad game with intentional bad design choices for example. Well, they STILL lacked basic features that MOST games do launch with. Even if that in itself wasn't the fix, it CERTAINLY Would have put them in a MUCH better position to address these issues as AT LEAST the basics like a kick, ready/unready, voice chat/text chat, etc. would have most likely already been done given another half year to a year. Then, instead of focusing on that nonsense NOW, they could've brought all their focus directly to the actual problems you mentioned. instead, we now have to wait for them to fix what should have been in the game to begin with before they even GET to that point, which is only further fanning the flames.
@@WildWombats I hope you're right, it's a lot more charitable an interpretation of events, and I do agree it's beyond silly we now have to wait for features that have been considered bare minimum for ages now.
Helldivers 2 is my new go to 4 player co-op. Payday 3 and Dying Light 2 were so highly anticipated for me, I waited forever for them and was heavily disappointed. Then Helldivers 2 comes outta nowhere and completely steals our attention. I know there "were" server issues but man is it nice playing a complete game that's not a money grab at launch. I even got the season pass with in game currency. You think Starbreeze would let you buy heists with that shotty in game currency they got??? PFFFFT LOL
It wasnt even really server issues. The servers worked well enough but 500k+ were trying to get into a game designed for 150K max. And still those servers were upgraded in 1-2 weeks to fit 800K, it took payday 3 months to do that
My enjoyment for gaming has been a steep slope since the dissapointment that was Dying Light 2 at launch. It was LITERALLY my most anticipated game of all time since the first game is my #1. But games like Helldivers 2 are giving me a smidgen of hope that games are going to be on the rise, rather than scrape against rock bottom like they have been.
@@daskollektiv4593 Not onlythe writer but also devs in horrible work conditions. People who made E3 and 2021 build was also out of job because of that too
@@Spokenword A lot of people were expecting the game to flop, and enjoy hating on those who went in thinking that it could be decent, or even could be great. I saw people complaining about the teaser trailer saying how awful the game was when all they had to go off was a panning shot of the gang on the pier in NYC... I get it, Overkill has a reputation. We'd just hoped that they'd do more with this chance we gave them by rallying to support Payday 2 again. If I had to guess, one of the major things hurting them is having to develop for all platforms equally before making updates. I figured that'd bite them, and seeing how that was the cause for their lack of action for the first update, it very likely hasn't changed.
From what I can see, There are some very concerning situation going on at the game designer level. Before massive player feedback overwhelmed them, there are many good features that were cancelled, and many bad features that were not.
I am definitely not going back to the game now because in the AMA they said they are not working on weapon xp reworks. Apparently completing a heist within 3 minutes without firing a shot worthing more weapon XP than completing a 19 bag cook off and killing hundreds of cops is OK for them.
Its gotta be tough when your source of revenue rides on a game not being shit. Not like he had any say in the dev process so it sucks that yters get hit harder than the people making it. Devs still get a salary even if they release garbage, yters just suffer.
Reminder that Operation Health on R6 siege (the thing this whole update is based on) also sounded good on paper but the actual update itself was underwhelming and at the end of the day, the game was was fixed a year or 2 later after Operation Health happened.
Yep, largely because the operation health major fixes were on the backend where they finally had time to clean up a ton of technical debt/major impediments to improving the game. The game was much better for it in the long term, but it absolutely was underwhelming as hell to see the player side list of changes when the patch dropped.
First off, siege still isn’t fixed. Second off, operation health is overhated. It was actually one of the most fun time periods to play siege. It’s actually the season that got me hooked. Something about the buggy mess that was siege made it all the more engaging to me. Also bandit still had acog😥
PD3 Advertisement: "You can now... unready in the lobby!" CoD Advertisement: "The mini-map.... will display red dots when you shoot unsuppressed weapons!"
You guys remember when overkill used “PlayStation certification” as an excuse as to why they couldn’t update the game faster and more often? Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 pushed out multiple updates/hotfixes in launch week, showing that the excuse is total BS
If they fix it over time they may gain a portion of the playerbase back. Its a shame we get payday2 situation all over again, but theres a possibility. I assume some of the worse decisions like challenges were shareholders
@@tillburr6799 well yeah gaining back 50 more players back is still something. There were 20000 or something like that gamers in paycheck 2, DLCs while being sort of OP were reasonably priced, packed with content. We all thought we were going to get a great game from launch.
