The first gospel named Matthew, derived from Hebrew "matti/gift and yahoo/god" tells us that Matthew's job which was a "TAX" is collector is the "gift of god". With an alias "Levi that sounds like levy", Jesus which the Roman "EMPEROR" called god was depicted as saying, "Pay to CAESAR what is CAESAR's, pay to god what is god's, so *2 TAXES". In Luke, Jesus was born during the time when Quirinius carried out a "CENSUS", a method to register every subject as a "TAX PAYER". In the same book called Luke (meaning "light" or en-"light"-ening), Jesus was portrayed as saying, "even the very hair of your head are all numbered". Today we see who is who use this "IMPERIALIST LAW" and use one of the political systems namely "THEOCRACY".😂😂😂😂😂

@Mr_Porter There are a lot of things in our own society that are really hard to justify too, but some keep doing them or tolerate them or demand laws to enable them. Some of them aren't really mentioned in the Bible per se so do we automatically assume they are condoned by God? I don't know. Seems like we hear what we want to hear as far as doing what we want to do - and disregard what doesn't 'tickle our ears'. But the Bible does give us this very wise advice as societies move into 'new territory'. ““I have the right to do anything,” you say-but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything"-but not everything is constructive. I’m convinced the gospels were attempts to record the same story from verbal to written; just like those historians - Herodotus, Thucydides, Tacitus, Plutarch - who wrote about events they were not at all around for yet their word is often referred to as it was the only written history at the time. The difference is we find evidence that the events these historians wrote about that are also referred by other sources such as court historians who also recorded an event - example is the Chinese fleet that went around the known globe at the time before China went into isolationism and burned its fleet. The issue I have with the gospels and the Bible at large - is they attempt to make a historical footnote using known empires at the time (it’s my opinion it’s to defame them). I refer of course to Egypt in the Old Testament and Rome in the New Testament. Which are the worst examples to use as both empires were ridiculously meticulous in the written word and preserving their empires for eras to come. Yet not one mentions any the events the Bible states. Maybe it was the empires dictating what should be written - but again the religious choose the wrong empires to defame - especially with the movie Prince of Egypt that puts a name to the unnamed pharaoh of the Old Testament: Ramses. The warrior king, the pharaoh most likely to paint any defeat as a victory - all because the religious thought, in my opinion, needed to humbled even in death. And the Roman’s….propaganda experts - would’ve written far and wide they put down a prophet who attempted rebellion. All we have connecting that even is a single governor Pontius Pilate - who has little to no accounts about putting down specifically a prophet named Jesus nor any events which the dead roamed the streets, the dead fell from their tombs, and an earthquake after Jesus died. - It’s fanfiction. A handful of stories that’s good for telling around the fire and cracking open a cold one after hours of herding sheep.

