What a beautiful day for a drive to Fussen. I recently made the same trip but in the opposite direction. It was snowing at the time so didn't get to see as much. More fun watching from an armchair drinking coffee. Thanks for sharing your video!

What month was this filmed? I’m going at the very end of April/early May and will be driving this route or close to it. I’m hoping for similar weather and as much greenery.
Ewa.
Nice video. I'll be going next week and am super stoked! BTW, just a little tip, it may be a little more "watchable" if you were to add some background music instead of the wind. Just saying. :) Thanks for posting!
Ms. Vixen Yes, he did drive through Austria. That's the shortest route from Garmisch to Neuschwanstein via Lehrmoos-Reutte-Füssen. The border into Austria was crossed at 12:33, and back into Germany at 54:30, where the yellow German city limit sign stands.
AML2000 You'd think there'd be more of a sense of occasion wouldn't you, not just a sign with "A" on it, that you could easily miss and not even realise you are.
AndreiTupolev With the Schengen agreement there seems not to be any border controls anymore in the continental EU. Looking at Google Earth, I can see that the actual border is at 12:31, and the wide spot in the road to the left is probably where the customs post used to be. Meanwhile, going back to Germany, the border is actually at 54:28, where the many starred EU sign is (and a little post on the ground with a red tip). The sign is blurred, but I suspect it says "Bundesrepublik Deutschland" The buildings just across the border may be the remains of the customs station there.
@@s.h.5323 As a trivia note, the term Austria for Österreich dates from the documents setting up the area in the 900's. The document was in Latin, and Austria is the Latin term they came up with. Austrians themselves even use the term, that's why their car plates have an "A" on them! I'm confused though. Are you trying to say that Garmisch and Füssen aren't near Austria? If so, I can assure that you are wrong. I did the same route on a tour bus in 1970, and both cities are right on the Austrian border . The Zugspitze, which is 2,962 m (9,718 ft) high, is near Garmisch, and you can walk to Austria in a tunnel in the mountain.
I bet you wouldn't believe there are more Porsche's on Asian roads nowadays.. place like Hongkong, Singapore, Beijing to name a few... Porsche's made more money selling cars to Asian nations this decade and few more decades more I suppose..
Actually, you'd be surprised. I have found out that most Porsches are becoming more and more common on roads. A few of the very very extreme ones being exceptions. But the Cayenne, Boxster, Cayman, 911 and Panamera variants are more or less......getting everywhere.
Phoenix Drake I stand corrected then, yes you're right.. perhaps Porsche do not limit production, like what lambo or Ferrari does come of think of it, why limit at all when the market is there up for grabs.. there are more ppl willing to buy their products, especially those newly rich economy nations.
Well, they are somewhat limited in production when compared to other manufacturers. But they are more common than most people think. Particularly around big cities and of course, in their home country of Germany and it's neighbors.
Well, that depends on the model. Cayman, Boxster, 991(Carrera, Cabriolet and Turbo), Cayenne, Panamera....these are all between 85 and 120k new in the US. Some are a bit more like the GTs on the 991 and suped up variants of the others whereas others....like the 918....are astronomical. And that is just the current models. Older ones do retain their prices somewhat, but they do drop down quite a bit. And only the Carrera GT and 959 really maintain those astronomical prices.
Неплохо "покаталась" вместе с вами! СПАСИБО 🤓