@@tillburr6799on launch, payday3 had the highest concurrent players. Like 20, 25k+. Within a month, it had dropped to like 5k a day, with payday2 going back up to its usual ~7, 10k a day. @@magicball3201 Payday 3 had 70k concurrent players at launch, and fell to 5k a day within weeks, and is now struggling to stay around 500. Payday 2 went back up to its roughly 20k.
The funniest thing is UE4 is a really versatile engine, and in theory would allow Overkill to make Payday 3 whatever they want it to be. This is 100% a developer issue, I'd be terrified to think of what they'd make on something like Diesel.
we have had 2 bugfixes and 2 major updates.. let me say that again, 4 updates in 6 months.. edit: not saying I want the devs to work overtime every day but this update didn't have much to look forward too considering we went 2+ months without an update. the next update will probably be a big one so looking forward to that. they can take however long they need to make a quality update but I hope it's something to look forward too
Oh thats actually not that bad. Updates takes time and 2 months between updates is actually really good pacing. The actual problem is just how barren the updates seem to have been.
I appreciate the coverage of these updates. Saves me from reinstalling the game every time something new is finally released, only to log in and find the same old husk of a game that isn't worth the storage space. Maybe in another year it'll be even half as good as Helldivers, right?
You can hardly blame the actual developers for TWD. The studio and leadership rushed that and put arguably impossible deadlines on the project (requiring an entire, ground up rebuild of the game at one point).
TWD was not the devs' fault. Starbreeze dumped all of its money into Valhalla, an engine that is not at all suited for game development. First the devs were forced to work with that thing, then they were told to switch to UE4 last minute. It couldn't have gone any other way.

Overkill's TWD was an actually decent game. The melee combat honestly feels like what No More Room In Hell should have been if it wasn't for Source engine jank.
Yeah after watching this I have no drive to return to the game. There’s no replayability whatsoever. After finishing all the heists I had no drive to go through them again. Like the skills don’t change enough about the gameplay loop, there’s no real progression, and I don’t feel like I’m working toward anything at all. I was so excited for this game and it’s honestly so sad to see this as a “major patch”. As of today, February 29 2024 there are only 575 active players on steam. Just insane
i don't know how devs that made payday 2 made this game it's so crazy. Even if the og devs left and new ones worked on it no way they didn't figure out what made payday special in the first place and why players kept playing it even though it's running on a goofy and buggy race game engine...
Helldivers showed me that server issues don’t need to take a month even with very little money. I got flashbacks when I saw “server at capacity” but it only lasted like a week
The difference is that Hell Divers 2 saw 40x the amount of players they were projecting to have. PayDay 3 knew they were going to have large numbers but didn't prepare for them
The thing that is making me laugh at this point is that if Starbreeze folds, payday 3 will be unplayable yet payday 2 will be just fine. Payday 3's succes literally depends on if people are willing to keep spending on it.
I will never understand how game developers are just unable to read the room. I remember during Battlefield V's life, DICE tried making jokes out of constant community complaints and it ended up being more insulting than anything else. We are not laughing with you, we are laughing AT you.
...yeah, the unready button is unaccessible when everybody readies up...was that not how it was in PAYDAY 2? Seems to me like they actually gave us something they needed to give to us and did it correctly. I'm just hoping they update more frequently so this sort of "hotfix" update becomes more excusable. They really got to start winning back the goodwill in the community.
i held off on buying pd3 waiting for it to improve. man am i glad i made that call as a long time pd2 fan, it sorrows me heavily to see this game struggle so hard to implement things that shouldve been available at launch
too little too late! i just cannot believe a company would leave release features missing from a game and expect people to just take it PLAION and Starbreeze executives who were behind these decisions should be fired
They really did blow it. They had no competition when it came out. But now helldivers came out and has taken the player base they need learn they have to compete with now hell divers for players

@@Radi_ncethe solution to the crunch crisis is not "release shitty, unfinished games" tho. it is undeniably good that the devs are not crunching like that anymore, but that means the game has to have more time in the oven. it is not unreasonable for players to demand a finished game at launch, with post-launch support going towards bug fixing and QOL improvements (and, ideally, cool DLC).