A genetic disease like Down Syndrome is the same way -- no amount of prayer is going to fix the problem. God is supposedly all-powerful. Therefore, God can do anything, and regenerating a limb (and everything else I mentioned) is trivial. God is supposedly perfect, and he created the Bible, which is his supposedly perfect book. *In the Bible, Jesus makes very specific statements about the power of prayer.* *Since Jesus is God, and God and the Bible are perfect, those statements should be true and accurate.* God is supposedly all-knowing and all-loving. He certainly knows about the plight of the amputee, and he supposedly loves this amputee very much. God is ready and supposedly willing to answer your prayers no matter how big or small. All that you have to do is believe. He says it in multiple places in the Bible. Surely, with millions of Christians praying, at least one of them will believe and the prayer will be answered. Many believers will say, "God always answers prayers, but sometimes his answer is 'no.' If your prayer does not fit with God's will, then God will say 'no' to you." This feels odd because God's answer to every amputee is always "no" when it comes to regenerating lost limbs. *Jesus says, "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."* *He does not say, "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it, unless you are praying about an amputated limb, in which case I will always reject your prayer."* *Jesus also says, "Nothing will be impossible to you," and regenerating a limb should therefore be possible.* The fact that God refuses to answer every prayer to regenerate a lost limb seems strange, doesn't it? God has no reason to discriminate against amputees. If he is answering millions of other prayers a day, God should be answering the prayers of amputees too.
I read that Aslan the Lion God sacrificed himself on a stone altar. How do we know that the Chronicles of Narnia are NOT true, while believing that the bible IS true?
I laugh at how theists ALWAYS cite the KJV bible, which is the worst one to cite ironically. Why not cite older versions, such as the Vulgate if you wanna make a point? Theists are funny.
@@ZeitgeistOmega Most people aren't fluent in Latin, so that might be why they don't cite the Vulgate. But there are better English translations out there than the KJV. But these guys think that the affectation of the writing reflects the language of the biblical times. Interestingly, the language that they used was archaic even by the times back then. They purposely used this archaic language to try to give the Bible more authoritative sound. And it was not at all popular back then.
@@ChallengeYourBeliefs Funnily enough there's an argument to be made that Shakespeare's plays only survived because they're in similar language style to the early KJV versions.
@@ChallengeYourBeliefs point taken. I referenced the Vulgate because, with modern technology, we can get a more accurate translation even if you don’t understand Latin. I also agree about your point of using archaic languages to give a text a more authoritative feel, so to speak. Even if it wasn’t popular back then
@@ZeitgeistOmega For a start, because the Vulgate is NOT a good translation of the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures. It is also better than some more "modern" versions. The thing is, you need to know the difference between "thou shalt" and "thou wilt".

I'm sure he has a GOOD explanation of how his god FIRST coded for auto-catalytic RNA ribozymes, not DNA. He started coding in RNA for his "beta" release. But then he realized that he used the wrong substrate for his code, so he had to convert to DNA. But he didn't want to throw away the code in RNA that he developed, so he kept the RNA ribozymes, using DNA to encode the sequence for the ribozymes. Then he realized that complex organisms needed polypeptide enzymes, but he was too lazy to rewrite the ribozymes, so he kept it along with the new protein enzymes. So he had to write code in DNA that will be converted to RNA that will be converted to proteins that will go through post-translation modifications to regulate the DNA code that he wrote. Yeah. That god is a HORRIBLE programmer. And he CONSTANTLY makes errors in his programming, causing diseases and other afflictions, not to mention fetal deaths. They should fire that god.

True or False The Bible is completely separate & unique book from all other books. [It hasn't plagiarized from stories and myths from surrounding Near East cultures.]

They were starting to get through to him when they made him realize the only reason he believed in the bible was because his parents and community believed in it. That may have been the first time he seriously questioned his basis for belief. But then the conversation got derailed.
I agree with Mr Andrews that the language used by the caller from Barbados is the "language of an abuser" (15:49). It's also the language of the mafioso and of the extortion racketeer. "If you don't pay up then your house/shop will be burned down and it'll be your fault"... "if you don't play ball then it'll be your fault if your family are harmed." This is all familiar language to anyone who has ever come across bullies or thugs who take it for granted that they have a right to get their own way by throwing their weight around. "If your country's ambassador doesn't vote for this resolution in the UN (to sanction the invasion of Iraq... for example) then it'll be your fault if the USA uses its influence to excludes you from aid programmes and your people starve" would be another example.
"You must believe what I say. Then you must listen to me, and do what I tell you to do, live your life the way I want you to live and give me money."
Nature can't be the "cause" of anything, because DYING/FINITE NATURE (time/space/matter/energy) was created/designed from nothing by God. And ALL MATTER doesn’t do nothing but dissipate over time - LOSING INFORMATION. That’s why you never observe any GAIN OF NEW INFORMATION (e.g. big bang, abiogenesis, mistakes (mutations) gaining in complexity/new information, star formation, evolution), because it doesn’t exist, can’t exist & never will exist.
TO FURTHER PROVE GOD; if it can be "counted or measured" it's a DYING/FINITE (having a beginning & an eventual END/death) entity that has a cause. Then, we simply ascertain what RATIONAL POSSIBLE cause has LIFE, INTELLIGENCE, LOVE, CONSCIOUSNESS & MORALITY to give and the INTELLIGENCE, POWER, PURPOSE, RESOURCES & MEANS to give it. No atheist cause (e.g. nothing, star dust, moist rocks, mud puddles, primordial soup) fits the bill. This SCIENCE points to God and nothing else. God proved/Atheism debunked.
P.S. - More evidence for God is that no atheist on the face of this earth has a RATIONAL/POSSIBLE, step-by-step atheist explanation for reality. They should SHUT DOWN THIS CHANNEL until they do have a RATIONAL/POSSIBLE, step-by-step atheist explanation for reality. The asinine, lost & clueless religious cult of atheism is INFAMOUS the world over for having ZERO ANSWERS. It’s time to dump your atheist cult, but you have to want to do it. Everybody desperately clings to the atheist cult out of tragedy or wanting to take the path of least resistance & rebel against their creator for the gift of life given them. They simply don’t want to pay the price. They expect “A FREE LUNCH” when life itself teaches you that “THERE’S NO FREE LUNCH!” But we have to pay the price for anything that has value. It’s time you say “yes” to Jesus. I’ll help you.

