@sbrener the noise starts to get kind of high over 400. I try to never take a photos over 800 iso. I have tried the noise reduction settings but in my experience they don't do much.
Good evening! I've been looking for what I've been looking for for months and I found here with you a hope to help me! I have a Samsung gx10 (Pentax K10D) How do I adjust the focal length and optical stabilization for a non Pentax lens (100-300)? At 100? At 150? At 300? I can't find the answer anywhere. Thanks!
Thanks man. I just updated my camera to the latest firmaware and I couldn't use it with any old my old lenses until i found your video =) Do you still use Pentax for digital or fully switched to Nikon?
I actually don't really get rid of old cameras, I just buy more. The most advanced camera I own right now is a mirror-less Sony. I also have like 5 Pentax (both film and digital), 1 Nikon, 1 Fuji, 2 Olympus, 2 Ricoh...etc. I'm glad I could help you!
When you set the aperture on an M or K lens, is the lens stopped down, unlike a film camera these lenses were made for in which the lens stays wide open until the exposure? If the lens is stopped down I assume the viewfinder gets much dimmer and framing and focusing is difficult. Is using "A" lenses different?
The aperture should remain open until you take the photo regardless of the series of lens. They all have apertures that work the same way with a mechanical switch.
Thank you for the firmware part of your video. I really needed it.
Thanks for the help mate !
I just got some old lenses and you helped me alot !
Thank you!!!! I was able to update my K10D
Thanks, helps to get the most out of the camera.
Thanks, very clear and simple.
@sbrener the shutter speed is automatically set

For older lenses for 35 mm don’t forget use factor 1.6 - Pentax k20 is APS .

I think that's just what it puts into the meta data, I'm not sure how much it affects anything else. I would probably just put 150mm.
@@PrimeStudios Thank you for the feedback! I will try and come back. Good evening !

It does not record video.
I agree, bang for buck you can't beat the K20D. I got mine after my *istD finally gave up the ghost.
...I still own this camera, it even has a Jpeg electronic shutter burst mode! way ahead of it's time.