I love when Starbreeze announce an update as a big update that everyone should play at that moment, when there really isn't a big update. Also heard that the unready button was something requested by the BETA TESTERS even a month before launch. Payday 3 being crossplay has lead to these updates being slower as a result. Jokes aside, I'm amazed that despite being 6 years old RAID:WW2 before update 21 (I say "before update 21 because update 21 was made by community devs and did a lot that I can't write in a simple TH-cam comment) looks like it played better than Payday 3 does now.
Ah, I was just about to redownload it... nevermind then. It's still unbelievable how they thought that was a good idea at launch, even after LITERALLY EVERYONE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT.
Kknowley sounds absolutely crushed, bloody hell. I understand it of course, but it's really painful to see given how passionate he is when it comes to payday in general. There are certain types of people which every video game community wishes to have, the ones whose interest in the game is genuine and all encompassing. In the sense that they like the game as a whole and not just certain parts of it. Not only does Kknowley do the wacky challenge runs, but he was clearly very enthralled by Payday 2's bizarre storyline. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with liking a game's lore and not gameplay or wise versa, but it's very lovely to see such pure enamourment, not to mention rare. When Payday 3 was announced I will admit that I was only mildly curious about playing the game (my system can't really run it stably and buying an upgrade isn't in the cards), yet I was super excited about the game purely because I thought Kknowley would have more things to talk about, and his excitement was contagious. Most communities would kill for people like Kknowley, whether they're artists, video makers, dedicated shitposters, speedrunners, whatever. They can bring a certain wonder to the community. I'm not saying this to blow smoke up anyone's ass, they're just people like anyone else, but it's still really sad to see someone's passion deflate because of the way a game has been handled. Honestly, this entire situation with Payday 3 just leaves me sad and confused.
To be fair, this failure made me realize how many great games are out there. I completely moved on to completely different genre and don’t plan to come back
@@jackal8176 that's probably just me getting old XD I moved to simulations games (IŁ-2 to be exact). It's very slow, but also climatic, realistic and I love it.
i can’t sit and defend them but like i feel like these ridiculous small updates need to happen before all the other stuff 🤷🏻♂️ should’ve been months ago but i’d rather it now then even later
Not to argue cause I can kinda agree with you, but it's just sad how slowly it progresses. Unless we don't know and the studio just fired 99% of devsor there is just like 3 ppl debugging the game there is no reason for so little feedback from them. In this second option it's even more sad IMO; I personally don't care about PD3, it's just not for me, but starbreeze/overkill basically considering pd3 lost even tho community is STILL willing to give them second chances is just... At this point I feel like hardcore defenders of this game at its current state are people who paid, lets be honest, way too much for preorder super duper edition whatever and didn't classify for refund after it turned out mediocre. In the end it's always been like this with big games; sometimes projects grow to big for their own good and after not delivering you got something like this... Basically a zombie of a game.
This defense only makes sense if people are already playing the game and struggling with these features. But that isn't the case. Payday 3 isn't trying to preserve a playerbase, they're trying to recover one that has abandoned the game, and those players are watching what's happening and deciding whether to trust the developers with their time. An update full of ridiculously small changes, after months of waiting, sends a message to those players. Even if the game itself is objectively better for it, in the longer term, it does more harm than good if it drives people away from the game.
i like to think of it like an army. big flashy updates that significantly change the game are your armor, smaller updates and bugfixes are your infantry. either one can win a fight, sure, but in the grand scheme of things they depend on each other. if all you're releasing is bug fixes, you're not gonna get very far; if all you release is big flashy updates, what ground you do gain will be quickly lost.
