Bill Burr was mostly a writer on the Chappelle Show. He was in front of the camera on few of the bits, but his main gig was writing for the show... This is a brilliant skit and a magnificent concept.
When he yells "ungawa!" That's a reference to the old Tarzan TV show. He would yell ungawa at the animals. Kind of an obscure reference, but brilliant writing.
That bit went over most peoples heads 😂🤣🤣
Bill burr got his start right there on the Chapelle show, writing for the show and from time to time being apart of the actual skit like this one and he’s been a legend ever since, thanks to Dave
If I recall, Bill Burr said once that Chapelle was the first successful comic to support him when he started out. He said whenever he was struggling he reminded himself “Dave Chapelle thinks I’m funny!”
Elian Gonzalez was Cuban. When he was 5 years old, his mother and some other Cubans tried to emigrate to the USA on a rubber raft. Everyone drown but Elian was found floating in an intertube off the coast of Florida. He was taken to US hospital for treatment. His father demanded Elian be sent back to Cuba to be with his family. Eventually, he was returned to Cuba.
Other than the finger waggle, the Elian Gonzalez joke is the best one, imo. It's such a deep cut.
Never forget that chilling photo of heavily armed federal agents pointing weapons at a cowering little boy who had been hidden in a closet by Miami members of his family that took him in. Photo won the Pulitzer Prize. It can be found by searching "Elian Gonzalez photo." He was caught in a political firestorm between the US and Cuba. Anyone interested should search for his bio. He is now 30 yrs old and an industrial engineer and politician.

Elian Gonzalez was found as a young boy floating in an innertube 3 miles off the coast of Florida alone. His mother and her common law husband had drown with a group of other Cuban exiles, who were trying to reach the US. He was found by fisherman and handed over to the Coast Guard, who took him to a hospital in Florida to be treated for dehydration and other injuries. He went to live with some relatives in Miami. Later, there was a custody battle that involved the US and Cuba, as his father, who still lived in Cuba, wanted Elian back. Eventually, he was returned to his father in Cuba

It’s so weird how people talk about race, it’s almost impossible to be half Jewish. Most Jews are predominantly something else, whether that be European, Ethiopian, North African, Iraqi etc. I’d be shocked if the average European Jew had more than 10% Middle Eastern DNA that connects them to the Levant.
