I saw this movie more than 30 years ago. My brother and I still quote Vincent Price from it. I'm ordering my copy next week. Thanks so much for your wonderful videos. Keep up the good work!
Saw it on Netflix UK a few months back and loved it. Good to see it getting a bit of love. Kenny Everett was a fabulous comedian and some of his sketches are on TH-cam. Definitely worth checking them out.
It's very much of it's time. Saw this as a kid and the last scene with VP in it really left an impression on me. XD Reminds me of a proto "scary movie" with all it's referential humor.
Cobwebs Coffee Club in full effect this morning! I was on the fence, almost bought this because I remembered my dad watching this and saying how fun it was...I may try before I buy! love the cover art on that - having Vincent Price on the cover art is almost enough reason to buy it on its own!
Love.Bloodbath at the House of Death , always makes me laugh .. Vincent Price was funny as hell in it, he just seemed.to be having fun with the role ... Very very rarely hear this film mentioned so its good to see someone do a video on their channel
as soon as i saw this videos title i couldn't wait to see what you (Danial) would make of the late, great, kenny everett. so glad you enjoyed it. such a fun movie.
Just watched it. Vincent Price is great! Most of the jokes are funny, some hilarious. I think the ending is a let down, but some of the deaths are very inventive. The can opener scene is wild!
I like this one a lot. I grew up with it at an early age because I remember it would air on USA. The mix of gore and comedy really threw me through a loop when I was a kid! Love the can opener beheading!
I love this movie! This is one I saw as a kid on TV and then spent years looking for this movie that I only had the faintest recollection of a few scenes in my brain and wasn't even a 100% of what the name of the movie was. I just knew it was something with "bloodbath" in the title. I finally found it about 6 or 7 years ago and have reaatched it quite a few times since then. Side note, that "can opener decapitation" scene is gold! 😂👍
Kenny Everett was huge in the UK. He was one of the first modern djs. He toured with the Beatles and was friends with Freddie Mercury. I was too young for his TV shows first time round but watching on repeat it seems like everyone from British pop music appeared. Billy Connolly was in them. BBC 4 extra regularly repeats the captain Kremmen radio series. This film has so many people from 80s UK TV and was co written by the absolute legend that was Barry Cryer, a decades long fixture on UK radio. To me this has never been a Vincent Price movie, it was the Kenny Everett horror.
@@cobwebschannel It really comes through..your passion , knowledge and enthusiasm along with.your content makes for very enjoyable times spent .. I really hope your channel continues to grow 🙏.. David from the Nottinghamshire..UK
Hi Daniel! Awesome review. Looks goofy and fun. Also that Creature from the Black Lagoon movie poster is so cool. One.of my fav 50s horror flicks. Love your channel. Keep up the awesome work.
I rented this on VHS around 1997. Had a good time with it, but the third act really fell off and became a blender of ideas that didn't work. Anyway, I liked it enough to try to find it on DVD several years later. One didn't exist for USA, but there was a UK region. I bought it and played it on my region-free laptop. Amazingly, I still have and use that laptop. I think I gave the DVD to my sister. I always bring this movie up when people talk about Vincent Price. So many price fans have no idea this exists.
Film was hated in UK when released, sunk without trace.Time seems to have been kind to it,and it seems to get, better reviews now.I always found Everett a major irritant.Pamela is Australian originally.Hope you're well, channel excellent as always.
Have you seen a horror spoof called Hysterical? It came out around the same time as bloodbath. Was released on vhs in the UK, but has never been seen since. Give it a go, and I'd be interested in seeing a review.
At last someone else that likes this movie, I love it, 1st saw it on TV and I watch anything with Price in and I was amazed by it, the opening is like the most a greatest hits of slasher movies and slashers were new when this came out and I loved it and was hooked and then it just got more and more batshit crazy from there, more of price would of been nice, but he was superb as always when he was on screen. Do please tell, have you plans for more Vincent Price movies, I've been looking through all your vids and see so few, would of thought his work with Roger Corman and America International in the 60's would be 100% your thing. if I may, have a look at Theater of Blood, it is, in my mind, one of the absolute best Price movies
yuppers....great fun in this one. It doesn't take itself too seriously...(pun intended) so we can have the good time. Most of the jabs hit their mark and those that don't are so far off they are even more fun because of it😁
I avoided this one because I didn't think it would be funny. But now I gotta watch it. Not familiar with the to lead actor at all. I know Stephenson as a cast member of SNL when Crystal, Short, Guest and Shearer were there.
Over-the-top overacting in spoof type movies of ANY kind spells uber UN-funny. Jut never works. The NAKED GUY and AIRPLANE movies are perfect examples of exactly how to do it right. They should suffice as an educational lesson for people who aspire to making spoofs.
I find this film funny from beginning to end. Vincent Price is hysterical and was obviously having a hell of a good time. As far as your plot criticism, this is simply not the kind of film you watch for plot. You watch it for the comedy and the performers. Same with Italian horror. You watch it for the gore set pieces and the atmosphere. The film might be great, but if you go into it for plot you're most likely going to be disappointed.
Extremely camp and a tongue in cheek spoof fest. Barry Cryer wrote and stared as the police inspector in this. He was noted for writing jokes for most of the big British comedians and tv shows of the 60s through to the 2000s.
Any movie where Vincent Price says
“Piss Off !” Gets a thumbs up from me😂
So true 😂
Glad to see you like our films from over the pond. Great review as always 😊🐾💜👍👋
The back of the box looks like a spoof of Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid' album cover.
I thought the same thing.
Oh, it most certainly is. Even down the font.
Kenny Everett was hilarious in his tv show. Pamela stephenson is married to Billy connelly.
how could you forget Pamela Stephenson in Superman 3? hubba hubba!
Classic movie with the late great Kenny Everett