You're right that this should've been part of a larger update, and Starbreeze likely thinks so as well. I suspect the only reason this patch released now is because whatever grander reworks they have in the pipeline are so far away that they thought it would be better to push literally anything out in the meantime. I'd call it a worrying sign if the game wasn't already absolutely dead.
You know they did one thing correct and that is give me time to play OTHER games. Playing this game feels like a chore and I feel like PD: The Heist is more fun then PD3 and that is saying something.
Payday 2 was pretty much nearly perfection, it's so disappointing that 3 is as disappointing as it is. The list of things wrong with it is too long to even detail but it's basically everything honestly. All around worse than 2 in practically every aspect and really just made me want to get back into 2 again.
I've lost faith with Payday 3 and Update 4 is sad to see, I can't get a refund for this game and being stuck with it untill it gets better I wish i can hide it in my library so I don't have to see it.
@tillburr6799 Yes you can. Right-click on the game in your library - "Manage", "Hide this game". You can also permanently remove a game from your library by requesting a deletion via Steam Support, though you won't get a refund for it if it's outside the refund window. To do that click on Help, Steam Support. Find the game you wish to delete and select: "I want to permanently remove this game from my account".
Are they doing anything regarding the season pass ? I bought the 6 month season pass, and for now, only one DLC (17€) has been released... The season pass was more like a scam pass...
It has been 4 months and still I can not hear the music, it is at full volume, it just cuts out after 10 seconds of opening the game and never comes back, even when I join a heist.
The thing that really makes me not want to play Payday 3 again is the weirdly enough the perks. I know what they are going for, but it just isn't fun to have to do a certain action, like vaulting, to do your skills for like 20 seconds. I have been playing a lot of Payday 2 again and it's so fun to make unique builds that i KNOW will work when i need them to, like being able to do more damage with pistol that are tied to concealment. Yes there is a gimmick, but that gimmick flows smoothly into other things like dodge build. Now take Payday 3, where you can set up your perks by vaulting, but there comes a lot of times where i either vault nonstop or very rarely. Most of the perks are situational at best and the really good ones are almost necessity and don't require much to get the most out of them. I would just like the perks to stand out on their own and not have to rely entirely on a status effect. Maybe it's just me that has this issue but to me it really rubs me the wrong way that you can't be as creative with your abilities like Payday 2
With the strike team announcement and the month of silence, I was kinda expecting for the company to realize that small updates won't revive the game and that they should instead focus on a large update with features that community has been requesting. However, they instead come up with Operation Medic Bag (which is very welcome in terms of confirming their intentions but at the end of the day is just text), and an update that we're been waiting for more than 1 month that adds so little it's rather insulting. What were they doing?
Lets be honest. Any talent overkill has/had left by this point or is being massively hindered by management. I can’t imagine they are happy with pd3s rollout so lets just assume that this is the best they can do as sad as that is. At this rate the game will never be worth playing over 2.
Honestly I wish Payday 3 would just be good. As someone who played a lot of Payday 2, I was really excited for Payday 3. But seeing it now? and it's possible future (40 buck game with 18 buck DLC packs and Microtransactions coming soon) and the only proof we have of it being improved on is a word and an Unready Button.
It is pretty disappointing to see how little is being added with this update, still holding out some hope but like many I don't play much ifany of the game these days and I'm still holding out for an update that's really gonna bring me back in more actively, time will tell when that sortovf update will release but I still enjoy playing the game here and there to get the experience but again like many, spreading democracy in Helldivers has been a nice breath of fresh air from the gaming landscape in general
STARBREEZE DEVS: please add the ability to convert officers, literally ZERO people want to play loud, just let me convert cops to my team so i dont have to have a moment of clarity about how trash the game is during a loud heist
even with an "unready" button you cant take a lobby hostage if the host can force start. host needs more control over their session; force start, force kick, and even a force abandon mission are par the course. sadly pd3 missed par by a mile.
Its like they never played pd2 or worked on it. This is all stuff they added to pd2 and worked on during its development, why it didnt ship with pd3 is beyond me…
I understand the perspecive of wanting the devs to "come back with a bang" (big update to swing things around). But if they have changes ready to go long before bigger ones, should they be artificially holding them back just to do a big update? Like is it better for the game or especially thr pople playing right now.
