I’ve been going through some rough times. But today I’m determined to turn this around. This morning I made breakfast with some cage-free eggs. And I got out and walked around a little to set my day off on the right foot. Then I spent some time at Thorpe Park. I also was able to pick up an Amazon order that I had been waiting several days to receive. Since I’ve been experiencing elevation sickness while in Flagstaff, I made plans to leave the area.

My name is Scott and in 2015, I bought a Ram ProMaster City to live in. Even though I didn’t know much about RV’s and campervans, I set about building the van out as a minivan camper. And in April of 2016, I moved into my minivan full time.
Over the years, I’ve learned you don’t need to have a big skill set to build your own campervan. And that living as a minimalist and utilizing solar power can be a less expensive way to live. I’ve also learned that a minivan can be a very comfortable home.

We're skinny too & if we don't eat we don't feel good , because we been pushy with our nutrition over the the yrs , people's have been pushy with us & it's all we had to be pushy back , so we did, 💝

Stealth? No. I haven’t figured out what that is. I was mostly parked somewhere around the city. I did some dispersed camping outside the city. But I was feeling so poorly that I wanted to stay in town near services.
Scott- I really do appreciate how you take us through your day(s) and your decision making. Every day cannot be a ‘great day’. That’s the same as us. Thank you for your willingness to share your less-than-great days too. I understand your frugalness and your limited space. Scott, Your a good problem solver. Your skill sets for sorting things out and facing challenges are remarkable. Don't stress over a bill or two. Just pay a little bit on each one until you catch up. If you get a win fall pay everything off. Reduce fuel consumption by finding an interim place to stay where fuel is least expensive. Keep living your best life.
As I’m sure someone else has noted, water boils at 92.8 degrees Celsius in Flagstaff. Loved the opening horns. This comment commands you to start feeling better.🦋
Yes, I realized the elevation effects of boiling later. But I’m compelled to leave in the clips that show I am a dunce because this is a vlog of my day. Haha

Elevation sickness is no joke. Had it in Nrderland, CO. A little health food store up there had some tablets that really helped me. Don't recall what they were called. Going to s lower elevation will help. Sorry you aren't feeling well.
I lived in Nederland for years and used to see those who came up to us who would just be sick with nausea and what seemed like hyperventilation behavior. We found that the best thing was to exercise. A brief hike in the mountains, chopping wood etc would help alleviate the symptoms much more quickly. Laying around only made it worse. Its amazing how well developed the lungs are on those that live in the high country.

The Good news is....there are literally thousands of divorced women out there who would kill to Husband you up! Keep in mind you'd have to cook daily for her and the girls night out crew but you'd have a roof over your head with all the hot water you could use! Glad that you’re getting out of the high elevations, can’t say you didn’t give yourself time to adjust but it wasn’t happening so I can see why you’d get a little cranky. You really have spent a pretty significant amount of time away from CA and with the gas prices I don’t blame you.
Arizona has been a surprise. It’s a very nice place. Flagstaff especially.

Took a tram up to 13,000 feet in New Mexico. It was like being high. Light headed after just a short walk. Amazing. Hope you feel better soon.

Man, first of all: I hope you'er doing better in your new location - both regrading high elevation and heat. Second: I just love following you along in "a day of your life". As it is, commenting on whats happening, having your daily routines, reflecting on stuff and food and preparation and what not. This is wonderfully relaxing. Today I had a packed day (for a sunday) by picking up used tires for our Defender at a price I couldn't resists. But it was 220 miles overall and I noticed I've gotten kinda driving-lazy in the last two years of home office work (wouldn't want to call it "mobile work", since from the point of view of NOT driving its not really mobile but rather static... - a concept that might sound familiar to you :-))
All the best and I hope the unpleasant expenses will be sortet out soon. Btw, did you mention the type of work you do besides YT? Would be cool to get to know what stuff you have to deal with on the other side of the income-moon. (if thats fine for you of course). Thanks and take care!

I didn't know Flastaff was that high, about 7000 ft. It's still nice an cool up in the northern states, 50s and 60s. The occasional 70s.
When I was told Flagstaff was higher than Denver, I didn’t quite believe it at first.

What a dilemma you have! If you can work in CA then that will offset the gas bill is my thinking. But it will give you lower elevation and temps. Also, gas price for your channel can be a tax deductible expense. I like your little kettle, cute! I’m cutting back in eating eggs as I recently found out that they can be xenoestrogenic which bothers me quite a bit. Same with coffee. What a downer. That’s one of my favorite towns. It was good to see how you felt better after eating. Good luck with soy free eggs. I also avoid soy. I look forward to finding out where you landed after Flagstaff. I’m keen to hear more reviews about the electric kettle because I’ve been looking for one. Yours is also very pretty in those colors with gold tones. Hope you found a balance. Northern AZ is either high or hot. Can take two weeks to adjust to major change in elevation. So much forest north of Flagstaff. Also seasonal jobs in and adjacent to Grand Canyon NP. Good luck.

