    I wouldn’t worry about the Hondas are all reliable . Maybe a few problems , a recall , but those were all fixed . I wouldn’t be afraid to buy any of them

    The blade stop is an awesome feature. You see it as a gimmick because you don’t bag.. for those that do, not having to worry about re starting the mower every time you stop to empty is gold.

      I see your point. Yeah I don’t bag so that makes sense. Thank you

      Yes. This. I’m going to be buying one very soon to replace my John Deere JS40 for this reason and the versa mow. It is convertible between mulch, side discharge and bag but it is all or nothing. I have a ton of leaves to bag in the fall and spring. I currently have to restart after every bag empty. When I was 20 years younger it wasn’t a big deal. Now it is. I also want to be able to mulch some of the leaves and bag the rest. Honda is the only one who offers both.
      I wish I had made the change sooner but now is as good a time as any for o get one new while I still can.

      I can't imagine buying an engine with a plastic cam shaft.

    I bought mine in early 2023 and yes i had trouble starting it snd my llcal honda dealer fixed the camshaft issue at least 6 months before the recsll came out and it has done great ever since. I bought the electric start one snd i love thst feature. I use mobil one full synthetic oil in it. It vuts really nice. I wash it up every time i use it. Its a great lawower and i beleive that it will last for many years

    **Just hit over a year on my Honda Hrx217hya Lawn mower. Here is my Honest Review on this machine after using it for over a year long.

    I had the HRX 217 HMA - the key start for 16 years. I planned on updating in 2020, but that's when Honda has big issues. This mower has been fantastic and needed few repairs. No way would I want what they made most recently. TIME FOR A CHANGE. I bought a STIHL battery mower. Love it and glad I made the change. Self propelled, quiet. Spring Special got an extra battery free. Only need one per mowing here. 30 pounds lighter. Only find Stihl at a dealer. Never bought a mower at a big box store.

    With the customers I see I just use truefuel, and never worry about having issues. My customers would tell you the same especially the ones who use their snowblowers 2 times a year. They will deliver truefuel to your house if the nearest store is hours away. It's worth it.

      Interesting. I may do this with my 1332 Honda snowblower. As it’s 4xs price this mower lol

      @johndenver8574 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I definitely would over a stabilizer. I have worked with many customers, and seen many ways people store their snowblowers. People usually forget to either shut the fuel off and run the engine dry or they put the wrong amount of stabilize in it. True fuel for my customers has been the best and easiest way to store all types of small gas engines. Yes it is expensive but if you add new carburetor costs and labor it ends up being worth it.

      @@johndenver8574 what do you think of these new Hondas? Crappy quality? As someone that looks at them

    • @johndenver8574
      @johndenver8574 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      These new honda mowers are wonderful quality if you buy the commercial. However residential mowers as you have in the video are coming back for the plastic cam gear issue. Kawasaki did the same thing with John deere tractors in the 90s to early 2000s. After the recall was finished however none came back with another issue. Same as honda. Once the recall is done your set. I only buy Hondas for all small engine equipment. Now that honda will be gone in this sector I only use Kawasaki. Their engines are just as good, and last fir years over this new battery stuff from what I've seen.

      @@johndenver8574 you wrong the plastic cam never haved that instead have metal camshaft on honda hrx hrd hrn if being fixed and become safe instead is not true safe why the starter rope of honda hrx is too much soft if you have a kids or toddler that him can hurt itself or worse start the engine simply pull the rope of the engine and start it inside the garage house in that case is better for really safety recall for everyone

    My uncle runs a gardening company with 20 mowers. He changes the oil every 25 hours. Uses 5w/40 synthetic which is wrong, but he says he gets 1000 hours out of them. He likes Briggs & Honda, says they last about the same, but the briggs will burn more oil, the Honda will get more faults like carb issues and fuel leaks. Once he's done with them he fills them with 15w/50 and gives them to the kids to use on their summer gardening pocket money jobs.

    People making different comments. I had that Honda 16 years. My opinion is Honda let many customers down. I no longer want anything to do with those mowers. Years ago the Honda only needed a spring service job done. Not like that anymore. Have better things to do. AND better places to spend my money. Have fun.