Payday 2 currently averages 22,000 players per month, currently Payday 3 averages 300 players per month. Personally I played all of 3 missions before quitting Payday 3, amd I currently ping pong between Helldivers 2, and Kenshi just to avoid burnout after grinding almost all of the first battlepass. Payday 3 isn't even in the rearview mirror, amd hearing the disappointing launch of Operation Medicbag just further incentives me to stay away and write off Payday 3 as a failure.
As it still stands, easiest way to get me to even consider buying Payday 3 is for the publisher to secure the rights to make Jacket a heister again. Til then, I'm sticking with PD2. (And probs picking up Helldivers, all the homies are playing it now.)
this whole situation just deeply saddens me man Ive been waiting and been hyped for PD3 for so long, I played it for a couple hours near launch before I realized how dull it felt just doing challenges to try and level up for better weapons and skills, or weapon challenges to even get attachments, or even attempting stealth in that state of the game. I don’t have a lot of hope that the game will pull through and that hurts man I want it to succeed but it just really doesn’t seem like it will, it looks like it’ll be a couple more months of “trying” before they scrap it and either go broke or make more dlc for pd2 to try and stay afloat. I hope I’m wrong and they turn it around but I’d probably just be lying to myself at that point 😔
the funny thing is, I was hyped for payday 3 so much that i was gonna preorder the gold edition or whatever it was... the ironic thing is that i had a change fo heart and spent the money on MW3's Vault Edition. Both games don't appeal to its target audience because both were unfinished. On another note, i think its time some modders made the payday 3 heists using some custom heist mod (i know its possible) for 2. It'll run, and it'll be enjoyable. I think.
Helldivers 2 doubled their server capacity in within 2 weeks of release whilst patching bugs hours after they were recognised. Payday 3 spent half a year making an unready button that still doesn't work as it should.
Cant believe they reset all my builds, now I have to remember what skills I had on loud, stealth, engineer, and explosives builds, I’m not mad about the update, something is better than nothing but I think imma be sticking with darktide a bit longer
The issue at its core is that dev studios have gotten far too complacent with releasing games in a half assed, half baked launch state. I honestly think they should have waited at least another year to even consider releasing Payday 3. Hell in regards to the menus and UI alone they could have used Payday 2 as a base and tweaked it to fit 3.
See this is actually the main thing keeping me from Payday 3. There is no playstyle that avoids resource management and resetting buff timers constantly. In Payday 2 those existed, take Stoic, but it was optional, with other decks that could also do as well on similar difficulties, the management was simple and easy to get your head around. That much micromanagement that Payday 3 forces on you is much more suited to a more tactical, slower paced shooter rather than the hectic objective based horde shooter where you are already managing 5 other things. It's overwhelming to a fault, and I'm not normally one to shy from games with many layers.
put 48hours into payday 3 and I have never returned. I got to around level 60 iirc and it was taking far too long and I already played all the heists, I would have gotten the rest of the achievements but I just couldn't bring myself to do so at all. I really do hope they can bring back PD3, and I do hope people will return when they do so, but I think its honestly over at this rate.
putting around 50h in the game while not even being able to max out your skill points for abilities that feel mostly unimpactful is a real charm isnt it
Techies need more visual language to find them imo. The hud flicker is barely noticable when you have other things to worry about. It changes the game to ignore everything but this small indicator.
I've kept up watching these PD3 videos to see how stuff is progressing in just a weird hope that it *somehow* gets turned around, but seeing it still being fumbled really doesn't help instill any hope that it'll be worth buying finally. At this point I'm really just waiting for Den of Wolves to hope it fills the role that PD3 should've since none of my friends want to even bother playing PD2 anymore with all the other things we got to play. But yeah at least Helldivers 2 has been doing great; given what I've heard about their engine/backend woes partially regarding server capacity, Arrowhead got that fixed pretty fast and I'm 100% ready for the first bit of new content.