Maybe later you could get a set of carving knives and whittle yourself some kitchen utensils, kuksa cups, little people and animals, chip carving things or relief carving pictures, and you could carve to make alittle mo ey too. I buy used books from amazon, so my library doesn't cost too much. TH-cam helps with learning and understanding. Just an idea to help take your mind off things and you could take them with you most everywhere. Hope you soon get to feeling better. I started learning to make California rolls, I want to make your tortilla recipe but keep for getting. Hang in there.
I get migraines at high elevation
I had trouble in Tierjas NM a couple months ago. I was ok in Alb. but another thousand feet did it to me. On Eggs: An egg farmer told me that you don't refrigerate eggs until you wash them Once they are cleaned up they have to be stored cold.

When a person pays for premium, ad free TH-cam, do you get paid? I've been presuming yes, because after all they get $ from me and I don't have to skip ads. In the future, if I drop that, it's good to know that I should watch the ads on sites I want to support.
I guess it would be too much $, plus 1 more thing to carry if you got a finger tip oximeter? I carry one every time my lungs are giving me trouble so I know if I just feel bad or am in trouble.

Back in Big Bear I was mostly suffering from dehydration that led to the elevation sickness.

It’s pretty simple plumbing with a 12 volt water pump.
Hi Scott, just came across your channel. Sorry you were not feeling well, hopefully you are better now. High altitude sickness can be very brutal. Wanted to let you know that while living in Colorado I discovered liquid oxygen. I purchased it at a health food store in Colorado Springs called Mountain Mommas. It helps with altitude sickness very well. In addition drink a lot of water as well like you did. I bet Amazon may have it for purchase for future visits in the higher country. Have safe travels.

I am also very picky about eggs. I can't eat the cheap normal ones anymore... they taste so chemically compared to the fancy free-range ones.

Good eggs are better. Ever notice the nasty egg smell. Doesn't happen with good quality eggs. Do a smell, taste, yolk color comparison, over easy don't break yolk test and you will know the difference. Natural Grocers high quality eggs 2 dollars a dozen.

I’ve personally been really lucky re. Elevation issues, I’ve been to numerous heights in the world including around 17000 ft in the Andes, where i worked when i was over 50, luckily with no issues…

I lived in Texas for a while and what you made for breakfast they called migas.... basically some sort of tortillas, eggs, salsa, cheese... Was a great breakfast! 👍
For guy who lives outside of the norm of everyday life and suppose to have a free and fly attitude 😉, I found you very sad, sensitive 🥺 picky and extremely 😠 cranky. Are sure this life style specially being this cramp is the right thing for you? Don't you think that see a therapist and get to the root of your issues is better way to deal with yourself rather than trying to hide it or run away from it and then make you tube videos telling others how good you do when in reality you are not that happy!..? Because after watching almost all your videos I see you nothing but relaxed and constantly worry, in motion and some what irritated 😤

My husband that died couldn’t have energy or breathe well in high altitude turned out that his heart wasn’t doing very well and he did much better at sea level so we quit going into the high mountains and just went to see level and that made all the difference and he lived long time after that winter couldn’t get up in the high elevation toilet oxygen is lot thinner

Fried corn tortillas with eggs are So Good. It’s a great way to use up stale tortillas. Which is what I was doing.
Yeah, we call them chilaquiles. I slice onions, and sometimes sprinkle parmesan cheese, on them when done. If I don't have any other type of cheese.

Being in Australia I didn't understand your comments on not feeling good while in Flagstaff Arizona. So I looked up air quality in Flagstaff. I am now educated.....wow, seems a lot of people have problems with the air there. 👍🇦🇺
I’ve lived most of my life at sea level. So whenever I go to a high elevation, I struggle. The air is definitely thinner
The eggs looked good! I don’t eat much eggs but when I do I like to know exactly which hens provided them and there names so I got my own hens who free rang e and eat there he grass😊 best eggs…… I’ve recently switched to a iPhone from my android and it really sucks because it never never does anything when I swipe or try to click things so I do End up letting your ads play because I’m tired of fooling with it it’s no big deal it seems beautiful out there I hope the elevation it’s better once you leave

Hydration is important at altitude. I live in Colorado (though a good thousand feet lower than Flagstaff) and I'm sipping on water all the time. I tell visitors coming from sea level to carry a bottle of water around with them. Are you drinking enough water?
Like I mentioned in the vlog, I’ve been drinking more water than normal. My normal is about a gallon in cooler weather. Plus I’ve been drinking coconut water when needed.
Gotcha. Must have missed that bit. Yeah, sounds like just a bad adjustment. It can happen to anyone. Someone can travel to altitude ninety-nine times without issue and then that one time, they feel it.

It takes weeks to acclimate to altitude. The air is cleaned by rain. No rain no clean.
Being from Minnesota, I have had altitude sickness. It is no joke.
