I love your Olympia sticker! But it's cool to see when you got your mug. After your coffee coaching I think I'm ready to try light roast. Like you I used to love a dark roast. Especially with half and half and/or whipping cream and/ or bordens. Nowadays I have lost my pure pleasure drinking my coffee. Switching roast sounds like it may be a solution 😊
I'm a tea drinker, I don't drink coffee, but I find it interesting when you mentioned the different roasts, it's supposed to rain up here in the AZ white mountains for the next 6 days
When I was working I am obsessed with coffee so I would buy every gadget to make coffee, odd coffee pressers, grinders cups and flavored coffee. That was years ago. I still love the small of the first cup in the morning. 😊😊

I have had every therapist I've seen for the last 3 years ask me if I have anxiety and I have never been able to answer that question because my answer has always been "I don't know. I been enjoying using a metal perculator,,,its a bit longer to make but the smell and sound of my coffee being made is the best! i have had Olympia coffee years ago and its very good. Have a most enjoyable week. Stay safe,
Im really picky about what i drink out of, top tier would be a glass mug, then the standard ceramic mug. I avoid plastic and metal mugs because i can taste it. Unfortunately my preferences are heavyweight for vanlife 😂
The quality of the stainless steel is key. Lesser quality stainless does indeed impart a taste. That’s why I use a good quality stainless steel kettle. The kettle matters just as much as the cup. Ceramic is the best. But also the ceramic mug that I broke recently cut me as I cleaned up the shards!

I wonder if they grow the beans next to blueberry bush........hmmm...something interesting to think about. I like the way you turn coffee into a Coffee 101 class at school. Its fun to get down the bare bones of anything i think. And lord knows I love my coffee as well. Electric percolator has been my fav for a long time.....but I use other methods as well just for a change. Need to get a grinder though. Thanks for sharing.

I was actually making a cup of coffee while watching your vid but I am a complete amateur. You explained why my coffee tasted sour and I thought it was supposed to taste like that. Didn't like it. I am going to try again with brewing freshly ground coffee beans instead of instant coffee. I looked up Black Oak and they deliver. Perhaps when I feel more comfortable making fresh brew coffee, I will order some from this company. ☕️
Happy to help. I always recommend finding a local coffee roaster, if possible. Local, fresh coffee will always be better than something shipped from far away.
Great coffee video. I see you had a natural processed coffee. I usually prefer natural or honey. But I'm still in the very beginning of brewing and tasting. I usually can't taste the different taste nuances, I believe that my senses are somehow not well developed. But I don't mind. Possibly or likely even rudimentary senses kan develop and improve. I did not know the issue with the temperature of the water in regard to the roasting of the beans. Thanks for that advice. Interesting too was your comment on the opening diameter of the cup. My regular preference is for washed coffee. These natural processed coffees can get a little funky. This coffee has a very mild funkiness though. I’m always a little nervous when buying natural processed coffee
Not strange at all, just bought a Staresso Grinder with an Aeropress, did the reverse method and had probably one of THE best cups of coffee I've ever had....with heavy cream of course! Thankyou!
Apparently Black Oak does sell online. But I always recommend to buy coffee from a local roaster. Freshness is key with coffee. I bought the new mug at a Food Coop
Yes, I have the AeroPress Go which doesn’t come with the funnel like the full size AeroPress does. The Go version does come with a plastic cup that fits the AeroPress’ perfectly. But I don’t care for it.

Hi Frank. I’ve pretty much covered all of your questions in various videos. Vanlife is definitely doable for a long time. I’m well past middle age and have been living vanlife for over seven years.

I don't always go by the "use by" or the "expiration date." I look at the creamer and smell it, then taste a little bit first.

I wonder if the maple syrup and blueberry tones in that coffee spikes your blood sugar or insulin? Normal coffee is a blood sugar freebee.
No, these aren’t added flavors. These flavors develop from the drying and roasting processes
I find the aeropress is in tandem with the french press .
I prefer filter coffee and that’s the biggest difference between the two