Honestly, I can't help but wonder what's going on behind the scenes. Overkill has shown with Payday 2 that they are able to put out patches quickly but Payday 3 has just been insanely slow. I wonder if it's Deep Silver or something else but I can't help but feel bad for Starbreeze
I don't know for sure, but pushing patches for consoles usually take more time, since Sony and Microsoft are much more rigid than Steam, and since there's crossplay, they need to push it all together. Granted, I think there's more to it which we can only guess, but that it's definitely one of the reasons.
I think delaying the No Rest For The Wicked Dye packs with an ECM is really cool 10:10 All medic bags now restore 1 down by default, it's at least worth taking as a favor

you know, since trying the payday 3 open beta and realizing i won't be able to run the game whatsoever i've had 0 interest in buying it, but damn if the way overkill keeps fumbling the bag in the most baffling way isn't engrossing.
i'm really sorry you have to experience this, genuinely. i know what loving a game or franchise despite it having to fight investors and profit margins at every turn is like, and when it's something you think is really special it can really get to you. thanks for providing me with these updates, though; if nothing else, this situation is super interesting and i'm really happy to have someone rational & well-spoken who i can hear about it from. at this point i'm pretty comfortable saying i'd watch you basically no matter what you cover (unless it's helldivers 2, if i have to see another helldivers 2 clip montage in my recommended i'll go ballistic).

Do I have news for you about the newest vid
Imo imperator is abandoned by the dev but is being carried by the modding community, which I cannot say for payday 3
DL2 was huge disappointment but they do fix it slowly. I wish Techland didn't cut E3 and 200 page of cut content.

The game was much better for it in the long term, but it absolutely was underwhelming as hell to see the player side list of changes when the patch dropped.
jap, Operation Health is a meme. I'm not sure Overkill knows that...
First off, siege still isn’t fixed. Second off, operation health is overhated. It was actually one of the most fun time periods to play siege. It’s actually the season that got me hooked. Something about the buggy mess that was siege made it all the more engaging to me. Also bandit still had acog😥

Payday 3 is such a sad story and also just proves that the devs who worked on overkill's The Walking Dead turned anything they touch into garbage

Good video, nice summary of the patch.
Especially the presentation and comparisons of the skill changes.
We goin back to payday 2 with this one 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
They're celebrating updates that should've been a day one patch or at least the first week or month of release...
this whole situation just deeply saddens me man Ive been waiting and been hyped for PD3 for so long, I played it for a couple hours near launch before I realized how dull it felt just doing challenges to try and level up for better weapons and skills, or weapon challenges to even get attachments, or even attempting stealth in that state of the game.
Operation Medic Bag quickly turning into Operation Body Bag
the funny thing is, I was hyped for payday 3 so much that i was gonna preorder the gold edition or whatever it was... the ironic thing is that i had a change fo heart and spent the money on MW3's Vault Edition.
The update has completely reset all my loadouts and skills. Thank you starbreezr
@@finlaytemple1744 now you can go through and grind the game some more :)
When they fix the lobby/let me search for game not create a new game and wait for others to join I might give it another chance
Welp boys time to go back to Payday the heist until they fix the game
You express the community soo well, is very visible the sadness when you talk about the changes in the game, is empty like the Payday 3 lobbys
I really do hope they can bring back PD3, and I do hope people will return when they do so, but I think its honestly over at this rate.
putting around 50h in the game while not even being able to max out your skill points for abilities that feel mostly unimpactful is a real charm isnt it
After all the horrible balancing and gameplay decisions that went into Payday 2 its obvious Ovk/Starbreeze were always incompetent
Techies need more visual language to find them imo. The hud flicker is barely noticable when you have other things to worry about. It changes the game to ignore everything but this small indicator.
They just should’ve delayed the game
0:08 i love a double barrel shotgun that shoots 3 times and loads 2 invisible shells
I really want Payday 3 to succeed and be good, but I'm not sure if Payday 3 wants the same
I'm still holding on to faith. I'm not currently playing the game, mind you, but I'm still holding out for it to get better.
I think delaying the No Rest For The Wicked Dye packs with an ECM is really cool
10:10 All medic bags now restore 1 down by default, it's at least worth taking as a favor