I remember the Kenney Everett Video Show used to come on late, late night after the reruns of Benny Hill where I grew up in the US.

Well said!
I am shocked that Everett did not try and put Cupid Stunt in the movie.

Pamela is a stunner. I can't even hazard a guess at the amount of, ermm, time, I spent thinking about her in the early 80s hehehehe

Hi Dan. Could you review something by Pete Walker? He's no Carpenter or Argento but his films deserve to be seen by more people.
YES!!Walker is an unsung hero of sleasy, gory British horror. He greatly deserves a retrospective
The blind guy in the pub made me laugh
Good review for a movie I never heard of 😂 As an aside, I'm one of the 13 people who actually love Superman 3. Maybe time to give it another chance?
I still have a VHS of this film.
Never heard about this one going to my tubi and get back to ya love ya thanks.
Just watched this the other day & it slaps!!
A+ video!

Ony of my top 5 fav horror spoofs!
Just watched this one and I had a lot of fun with it.
Kenny Everett was a little before my time but I do remember him cracking me up.
It's currently streaming on Tubi.
i was 13 when i first saw this then i rewatched it on netflix uk about a year ago vincent price was great in this
You should check out another horror comedy from 1973 Arnold with Stella Stevens also from Vinegar Syndrome 👍👍👍
I’ve been looking to pre-order this one. Glad you covered it.
Gummo is also being released in September I think.
I don't think I've ever heard of this film, either, and I'm almost 70.
I've never heard of this movie, either, after 60 years of being a horror geek.
Looks to me like the back of the slipcover is a parody of Black Sabbath’s WAR PIGS album cover. Even the font is similar.
Vinny in a comedy, saw part now I gotta see the rest.
What a title!

This movie is downright hilarious

The title of this flick gets 3 stars alone😊
For real. haha
Timestamp please.
So uh, was it a gore fest? Are there cool kills?
For British comedy fans, a very young Michael McIntyre played ET!
Over-the-top overacting in spoof type movies of ANY kind spells uber UN-funny. Jut never works. The NAKED GUY and AIRPLANE movies are perfect examples of exactly how to do it right. They should suffice as an educational lesson for people who aspire to making spoofs.
