    My one year old dropped my s22 into a bucket of water in my bath tub, it was in the bucket, lost for over three hours. My wife finally found it in the bucket, i didn't turn it on, i found this video on my wifes phone. I was so glad and shocked, praise the Lord, after blow drying the charger port, the phone charged and works perfectly, great job Samsung!🎉

    My worry is that charger port, that water drop notification is saying the charger port, or something is wet, & to dry it out. That's going to take a couple days or so in rice. Longer after all those rice tests, I assume? Great video, & thanks for the tests & results. Hope the phone still works, charges, & holds charge!

    • @BossyGerbasi
      @BossyGerbasi ปีที่แล้ว +12

      There's no way it would take that long. I tried this on older phones and the charger water notification would go away after an hour or so.
      Especially if you blew into the charger port like an old cartridge game.

    • @xavierninetwofourfiveone6901
      @xavierninetwofourfiveone6901 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Brandon Gerbasi I got a tiny bit into my charger port, & it took like 3hrs in rice, & cutting a piece of rice in half & sticking it in the charger port around the metal piece in there, to get the notification to go away. I made the original comment while waiting during those 3hrs, on my girls phone.

    I have my s22 ultra in nopw under warranty (it will not fast charge, it will only 5v 2amp charge aka 10watt) i have been told because i live near the coast (humidity) i have to pay $270 to repair my phone. appatrently there in internal corrosion on the out side part of the internal part of the usb c connector but there is no water damage indercator etc.

      @xavierninetwofourfiveone6901 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ravenlife7443 it does. If you watch the screen of the phone, there's a water drop notification, this is because water gets in the charger port. I'm assuming because if it's not dried properly, & water is there while it's charging, you risk frying your whole phone.

    My previous phone that I used around 2 to 3 years, the a52 with a rating of 67 eventually was deemed unusable after water damage just a week ago, I deliver food and often the phone is on a bike getting wet from rain, and a week ago it happened, the phone was in a boot loop and after drying it it was still acting weird, I opened it up (fully destroying the watertight seal) and saw water got into the phone itself, how I have no clue, considering these phones are so called waterproof, and that rain actually got inside.
    I'm assuming after some time the rubber seals can move or dislocate removing the watertightness, I'll never trust these IP ratings, be careful guys

    • @TheSquirrleGuy
      @TheSquirrleGuy ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends if the seal is secured or not and the manufacturer and if everything is fine.
      It is not waterproof it is water resistant no matter what it will survive.
      My brother has his a52 5g and it got destroyed from a small fall it was garbage.
      Then he went for something in his IB program to collect trash and things.
      His phone was dirty so he cleaned it with water and they say it's "IP67" but it died after being washed by clean water.
      IP68 is as high as water resistance can get for thirty minute's submereged into 1.5 meter's into water and 1.0 meter for 30 minute's for IP67.
      And the manufacturer was bin hindu informatic's made in india which was garbage and it was quantitive not qualitive.