Why do so many Christians preaching delete their posts and threads?
Is it because they realise they've failed 2 Timothy 4 or is it because their posts admit their prejudices and they don't want people reminding themwhen they next try to preach without preparation or good instruction?
That's easily explained. They come here because they have doubts about their bible beliefs and they post the same stuff that originally convinced them to believe in the first place. They do that to try and convince themselves that their bible beliefs are correct.
Later in the day they re-read what they have posted and it dawns on them how totally stupid it sounds so they delete the evidence.

When it comes to evidence, the religious always apply double standards. It's the William Lane Craig bar, which has to be lowered for Christianity.

People pray to their Gods everyday and nothing happens. Why do they continue to bother praying?
For the same reason I buy a lottery ticket (not every day LOL). You have to be in to win.
God always answers prayer (yes, no or wait). God has his perfect timing and it's usually not the same as ours.
Because the thought of burning in hell is horrible to them
@@mobilephoneuser-pr8cj No, you're either in or you're out. If you're out or you use Pascal's Wager, you are bound for hell and praying is a waste of time, because God doesn't hear any prayer of the lost, unless it's for salvation. But Christians pray because we know God answers prayer. We already are saved from hell.
@@neverendingparty7741
Ok Skippy, now explain, I mean give an excuse as to why prayer doesn’t work as described in the Bible IF the Bible is supposedly God’s word…why can’t he simply heal amputees, Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s sufferers?
If someone severs their spinal cord in an accident, that person is paralyzed for life. No amount of prayer is going to help.
If someone is born with a congenital defect like a cleft palate, God will not repair it through prayer. Surgery is the only option.
*In the Bible, Jesus makes very specific statements about the power of prayer.* *Since Jesus is God, and God and the Bible are perfect, those statements should be true and accurate.*
God is supposedly all-knowing and all-loving.
*Jesus says, "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."* *He does not say, "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it, unless you are praying about an amputated limb, in which case I will always reject your prayer."* *Jesus also says, "Nothing will be impossible to you," and regenerating a limb should therefore be possible.*
The fact that God refuses to answer every prayer to regenerate a lost limb seems strange, doesn't it?
God has no reason to discriminate against amputees. If he is answering millions of other prayers a day, God should be answering the prayers of amputees too.
It’s not only SLAVERY, imagine this book God especially the OT one allowed HUMAN to do WAR for Him😮

@@ChallengeYourBeliefs
Funnily enough there's an argument to be made that Shakespeare's plays only survived because they're in similar language style to the early KJV versions.
@@ChallengeYourBeliefs point taken. I referenced the Vulgate because, with modern technology, we can get a more accurate translation even if you don’t understand Latin.

Our resident fragment of faeces has not even studied his bible.
