That is some car! Love the sound and the build. The Chevy LS motor is definitely a great way to go. Reliable naturally aspirated hp. There is no substitute for cubic inches. By the way that 300ZX in the background looks like a sweet ride as well.
Not quite a simple answer but I'll try to keep it short ... Also I am not very experienced in LS swaps. With such a wide variety of LS engines with wide pricing there are cheap ways and expensive ways. There are a few companies that make "Kits" (Chavis Performance, Renegade Hybrids, Stuttgart Muscle to name a few. Swap parts alone budget about 8-10K. Then add engine, super cheap junkyard LS to fully built LS7. Then if your mating to the Porsche body harness you need a module for that to retain all factory Porsche gauges just translated from the GM computer. Then add labor if it's not a diy of about 40 hours. I'd say DIY can be done for as little as 12-15K. For professional install double it.
@@tkautosports5905 but isn't the main issue finding a 911 with a blown engine ? Don't most places just part out and not even offer clean cars with blown engines ?
So 6k to 7k for the conversion parts, plus the car and the engine with ecu/wiring. Also the wiring into the car will be extra(gm to porsche harness, gauges, etc
This is great! Never saw anything like this. This is a great alternative as Porsche engine prices are super expensive. I would also like to know the cost for doing this to a street car.

Great vid and great build. Very nicely done! Loved the startup and the drive. What other cars can the LS7 be put in. Thanks for the time stamp Good Life.
Great video. Love the way everything flows. This would be a great Idea for cars w timing belts such as pre 430 Ferraris (360, 355 etc) stick this engine in and reduce maintenance.
Forgot to mention the editing is second to none. Excellent camera work. At one point u had 3 cameras running, when the driver (TJ) did one to two to 3. You showed 3 different viewpoints front, outside right and rear and they were all in synch and w the shifts. Also, killer intro and great outro. Awesome. Can you share your equipment and editing software? Thanks. Awesome job 👍
Thank You Hogan H. Yes we did have 3 camera's running at the same time and it's always a bit of a challenge to synch them together for continuity. Wanted to do the same thing during the 'Donuts" scene but the bumper camera ran out of juice. The batteries are the weak point with the GoPros. I will list the equipment in the vid's description but here it is: 2 GoPro black 7 and 1 GoPro black 8 cameras. Editing software Filmora 9 the basic version. Thanks for your comment and watching.
I would love to do this kind of swap after my turbo ls powered fd3s build..I'd keep awd(love my f30 335i x-drive) but I think I'd supercharge it..intake on the left duct and water intercooler on the right(or both reusing factory air intake holes in boot lid)
Wow, "The Green Hell " lives again. Back in 2018 She was available for sale at a whopping $85k at Porsche dealership.. Originally the car was built on rotisserie by GMG, over $400k was spent by the original owner.
This car is bad ass, making an All the Porsche more affordable and more maintenance savvy. You cant beat that for a performance junky…. Heck yaaahhhhh..👍👍😳😳🤔🤔
The 4.0 liter flat 6 makes 394-520 hp naturally aspirated. I'd say the 5.5 liter gm v8 would have been a better swap... but it's as expensive as a poor man's divorce 😢
We suggest you get some wheelie bars to keep the car from flipping on its roof. Yea, that will be awesome and the sound will be insane. Best of luck with your plans. Thanks for watching.
I'm a die hard "LS swap the world" kinda guy but...........That thing sounds awful in a porsche turbo. You guys need to spend some time developing a quality sounding exhaust note and this build will be perfect. Just my opinion.
Wow!! Great video. That is a super alternative to spending $50k+
We agree!
I love this car!
Car is amazing. TJ does terrific work. Can't wait for the next project.
Definitely!
Yup
Oh, tires are super sticky yet the car spun with no problem. Lots of power
yes
The conversion definitely seems well worth it. Looks great and the marriage with the engine and transmission seems ideal. Beautiful car.
We agree!
Thing is an animal
an animal with some very large teeth
Would love to see it run at the track
same here.
Very soon. The weather here has not been kind the past few weeks.
Would love to do this. Great vid. Loved the drive.
Thanks 👍
That is so interesting. Good project.
Thank you! Cheers!
Very informative. The Porsche is probably faster than before. Great video.
It is much faster than before. Thanks for watching!
👍
Great vid as always. Enjoyed the camera work on the donuts and the drive. Great job
Glad you enjoyed it
Love the idea. Love the editing, nice camera work
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thing sounds crazy. I am guessing that it will run mid 10's in the quarter mile. Thanks for sharing.
👍👍👍

Couldn't agree more!
After watching this I would definitely buy a Porsche with a blown engine and get this conversion done. How much would that cost?
I am thinking the same thing. If TJ does not chime in on this question I will ask him and follow up.

Should put this in my 300ZX. Lot less maintenance
let us know if u do
Id just want launch control and a radio... Such a sick fun looking build
👍👍👍
@@goodlife777 Great work with the video & interview. No BS, jumpcuts, or annoying music and straight to the point. You should get an award!
Thank You!!!!!
such a shock to see the brock vk in a American workshop
Good eye! We have 2 here. One in that Mobil livery and the other in street trim. Blue group A VK.
everytime we go to the shop there is always a great surprise there. Thanks for watching and commenting.
EXCELLENT video guys. Can't wait to see what you do with the noble.
Awesome love this build
Thank You!!! And thanks for watching
Awesome car!!!!!

ain't this the sweetest sounding Porsche?
Thank You!!!
where do you get the adapter plate for the LS?
Chavis Performance
Kennedy Engineering
Stuttgart Muscle

I loved your radio!
Thanks
Needs a single exit exhaust. 8 in 1 collector would be fitting for this car
exhaust packaging is tight, an 8 into 1 collector is huge.
Have u got a Brock 5L vk commodore in America the 05 car at the end
Yes, you are correct.
The mighty LS
Great engine 👍

Clean as any factory build. And if it’s one thing Americans know, it’s a V-8.
I love “This was done on a closed course “ when did race tracks have yellow dividing lines and business down the side🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Looks great. Nice weight savings on the whole build.
Thanks 👍
Where is the radiator cooling system
Stock Porsche location. There are 3 radiators behind the front bumper openings, Left, center and right. Plumbed in series.
I guess it is a wet sump? It would be really nice if they could have used the z06 dry sump .
😳 😼😎..... Freaking awesome build!!!!
Thank You!!!
Is this car for sale? Really interested.
Regret to inform you that the car has been sold.

6,10 yrs from now that c8 z06 motor will in these eh 👀👀... right along my timeline for one 😁....

Is it fair to say this car would run about a high ten second quarter mile?
Absolutely!
You wont gain power with the 180s you will lose power between 40-60hp but you will gain oooodles of torque
Just whyyy do that to a 911 a bountiful work of art
As was mentioned in the vid it was either part it out or do a transplant. So I suppose from where you are standing it is the lesser of two evils.
Cool feature: electric power steering... I just threw up a little

For Gods sake paint it.
LS Swap in a 911 makes me puke in my mouth
Not too crazy about LS swaps ourselves, but man it works extremely well as far as cost and performance.
Not a fan either, but gotta admit it kicks ass in this build
Poor baby Cry about it lmao
Very slow.
LOL😂😂😂
